Loved this place! Stopped in after walking around the bay. Kept it simple with a grilled cheese and a glass of wine. The blend of cheese was superb, and the California wine was superb. Lovely views of the bay, definitely a relaxing experience. Staff was friendly, and I loved the cheese shop inside the restaurant! Wish I could’ve taken some for the road (I don’t think the cheese would have made the cross country flight home). Highly recommend for any cheese lover looking to relax.

Loved it! As cheese lovers this place was perfect for us to stop and have a snack, no processed cheese like products here, all very well made products. The employees were absolutely amazing and they were very knowledgeable about the items available.

Friendly and welcoming! I loved how they greeted us and gave us great recommendations based on what we typically drink. We ordered a cider and a sparkling rose which we both enjoyed as we walked around Ghiradelli Square. They were kind enough to even say if we didn't enjoy either that they would find us something else! I would love to come back and try their cheese and charcuterie next time I'm in the area.

Unfortunately I didn't get their names, but the gentlemen in store were very helpful and welcoming. The cheeses we ordered on our cheese/charcuterie board were delicious. I even tried a sip of wine but sadly I'm not the best with that review since I'm not big on wines. But the recommended cheeses were on point with their descriptions. Thank you for a great experience and service.

Enjoyed this charcuterie tray with w/wine pairing. The cheeses were flavorful and creamy, but not over-powering. Their homemade raspberry jam is delicious btw! But I do wish there was more meat is all. I still give this place 5 stars since it tastes better than many other more expensive trays in the area. If you like charcuterie trays, definitely give this place a try!!!

I highly recommend getting their meat & cheese board! I was hesitant to order it at first, simply because I was skeptical that it would be enough for for the price. However, it did not disappoint! The accompaniments were paired very well, it was all quite tasty. Their grilled cheese was also very flavorful, especially with the tomato soup on the side. The only thing we didn't like as much was that we couldn't get much info out of our cashier while we were trying to order - we wanted to know the portion sizes of a few items, but we weren't given any helpful answers. She also made it seem like the meet & cheese board would be smaller, and that the sandwich would be much bigger. So that wasn't really true. Overall though, the food was great and the staff was very friendly!

Amazing little cheese spot to pick up a picnic, have a cheesy bite, or take a class. Loved their wine selection and incredible cheeses! I must take a Summer School class, only $30 for 1 hour lesson and tasting with wine. So excited!!

Now that they are settled into their new location the team is great! I did a wine and cheese pairing focused on the west coast this summer and was so happy with my experience! Fun class, interesting and useful information! :) Def check these folks out!

Great selection of food, cheese, and wine. Extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful staff. Not sure which cheese to get? Someone will be happy to help you decide, including giving samples of the many varieties on hand to help you make your decision. There's a restroom for customers inside, but it's a small, one person at a time space. Seating inside is sightly limited, but there's plenty of room in the square out front. If you get a seat inside, the view is pretty darn good, sitting above the street, looking out towards the water.I did not attend one of their specially cheese aficionado classes, just bought some cheese and bread, but would definitely consider it, given the range of topics they had listed over the next month or so!Did I mention their great staff? They have awesome staff on hand!

My onion soup had so little cheese. For the price they are charging, I was hoping for a bigger ball with lots of cheese. The pork sandwich was very good but naked. Once again, for the price it could have a small side. The service was nice but the items are so overpriced.

I had the cheese tray which was incredibly well-balanced. it had three kinds of cheeses one hard one medium and one soft. It also had some other nice pieces of baguette and some dried fruit and other things which balanced out extremely well and paired nicely with the red wine I chose.there's also a classroom upstairs to take classes related to cheese. In addition, the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful.

European style bistro and deli which sells all kinds of cheese, hams, prosciuttos, salami and more and more delicacies. They also serve few dishes and soups. My tomato soup with garlic and parmiggiano reggiano was very tasty.Inside decorations are very nice and I really felt more like back home in Europe than in America.Staff is very polite and kind.Just prices are a quite high but it’s worth it to pay for such a good food! :)

"Say Cheese" - we had the French onion soup, the daily cheese board, & red wine. Everything was delicious, the service was personable, & the view was stunning.

Best kept secret in Ghirardelli Square. Crowds outside, fantastic view from the inside. I loved the corn nuts added to the cheese board. Nice touch.

Service was great and they were extremely helpful! Charcuterie plate is delicious as is the bubbly but a little on the pricier side for what you get.

