This is my local WalgreensUpdate: 2 stars --> 3 starsI have not had or seen issues with staff in awhile. This store is doing better. Printed our wedding photos here and the process was quick and easy. Be nice to the new security staff, they are great.Original Post:This is my local Walgreens. The store is clean and organized, and they generally have what I need. There is one problematic employee who is overtly racist and classist and will yell/harass/refuse service/threaten customers she has prejudice against. I have to write this on behalf of the customers who I have seen treated unfairly. On the upside, the new pharmacists have good customer service. Sometimes during peak hours there is a long line at the pharmacy with only one employee. They have been combatting theft by locking up various essentials so you have to wait for an employee if you want toothpaste or deodorant.

Very rude female pharmacist, didn’t get her name. My prescription was out of stock so I asked if she could help me look up another location that has it, she said she can’t do that and then hung up on me. Totally baffled at the behavior

Avoid pharmacy at all costs unless you like wasting hours with horrible customer service. I have had multiple issues here. In just one instance the pharmacy gave me the wrong prescription, and handling the return was a nightmare.

Wish I could give negative stars. I Try to avoid calling by using Walgreens app but found they freely change dates when they will refill prescriptions leaving days of gaps without medications. Pharmacist was rude and told me they were too busy with vaccines to fill prescriptions timely. And insurance won’t allow requests of early refills. I have a critically ill teenager that has missed several days of doses more than once. Obviously leaving this location and Walgreens altogether. Avoid, especially if you actually need your meds.

like all other comments, avoid pharmacy at all cost. Didn't fill my prescription for many days after I submitted refill request, then close before posted hours when they finally fill it. Leaving me w/o medication. They could not care less.

Easy going staff and not to busy. They had just what I needed and wanted but they're prices are definitely high. No security when I went in the afternoon.

Always delayed on prescriptions when calling in advance. They say they will call back but I end up having to call back 24 hours later. The customer service is rude and unprofessional. They are very slow and inefficient especially when the prescription needed, is important and ends up being delayed when needed to be taken on time.

This is a review for pharmacy. Front of store workers are excellent and friendly. Pharmacists in the back are incompetent at best with the woman pharmacist a hysterical quack with the bed-side manor of a shrill cockatoo... You'll need some Excedrin after trying to deal with these clowns Rx strength... Yay!

Reviewing the pharmacy: Don’t go here unless you have no other choice. There is ALWAYS a line here - I’ve seen it as long as 10 people deep. Want to call and talk to a human? Don’t bother. I have never, ever been able to get someone on the phone. I am on hold right now - there has been “one caller ahead of me” for 15 minutes. I am a lifetime Walgreens loyalist and this place makes me want to switch to CVS.

Wide selection, well lit, customer friendly. I had an issue with my reward points once and they worked it out quickly. I like the pharmacy even though there's usually a wait. I've gone in there for my travel shots - it beats trying to schedule in to see my doctor. NO appointments needed just queue up.I also like the late hours it's opened as often I don't travel into the city until late. West Portal is convenient right off 280 and parking lot up the street.

Horrible service. Made a same-day delivery for my sick toddler, it got accepted – waited until the delivery window closed, called the store. They said it can't be delivered and they don't offer same day service, it will be delivered only on Tuesday. What?? Why is the option on your website then, and it took my time and money? Anyway, I ask them to cancel, go the pharmacy myself in the evening to get help for my child, and have to spend even more time looking for the items I selected online before. Later, after I put her to sleep I check my order status to make sure I got refunded, and it's still in progress. So I have to spend even more time on the phone with them. Ugh. Horrible, horrible service. People like this should not be selling medicine.

Do not go there. They don't answer phones (staff told me they ignore the phone), was on phone one hour and 59 minutes before hung up with no answer.The Pharmacist denied the prescription. She said it was approved by Doctor and approved by the insurance company but she the pharmacists felt it was unnecessary. After arguing for a few moments she told to go to CVS.Avoid this place and their long lines, pick a different store.

How can a pharmacy almost always have a long line, be too busy to answer the phone, and take days to process refills called in on time. This is perhaps the worst service in a pharmacy and that’s really saying something

If you have an appointment for any vaccination at the 200 West Portal location, do not let the pharmacist give your appointment to the person who’s ahead of you. You may have to wait up to 30 minutes if the store has to go pick up vaccine supplies from a DIFFERENT location. The pharmacists were somewhat nice.

Great drugstore centered in the West Portal neighborhood. From the manager to the staff you won't find a better group of San Francisco neighbors happy to help you. All it could cost you is a smile. I really like the pharmacy staff. I've filled our prescriptions with them for years. They'll always go the extra mile for you.

Some of the employees at this store are really rude. The manager is an awful person & she is also a moron. I would avoid this particular Walgreens like the plague. Eazy Freezy is just a few blocks away & I would much rather give my money to a local small business than a huge chain anyways.

Not my most favorite Walgreens in the area, but it does what it's supposed to do. I liked that there was an Odwalla juice endcap and I was able to get some snacks while I waited for another store to open.

This is a convenient location to find a little bit of many things in one stop. Not the best prices, but the convenience and relatively easy parking are big draws.
