This place is incredible. Super affordable, quick service, text updates. The staff is very sweet.Oh my goodness look at how beautiful she turned out. My dog came out feeling like a princess. She was soft, clean, smelled amazing, and was the Happiest girl in the world.Shhhheeeessss sooooo fluffffyyyyyyy!!!!!

My senior German Shepherd Honey has been going here for about 18 months, for bath/dry and nail trims. I think my experience and Honeys have been excellent.Communication is great, space is clean and calm, the prices seem more than fair for the amount of labor involved.Honey is on the nervous side but when I pick her up she does not seem freaked out - she's clean, her nails are trimmed but not bleeding, etc. They mention she can't stand the entire time so they have to get creative at times but everybody seems copacetic with the situation.There's a bad review that mentions that they informed a customer they were taking care of another dog with fleas. To me, a place that really likes dogs and wants to help them would of course take a dog being menaced by fleas and help them. You never know if the owner is able to do the care themselves, some must rely on services like this. This to me is a good sign, not a bad sign.

My pup Maple panics every time she gets a hair cut but the groomers at scissor me whiskers are always so sweet and calm with her. They hold her and give her plenty of pets to calm her down. When I pick her up her coat is super soft and the cut is perfect for her breed

They do such a good job on my pupper ruby. She loves it there and she always comes back with this cute bow and a amazing smell. She also gets her nails clipped so we dont have to worry about her fighting with us.

Besides scoring an 11 out of 10 for the outstanding full-service groom my dog received (and believe me, I have the highest standards..my husband says i am AAA, not type A!), I would like to share a little bit more about the service we received today, which really sets this place apart from any other.When I called in to schedule my appointment, I briefly shared with the receptionist that I was visiting from Manhattan Beach in southern Ca, as my 93 yr old father was currently in the hospital, and I expected to extend my already unexpected 3 week stay, another few more weeks! She graciously made room for me to bring my mini poodle in, on a Sunday nonetheless!Not only was I greeted by the receptionist, Kennedy (Louie's groomer), hand delivered Louie to me from her arms. The warmth and sensitivity in which she treated Louie was was only outdone by Kennedy's heartwarming thoughtfulness in presenting me with simply the most beautiful bouquet of flowers/flower arrangement, for my father. She wanted me to pass along her well wishes to my father in hopes for a most speedy recovery and to let him know that many others were thinking about him too! My dad cried when I conveyed the message to him.ABOVE AND BEYOND, in so many ways!!Thank you Kennedy, you are a sweetheart in spades

Trust is the name of the game when handing your bundle of joy over to strangers. This company is amazing and skilled at taking super care of my girl, Mac. Dogs tell you when somethings not quite right. Never happens here and the groomers are excellent.

I used to go to the outer Richmond location which closed recently so trying this location. They did a nice job on my pup. It’s a bit pricey but beauty isn’t cheap! Dawnielle and her team are very nice.

I took my dogs here for the 1st time back in oct/nov 2023 last year. Unfortunately i did not have a good experience soon after getting my dogs back from this place. My dogs have experienced skin infections with bug bites but could not find any bugs at all, itching, rashes and skin swelling since then. Im still dealing with it to this date.. its now Jan 2024... It has costed me too much time and money and heartache...i dont think the fault lies with the groomers or store as pet owners should be more considerate about bringing their dogs in for grooming if they have fleas or something. Otherwise its just blatantly Irresponsible selfish and inconsiderate pet owners that end up hurting others indirectly.And a suggestion for the grooming store is that the store has soooo much empty space in the back, the grooming area and holding area could be expanded a little more for space and safety between pets...In response to the owner's comment below: when i had come in, I heard the other groomer state that the current dog they had been washing in there was FULLL of FLEAS. So that is why i said what i said. You can deny all you like but i did Not hear wrong because i was right there by the door waiting with my dogs.

Would absolutely recommend taking your dog here! We just moved from DC and had specific instructions for how our old groomer used to trim up our pup and the groomer took lots of notes and did a really good job trying to match it. Our dog gets anxious with the blow dryer, and they were really accommodating (having to dry him on the floor). Overall our pup looks cute as can be and seemed to have a great time in their puppy play area.

Terrible customer service. Had been here many times but never again. They rescheduled my appointment from a weekday to a Saturday when they were busy. My dog has long hair and some mats but, on their recommendation, I started booking 2 month intervals. Dropped the pup off, no issues. Got a call after I got home. They “don’t have time” to deal. I paid these people $200 each time. Went downhill since Danielle left.

BudE hates anyone to touch his 🐾 paws, forget about clipping his nails! Then he remembers places where he’s had his mani pedi and will not go in, but the groomers at SMW are phenomenal and quick!I barely walked to the front of the store and they were done!!!He came out again with a bounce in his step and I swear that he was smiling, strutting out of the grooming room. Then it was my turn at Polish a block away.

