Here are the sections I like to hit up when I come in order of importance.1) The instant noodle section: This will do in a pinch if I am starving and they have a great selection of spicy. There are Vietnamese, Japanese, and Taiwanese staples too.2) produce: they have a nice mist going on in the leafy vegetable area. They have a good variety, 4 types of bok choy some days, not that I can tell a difference. I like to get their giant leeks - those are usually fresh. I also really like their potato variety, from the diff miniature ones to the sweet potatoes to the purple ones. 💜 Their collection is most extensive. The fruits I usually don't go for because they are expensive compared to other places and you run the risk of them being moldy a lot. I once bought half a jackfruit from a vendor there for just $10; ate it for days and it came with 30 seeds that I steamed with rice. That was worth it. They also have petite exotic bananas and plantains that go for a market price.3) frozen foods; I really like some of the kimchi mandu and korean pancakes brands they carry4) rice cakes and mochi. They carry rice cakes from a shop on El Camino that I like. Speaking of which, they also sometimes sell bread from the Korean bakery chain Tour Les Jour5) precooked items like their soups, fried chicken, side dishes like marinated lotus root, gimbap, whatever's cooking-and when I am not in a rush6) the marinated meats, pork jowl, and their quality ground pork7) snack section: turtle chips, 🐢 anyone?8) alcohol - ok since they have this displayed almost everywhere, I do buy whatever is on sale because IF YOU GO TO A KOREAN SUPERMARKET AND DON'T BUY RICE WINE, DID YOU EVEN GO? They have Japanese and Chinese liquors as well.9) ice cream: ice cream mochi, corn 🌽 ice cream, taiyaki, the Hawaiian flavors like ube cheese and other necessitiesThat's pretty much it. Can't even think of a top 10. Hope this helps your grocery inspo. Everything is tidy and clean here. The service is usually poor. This is a very suspicious corporation as you can tell by the bouncers at the door, the exit only being where it is, they used to stick these "paid" stickers on your purchases until they realized it was not too necessary, etc. You can be sure they will give you a hard time with any returns. Not speaking from personal experience but just saying I believe the other reviewers.

Good Asian supermarket! It sells many stuffs like other supermarket but I see they specialize with different meats, beers, sushi 🍣, butane fuel, and kitchen. Little more expensive than the supermarket in San Jose. It also has a small restaurant there too.

Great place to buy Asian products and food. I got this amazing tonkatsu curry in the food court inside. It was delicious, with lots of crispy meat and creamy mild curry for about 18$. I ate about half when I got full, so it was definitely worth the money! Later I bought frozen dumplings that were better priced than the 99 ranch market. I also got a veggie tempura plate that was only 5$! I will be back asap to find out what other great things they have.

1st time coming here and I already love the place. They have varieties of Asian food here. I just hope it's close to where I live. Will definitely go back everytime I'm in the area.

Seafood and meat departments... Woo-hoo! They have everything. Couple things I saw I didn't like were, throwing away sooo much uni. Sad to see or "sad to sea" I should say. The men's restroom was supplied with industrial paper towels for toilet paper. Ouch!

Very decent grocery place. All items are fresh and in good condition. Shelves are organized and there are always staffs keep shelves nice looking. This is my go-to place for bbq meat. Love their beef. Perfect for home bbq. But it is indeed an expensive grocery place. I still need a place for Asian grocery since trader joes and whole foods doesn’t have too much of asian item. Also ranch 99 stuffs are mostly in bad quality.

One of the best seafood department in this area produces are fresh but not locally grown. Items not on sale are a little pricey. Organized and clean. Customer service is good. I do not suggest anyone go there on weekends, you will be caught in the parking lot for a while. Some crazy drivers act crazier.

Please Don’t buy any electronics from H mart, once you opened you can’t return it.When 99 can return it in one month.

You know, I have been to many different and diverse groceries. From huge global chains to street corner mom and pops, and even online.HMart is extremely clean and strict with quality, packaging, and is very customer-centric. It is superior in many subtle ways, in line with the awesome Korean culture. They are proud but not loud.If you ever get a chance to visit Seoul, you'll see this spirit everywhere. They have ready to go kits, gorgeous seafood and above-the-fold meats. Produce and frozen foods are impeccable. Best part of HMart is that they have restaurants not a cafeteria in the store. Good food and authentic to the culture whether fusion or specific. I typically end up eating a small meal before actually shopping...the tonkatsu curry is a winner!Side note, try the ice cream they have from the Philippines...super good 👍🏻My new fave here is the dumpling selection 😍

Good fruit, serviceable Korean food. Ready to eat food is not good though. Better Korean groceries in Sunnyvale but this is right off the highway so better.

