The San Gregorio General Store is definitely worth checking out. They have a nice selection of baked goods, cold/hot drinks, food, souvenirs, clothing, and books. The bar looks like a fun place as does the live music area. There are picnic tables just out front which offer a beautiful view of the countryside.~~Credit cards are accepted here.

Can’t believe I found this place only recently after living in the Bay Area for a long time. It’s easy to miss because you are either busy driving down route 1, or, after a long curvy road and just can’t wait to hit the beach. This place is a great place to drop by - for a nice drink or bites (the best breakfast braid made by la Honda bakery, available only on Saturday and Sunday), or books from local authors, or even children’s book. They have amazing live band sessions too, it’s just a great place to hang out.

A hidden gem. It's not just a general store or coffee shop. It has those features and also a fantastic array of local crafts and goods, as well as goods supporting disadvantaged societies all around the world.Includes a bookstore, tables to eat in front of a warm potbelly stove. I was enchanted with this place. Highly highly recommend to stop by!

Great place with lots of very original articles to buy: hats you won't find anywhere else, books, cast iron cooking stuff and more.Great home made pastries, croissants, pain au chocolat...I almost forget: one of the best bloody mary around.Nice terrasse where if you are lucky you will enjoy the music of some Ferrari's stopping by.

I’ve driven past the general store so many times, and oh boy, was I glad I finally stopped. The building was beautiful, service was friendly, and they had live music in on the Saturday we visited. Worth a stop for a coffee or beer!

Came here on a group ride. Had no idea that this place existed. Pretty happy to discovered it.There was a band playing when I arrived and a crowd of 10 to 20 watching them. Great small town general store vibes. I gravitated toward the book section. There was tourist stuff, fun stuff, clothes, and hats among other things.I did not spend too much time inside. I think I will have to come back here at some point and soak it in. Still interesting enough for five stars.

This is an amazing destination in itself. The store has a wide selection of cool things from books, to hats, to kitchen ware.Music on the weekends. A toasty wood fired stove when it's cold. Places to sit indoors and out.Do yourself a favor and check it out

Secluded store close to 84 and Skyline. Enjoyed the sun ☀️ and live band along with a couple of beers 🍻 and Bloody Mary’s which were super spicy 🌶 = 😋 Shop had some really cool nicknacks that you will not find anywhere else. Definitely worth the trip!

Great beach, very long there is a lagoon of San Gregorio River where the salmons went up river to spawn. There is a high hill you can hike up with beautiful views of both side, north abd south directions. There are 2 caves or Grottoes on the beach. Sometimes there are many seabirds along the creek with tidal flow.

The coolest little spot off the coast highway. I personally buy my soap from here, and I live in Austin Texas. That's right, everytime we come to the area, we load up on soap. I love that although this little general store stands for what they believe in as well. It's admirable. Seeing the "Please, I can't breathe" quote on the glass really choked me up to be reminded of not only hearing that over and over, but living through the civil rights protests that followed. I will always come back and enjoy some live music and some drinks everytime I am close by. Love this little general store.

Live music every weekend in their beautiful stage yard + delicious snacks and drinks from the bar (served with a smile).This place has a little of everything, and I always end up buying something new for my garden or kitchen when we go here.10/10 would recommend going here on the weekends when the weather is nice!

This general store is an iconic, old coastal structure. It has a bar and an outside patio. When the weather is good, local bands often play there on the weekends and all of them are very good. The store has a wide variety of clothing items, books, hats, cooking items, stuffed animals, post cards and more. It's easy to spend an hour just browsing all the interesting things for sale. I go there when I need to find interesting birthday or Christmas gifts. Getting there is easy, as it's located at the intersection of Higway 84 and Stage Road, just over a mile east of Highway 1. Parking is easy too, and it's in a very safe environment.
