We took our cat , Leeloo for her routine health check and vaccines and we were impressed by staff how they were caring our cat during the visit and efficiently educated us about vaccine and overall cat health . We were initially quite nervous given this was our first vet visit and were worried our cat will not do well when she gets vaccines . However, she stayed calm throughoutI can definitely recommend this place to the pet owners who want to bring them for routine check up !

It was easy to make an appointment. The cost was reasonable. The vet was caring and did a good job. Most importantly, my dog was not afraid like at his other vet. The place was clean. They understand if your dog pees in the waiting area.

The staff at The SPCA is very knowledgeable and warm along with friendly. The reception staff is warm, but professional and the fees minimal. There is parking in the area and the wait for services is short. They are warm and gentle when treating the animals.

Took great care of my cat and his shots. Gave expert advice to facilitate moving our cat to a new house. Our cat is settling in well thanks to their advice 😊 10/10 recommend this place. All staff was extremely helpful and sweet.

It was great. The staff was very polite. No one looked down their nose at me. Even the security guy was exceptionally nice. ( No offense to anyone working as a security specialist, but I get stereotyped a lot due to the stains on my skin. ) The best part, besides the compitent nurse who gave my puppy her shots with out hurting my pup, was that the fee given to me on the phone, was the actual fee when I got there. Unlike the place on 2nd Street. Near South Park.Final words, these people rock.

Let's be honest and don't lie .. keep your comments loyal.. it's ok it's close to my house staff is ok.. parking is terrible. Honestly there is no discount for being united with SPCA very expensive no discount wow shots are expensive medicine is high no payment plan.. It would be nice to set up payment plans for low-income families and folk. Offer help to those that can't really afford medication shots.. I know that there is vets on wheels that don't charge ..but sometimes you can't wait for that vet bus. All dogs cats are someone's friend pet don't just do it for the money do it for that person pet.so many people struggle with taking there pets to the vet .. need more love in that place it's cold when you walk in there is no color dull walls .. make it live put color in make customers feel at home when they bring there pets

The low reviews are very strange. The website is very clear that this clinic is ONLY for receiving vaccinations, flea medicine, and basic care for minor illnesses. You can also schedule your spay/neuter appointment here but the actual surgery will be performed at the main hospital on Alabama Street.I took my kitten here to receive all of his shots and FIV/FeLV test. They were only $20-25 each. Because of my income I qualified for a subsidized cost for my neuter appointment, it was only $75. The hours here are limited but this is a god-send for those of us living in the outskirts of the city and have lower income. Extremely limited street parking but the 14-Mission bus stops right by the clinic.

Only open a couple days a week. The staff out front were great. The vet herself made general pronouncements about all dogs in the SF, for instance that all dogs here have fleas, which I really think isn't correct. She was blaming, off-putting, and seemed disconnected from reality.This is definitely not a lower cost clinic for people on a budget. SPCA is not about helping pet owners keep their pets healthy anymore, it's just big business, so not a good place to send a donation anytime.

I tried many times to contact the vet to ask about services offered and I was never able to get through. This meant that I went in for my appointment only to find they dont offer the service I need at this clinic. Yes it's in the T&Cs of an email, no it was not clear enough. The check in desk shamed me for not reading their site thoroughly enough and taking another dogs appointment time. Shame on them, we're all doing our best. It was an unnecessary and unfortunate experience. They should get their phone contact system in order. It's not realistic to expect the public to know the ins and outs of offerings if you don't answer the phone.

We took our dog to get her routine shots. Staff was kind, patient and knowledgeable. Our dog was very agitated but the staff person giving her the shots wasn’t rushed and worked with us to calm her down.
