This Safeway located on Mission Street has a good collection of products and priced decently. Loved the fruits and vegetables they have. Locality is fine and contrary to the other reviews, I found the customer service quite good and smooth. The quality of products is good too

They did a remodel of this store and they did a nice job. Friendly staff and very clean store. Highly recommend you take a visit to this Safeway. Very impressed!😀

Security and staff and will follow you through the store if you are black. Even when one of us was elderly and had a cane! Never experienced that at other Safeways in more affluent areas nor Whole Foods. I refuse to shop at this location again.

I was here on Friday around 2 pm and the line in the deli for hot food was gigantic, I counted 21 people.The poor deli ladies looked exhausted, and we're still nice and patient.The other strange thing was the self-checkout: I was next in line, and the attendant, an elderly gentleman told me to step aside and took the person behind me to the open register.The store otherwise is clean and organized. Seems like Friday lunchtime is not the best time to shop here.

This store is always crowed and not all but most of the staffs are cool and helpful. The security guard out there they are awesome. There is a parking side to the store.

This store located at 1950 Mission is a total mess. Rude employees, and customer service is a joke, if they ever answer the phone. Homeless throwing up by the entrance and sleeping in the back of the building. The store trash cans are always overflowing. I called the assistant store manager and he definitely doesn’t have any management skills. Check it out for yourself and you’ll see.

This location is a PITA. Everything is locked away, and it takes ages for someone to show up and assist you. Then you have to wait for your stuff to show up at a register because the one person doing it is still out there assisting others.

Decent place to shop if you go there on off hours like before 9am anything after that there are lines on the few registers they have open. Dont mind the street vendors, but there are homeless people in front most of the time.

Every time I go to this place Safeway they never have parking space I had to hunt for the parking space for at least five to 10 minutes and when you're in the checkout the people don't really interact with you they're too busy talking to each other I only go there in emergencies to get one or two items I normally go to Lucky's at Daly City.

This particular Safeway is located in an area where there are many Latino, Chinese and black people, so minorities. They never have the cashiers full, most of the time you have 2, probably 3 people working there. Having to make a line like this at any day of the time is unbelievable. I have been at other Safeway locations and this does not happen in richer areas, even though A LOT of people shop here too. Thoughts ?

One of my favorite grocery stores. The fruits & vegetables are always being worked so they're fresh for us, as often as possible. The meat always looks good. The aisles are swept, cleaned and faced with regularity, so they always look full. And the deli really can make a helluva good sandwich.These are just a few of the reasons I keep coming back here.

Good selection of groceries. However, they seem to be implementing something where you have to scan a receipt to exit the store. Between that, the exorbitant prices, and the fact that half the products are in locked cabinets, the store feels downright hostile now. I'll probably switch do doing my shopping at the other stores in the neighborhood.

Only safe way where you have to scan your receipts, liquor and wine are locked and bathroom are always closed. Located on a racially diverse area. Seems very discriminatory.

There is something going on with how this Safeway is storing their milk. 3 times I have purchased a gallon of milk here that spoils 10 days before the expiration date. I tried the organic version and the cheaper version, same result. My refrigerator is brand new and ice COLD, so it’s not on my end. Essentially can’t go here anymore.4-18-23 edit : Went back and gave them a try again. Still a fail. Have you ever seen a grocery store sell expiring milk for 25 percent off? Go here. Literally crack it open in the parking lot and the milk is already spoiled. Time for the health department to get involved!

conveniently located, but doesn't carry things other Safeways do. I have also been to the Westlake, Daly City, Safeway and they do not carry as big an assortment of chocolate milk as this one does.

Long lines 45+ minute wait to check out. See picture: this line goes all the way back to the end of the store. Two lanes open during peak hours and both extend to the back of the building.

Decent grocery store. Has all essentials, fresh fruit, and a deli. Parking can be a nuisance to find and all manner of people are in front and in the store. Watched some young kids roll out the side emergency door with a cart of goods and the guards and employees were like "okay." But I get that .. anyways..

Very high crime DAILY . There was a shooting this evening at this store . It is robbed daily with employees assaulted. Why hasn't Safeway management provided a more robust security team to keep employees safe . Store should close early at 8pm until they have this under control . NO TOLERANCE . Need to speak to the city about more police patrol in this neighborhood

Excellent sales today. Quick check out. Everyone must have known about the sales because parking lot was full. But spaces would open up in a timely manner. All shelves were well stocked with good variety to chose from.

Always crowded and homeless harassing you for change. . This location doesn't even have shopping carts the theft is so high here. The liquor aisle looks like books at the library how it's set up and locked up

Recently renovated and they recently added the self checkout lane. Keep in mind the lines here get pretty bad. Parking isn't bad here either. There's a rather large parking lot and if you're ever hungry try the superstar right across the street!

Its a nice Safeway, definitely nicer then the ones downtown. Had a flawless time shopping except once when the security gard was hastling me about my backpack, which was completely empty and I had just got done at the register, receipt in hand for paying for my groceries. This was a couple weeks back, since then it's been good, no interruptions or steriotipical behavior from the security.

Plenty of parking. Self check out and a huge selection of products recently added. The store is improving the layout for convenience.