I've been there for the first private dinner they hosted. This was a magical experience. One cheese is arranged in three different plates (appetizer, main course and dessert), and it is matched with wine. It was so good! The chief and the owner were talking about the cheese, the recipe and the wine before each part of the meal. It was totally worth it and I highly recommend this whole experience.

I have a newfound love for cheese after attending a cheese making class with Louella the Milk Maid and The Cheese School of San Francisco. It was hosted at Stable. Louella is a great teacher, and all the Cheeses School staff also know all you could possibly want to know about cheese. Cheese making is not as complicated as I expected. It's mostly about temperature and timing. I would definitely try to make some at home after this great class. What a fun experience!

I was interested in this place as soon as I seen it. My husband and I took 2 family members here. 3 of us ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and 1 ordered the Mac and cheese. The tomato soup wasn’t bad but honestly we weren’t big fans of the grilled cheese or Mac and cheese. I felt like I could have made way better at home. I love small portions of food but we didn’t feel like the price matched the food. I would go back to drink wine and eat cheese but I wouldn’t order any cooked food again.

If you're a cheese lover like me, there's nowhere better to learn about cheese. The class we took part in was extremely informative and tasty. The cheeses were great quality and extremely tasty. They sell all of the cheeses in the shop as well as a whole host of other cheeses from around the world. One of the best things about this place is that you can really feel the love they have for cheese and it shines through in everything they do, from their presentation, to the sheer amount of knowledge they have and the enthusiasm you're met with if you ask a question.

Very small menu with a Cafe style of ordering. The food only took 10 min to arrive at the table and I was pleased with my macaroni but not overly impressed. The bowl was very hot to the touch and kept my food warm during my conversation with friends at the tables in the beautiful sunroom area of the restaurant. The water supplied was warm and didn't taste good at all.

A nice compliment to Ghiradelli Square offering a wide selection of wines, cheese and other fine foods. My family and I visited the store around 2pm so it was a little slow and pretty empty but still plenty of visitors touring the shop. We ordered a charcuterie plate with a bottle of complimenting vino.Service at the counter where orders were placed was just okay. The staff wasn't very friendly and seemed uninterested in anything outside of taking orders. The staff that brought our food to our seats were very friendly. The food was wonderful as was the wine. We had an awesome view of the square and could easily loose track of time with the tasty foods, complimenting wine and spectacular view of the bustling square below.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the cheese school. We had hands on experience with making ricotta and mozzarella cheese. The instructor was very good at explaining the history of cheese and the science of making it. It's a great place to take a group or just a date.

I love CHEESE and went to the Cheese School of SF for a Mozzarella, Burrata & Ricotta Cheesemaking event on a warm sunny day. What a wonderful learning and foodie experience!Louella the Milk Maid was super knowledgeable about cheese and a great instructor. The class began with refreshments, charcuterie and cheese at the outdoor space in front of a big fireplace under a lemon tree. The class was filled with interesting facts and we all got hands-on experience making cheese at our team stations. My favorite was the freshly made ricotta...so deliciously light and creamy.I highly recommend this! This place is great for a fun team event. Friendly & helpful staff! Thank you Google City Experts for hosting this exclusive event!

While we didn't do the cheese-tasting masterclass bit (which is inside and you are introduced to the cheese before tasting it) we ate the cheese from the class outside in their courtyard on a beautiful late summer day. It was really a great way to just chill and enjoy the cheeses on offer in a really relaxed setting. I wonder if they do wine pairing?

I have taken about 5 classes from the SF cheese school, and its always a fun time. I have learned quite a bit about cheese and wine, though really I go just to enjoy new cheeses and have some wine/beer with my friends. The classes I've enjoyed the most are: The Cheese Showdown (CA vs WS), Cheeses of France, & Cheese + Beer. If you are looking for a fun & different night out, you will enjoy this school. Be sure to book early as the classes fill up fast!

Recently went here for a private cheese making class and it was a blast! Louella explained everything in a manner that both novice & experts could understand. All of her staff is extremely knowledgeable & happy to let you pick their brain. I'd highly suggest signing up for one of her beginning classes if you are looking for a unique activity for a date.

Wowee - this place is awesome! I went here for their cheese happy hour which is on Wednesdays and for $20 you get unlimited trips to the cheese bar (which included roasted veggies, meats, salad, etc) and a drink. The venue itself was adorable with lights strung from wall to wall. It was a great place to go to catch up with friends or go on a date. Next time, I want to try one of their cheese-making classes! The burratta one has my name on it!
