Tomo is such a sweet lady! I believe she's the only one that works there but she was so gentle and quick with my kitty. We were in and out in like 5 minutes! I called in advance to book an appointment because she doesn't allow walk-ins. It's cash only and feline trimming was only $20. My kitty is 3 years old and squirms so much and flees when I try to trim her nails. I've tried to get her into a burrito but she frees herself and runs away. It's been a struggle. Tomo told me to hold my kitty and caress her head while Tomo trimmed her nails. I was so surprised about how quick and easy it was! I'm so glad I found this local grooming spot. I recommend everyone with pets who need grooming needs to visit here!

Our Chihuahua Russet prefers this groomer over all the others we've tried in San Francisco! He always comes back super clean, smelling fresh, with perfectly clipped nails. Further, he seems fairly happy when returned to us (as happy as a pup could be after the groomers!) which is in stark contrast to other Groomers we've visited.Getting an appointment is fairly easy, with there being availability typically within a week or two. Hours are a bit limited (wish the stayed open a couple hours later, especially on Fridays), but not a major complaint!The location is really nice as well. There's plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shopping to peruse as you wait for your pet to be groomed! For pre-grooming, it's nice to take Russ to the Duboce Dog Park nearby to get some energy out of him!

Took my cat to get his nails clipped. Like many cats, he hates getting his nails clipped and I am unable to do it myself. We were in and out in 10 minutes. She did a great job. I will definitely be taking my kitty here from now on.

Omg. The sweetest of all dog groomers. I take my dog and my roommates as well. One is very scared of having her nails cut and the owner is so sweet and gentle. I cannot recommend more. Except that I might not be able to get day of appts for nail trimming!

Tomo is really the best. She is so patient and caring with my dog. I've been going to her for years and I don't think I'll ever change. My pug hates nail trims, tomo worked with me to calm him and figure out a way to make it easier for us all. Love her!

Tomo is the best! I honestly can't say enough good things about her. She is the only person we've trusted to groom our now *17* year old dachshund. She always lets us know what she is doing and why, and will take care of your pup as if it was her own. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I can always trust Tomo with my dog. It is cash only the only inconveient thing but they're pretty flexible with dropoff pickup time and they don't crate your dog during the wait time. It works for me and my dog.I've been to many groomers in SF and sometimes the shops lack human touch - it's convenient for owners but stressful dogs but this feels more local and personal

I took in my very skiddish 8 month old kitten Oz who refuses to get his claws trimmed and she had me in and out so fast. It was magic. Will definitely come back - Highly recommend!

I was thrilled to get a text from our much loved groomer, Tomo, that she had found a new location after shutting down near the beginning of the pandemic. Tomo is amazing. My pup Princess Lucy’s hair is always meticulous in Tomo’s skilled hands. After she closed we tried a number of other groomers, but really, there isn’t a single one who does such an excellent job. She’s a bit expensive, but in the end, rents are high, my anxious little pup isn’t scared with Tomo, and you get what you pay for so it’s worth the extra expense. I could not recommend her more!

Tomo always took such good care of my 16 yo Keke's nails, which was difficult because arthritis had deformed her paws. She was gentle and patient, trimming them well and always careful in her handling. Every time Keke was at her vet, I'd have the vet check Keke's nails, and the comment was that they were trimmed as short as possible while still comfortable and kind to Keke.

Tomo was great helping trim my scared cat's claws!My cat is 10 months old and HATES his claws getting trimmed. My wife and I have been trying to trim his claws for months, without success.He was deathly scared, trying to run away, but Tomo was able to get his claws trimmed.Thank you, Tomo!PS, my cat is ignoring me now, but when he finally comes around his nails won't draw blood anymore.

Tomo is a godsend! She's beyond patient and understanding with my drama queen of a pug. He HATES having his nails trimmed and will do anything to convince you that he's absolutely going to die if you try.

Found this place today and what a treasure it is. Called and asked if the owner could groom my chihuahua, Penny's, nails. She said no problem. Disclaimer: My dog is a little fiesty when it comes to nail grooming. Dropped Penny off at 305pm. Went to buy a plant at The Cove, fabulous plant store, two doors down and as soon as I walked back, which took only 6 mins total, Penny was done. Penny wasn't fiesty with her. The owner must be a dog whisperer or have some calming techniques. Plus it only cost 20.00. score. The most fabulous part of finding our pet groomer is the look on Penny's face. She was smiling because it felt good to prance again. Thank you thank you thank you. Customer for life.

Affordable pet grooming in the middle of the Castro? I could believe the great pricing and they do an excellent job. The even send you away with a doggy biscuit care package. Definitely on my monthly schedule with KayKay.

I made an appointment for 10:30am on a Tuesday. Shop was locked and nobody there when I arrived at 10:35am. Shop says it opens at 10am on the door and to call the number. I called and no answer. I waited until 11:30am at the cafe on the corner. Nobody ever came in. I got no phone call, email, or anything warning me. I feel disrespected by the no-show.