Coming on here to say a huge THANK YOU to the groomer Catherine!!! My pup does not like getting her nails trimmed (that's an understatement) but Catherine miraculously got her nails trimmed with relatively little fuss and also did it so quick. She totally minimized the stress of the experience. She was very courteous. Thank you Catherine! We'll definitely be coming back here. P.S. there's also a ton of cute dog outerwear in the store :)

I recently brought my dog to Scissor Me Whiskers to have her glands expressed, and I must say I had a disappointing experience. I specifically chose this place because it was convenient and had decent reviews, but unfortunately, my visit left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.Upon arrival, I explained to the staff that I wanted my dog's glands to be expressed. They assured me that they would take care of it, so I trusted their expertise. However, after a mere two minutes, my dog was brought out, and I asked if her glands were completely emptied. The groomer confidently assured me that they were indeed fully expressed.The next day, I ended up taking my dog to the vet for an unrelated matter. During the examination, the vet informed me that my dog's glands were extremely full. I was taken aback and mentioned that I had just had them expressed at Scissor Me Whiskers the day before. The vet then asked me to feel the glands for myself, and it was evident that they were still full. I couldn't help but feel frustrated and regret not checking the work done at Scissor Me Whiskers earlier.I decided to contact the store for a refund since their service did not meet my expectations. However, it took them several days to respond after they consulted with the owner. This delay in addressing my concerns only added to my disappointment. When they finally got back to me, they outright refused to provide a refund and displayed a rude attitude throughout our interaction.While I understand that there can be differences between having glands expressed at a groomer versus a vet, I expected Scissor Me Whiskers to uphold their claims and be honest about their services. Sadly, they not only failed to properly perform the procedure, but they also deceived me by claiming that it was done when it clearly wasn't. They refused to issue a refund for their poor service.Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Scissor Me Whiskers to fellow pet owners. They provided subpar customer service, failed to hold themselves accountable for their mistakes, and were unhelpful when confronted with the issue. I encourage you to seek out a different establishment that provides better customer service and takes responsibility when things go wrong.If you choose to use their service remember that they will not hold themselves accountable or try to make it right with the costumer.

Based on the recommendation of a neighbor, I took my dog to Scissor Me Whiskers. They have an unassuming space from the outside but they have a wonderful grooming salon inside. My dog, Gigi, is not exactly the type of dog that is calm and still in these situations. However, these pros managed to bathe and shave my puppers beautifully. Friendly, understanding staff is a HUGE plus! Reasonable rates as well. I definitely recommend their services and will return in the future.

I used to have positive experiences with this groomer in the past, but my recent visit was incredibly disappointing. The quality of service has significantly declined. My pet's hair cut was uneven and messy, with noticeable spots left untrimmed. It's clear that attention to detail was lacking, and I'm quite disappointed with the outcome. Additionally, the groomer has made the experience very inconvenient by requiring me to come back another day if I want dematting services. This change has made the whole process much less user-friendly. Given the drop in quality and the inconvenience, I've made the decision that I won't be using this groomer anymore. I hope they can take this feedback to heart and work towards improving their services.

The best grooming experience we’ve ever had! They did such an incredible job on my very overgrown mini goldendoodle and she had a great time there she was even excited to go back, which speaks to how they treat and care for the dogs.

Can't say enough great things about this groomer! Both our dogs came back looking beautiful and so happy. One of our dogs struggles with anxiety and she was pretty calm upon pick-up which was a huge relief. They really seemed to take care of both of our fur babies.

Great service and practical online appointments. It’s easy to find bath appointments and do add ons for any extra service you may need.Finding parking is not easy, specially on the weekend so I recommend arriving earlier so you can park.Staff is very friendly and Luna looks amazing after her visit. They also have treats and all kinds of accessories.

We've been to a couple of other groomers numerous successive times, but Scissor Me Whiskers have been the ones who seem to have listened and made us feel most comfortable. We even fostered kittens from one of their adoption days on Sundays! Truly caring people here.

They seem to handle my young, nervous pup with care. They finish the bath, nail trim and paw trim service in about an 1hr -1.5 hr. He comes out smelling clean and we have had no issues. Appreciate the online scheduling system that makes it easy to schedule/reschedule as well.

I live in the neighborhood and so glad I found them 2 blocks away. This was my first time there, and they did a great job, exactly how I requested. They’re friendly and very sweet to my little doggie Khaleesi. They’re personable, I like that it’s small not like the big names places that feels like being in a factory, I also liked that they didn’t put my rescue dog in a cage which will really stress her out since she’s from a puppy mill. Love that they put a bow on her collar and I noticed a heart shape cut out on her chest, don’t know if it was on purpose but I love it, thank you. I’m very happy with them and definitely will recommend.

The owner Danielle is wonderful, my dog just adores her. She cares and takes her time and doesn't rush through carelessly. I would recommend scissor me whiskers to anyone, difficult dogs to the most mellow as well as those with anxiety she can handle them. Thank you Danielle and scissor me whiskers.