Of course they have a good selection of a lot of Asian grocery. But I believe the most impressive is the selection of pork. Pork is big part of Korean cuisine, and we find many different part/cut of pork here. And there are food court with Korean and Japanese cuisine.

The market had a wide variety of Asian and American products but they day we went (Monday around 1 pm) the shelves were somewhat empty. The food court offered 2 Korean and 1 Japanese fusion options. Seating felt limited and the whole store felt a little cramped. The seafood looked really good as well as the marinated and sliced meats. The shabu also looked very good.

Worth going back too. It was a quick in and out stop for fresh Dungeness crab, and herbal fixings (garlic and scallions namely...unfortunately the ginger looked scrubbed and wet) to dip the to-be-home-cooked crab in. It has the largest 'wet' area for fish and crab of all H-Marts that I have been to in two states on both coasts. I would say its crabs were in far better shape and taste, than the ones purchased from another H-Mart (south of San Francisco) >18 months ago toward the end of that foreshortened season.

This was my first exposure to HMart even though I have heard of them many times. I was impressed with all the imported ingredients and variety of products. I got some great meal ideas just while wandering around. I'll be back!

This place is awesome!!!They have a lot of items from produce to grocery to meat, seafood they even have housewares and personal items!. It's like a place that they got everything. They have a lot of alcohol from the east and west, a nice pair for their sashimi that looks so fresh. As an Asian market, they do have a LOT of rices to choose from! They have Kimchi, and Korean foods inside as well. And If you get hungry from all those shopping, they do have a food court inside with delicious food!Check their Seafood section as well they have a lot of fresh fish, live abalones, and live Dungeness crabs!.This "asian" store has Western groceries as well. And finally the Produce section, they have a lot of Veggies and fruits that looks so good.My experience on this place is very good, the employees are friendly, the market is located at a plaza where you'll find almost anything.Would come again for sure5/5 would recommend for your grocery needs

Dragon fruit looks good outside but turns bad smell inside.Bad quality.Worse still, customer service says no return and hangs off the phone saying “I am the manager and no supervisor to transfer (from customer service line)”.

Interesting selection of seafood, including things like parrotfish, which I didn't know you could eat (always thought of it as an aquarium fish), and live abalone, geoduck, and sea squirt, which I *did* know you could eat.Has my favorite drink brand Sac Sac, but only one flavor, and my favorite low-sugar Vitasoy soy milk, but other than that they have a lesser variety of soft drinks than a 99 Ranch (although at least they're not all spread out all over the store on top of random top-loading cold cases like at 99 Ranch). The bad thing is that there was raw, de-shelled seafood just sitting out in a basket, not on ice, not in a cold case, just on an unmanned table, with bugs flying and crawling around.

All Korean ingredients are available. The neat environment and friendly staff make my shopping enjoyable. In particular, well-prepared beef ribs are the minimum ingredients. Give it a try. You won't regret it.

Asian market, but bigger! If you’re looking for specific meats and seafood, then this place is for you. You want pho? Boom, go here! You want to make curry? Boom, just go to H-mart. You want Korean barbecue ingredients and make them at home? Boom! Go to H-mart! Other then that, the American products are over priced and WalMart/Target is cheaper.

Very big Korean supermarket with everything from produce, meat, seafood, household stuff, deli, and a food court, which is now fully reopened since the pandemic close down. Like the disinfectant wipes at the entrance.

Wow... the meat department is just amazing. Marinated steak (they were sampling today). Awesome produce. Tons of Asian food... and yet they still carry Guiness beer etc... just moved here. Great store. Update... have now shopped here many times. It is my go to store. Clean. Nice team members. Fair prices. Got smoked duck today... looks so yummy. Went to the Japanese market today... no basil of any type...hmart is in stock on tons of basil and many other herbs. Thanks hmart

There is a good selection of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese products. The inside is clean and well maintained compared to some other Asian grocery stores.

In A Nutshell:-East Coast Korean grocery store H Mart (not to be confused w/ South Korea's infamous "e-mart") finally graces the Bay Area w/ it's hangul presence.-I do wish the location was more central (it's on the border of Cupertino, Saratoga, West San Jose).-Tons of fellow Koreans in attendance for the Grand Opening (4/5/17).-I don't see much inside to really point-out.-Small to mid-sized grocery store.-Small food court w/ three options: Korean, Japanese & Chinese food.-Checkout was surprisingly speedy, however, I would wait to judge this after the Grand Opening.Overall, for now I think I will continue to support local & shop at Super Kyopo!
