Our pups haircut was rushed and had some bad lines of hair on the back of her head. I had to trim her myself. For $120 I shouldn’t have to do that. I was asked if her visor hair could be cut off and I said yes. She still has it. Aside from that everything else was good.

It seemed to be all really good except for the fact that Rocky had a cut on his paw that looked pretty bad and his hair was extremely uneven. When we got him home I had to clip all the spots that were really uneven. I think with a little more comfort to Rocky he would have been calm enough for them to not cut him and to make his cut even. I think Rocky can be difficult but with reassurance he can be extremely manageable. He just likes to be called a good boy.i also would like to have a little more warmth when they are doing the intake process. It felt more like I was being judged than dropping my dog off to be groomed. The woman I use to take him to was a little more expensive but she was always warm, inviting, and comforting to Rocky and that goes a long ways.

AVOID THIS GROOMING SALON or at least Capriesha and her terrible customer service.I just moved to SF, but have been going to Petco for my dog’s grooming for over a year. It has always been a good experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case this time.Capriesha T was incredibly rude and demeaning. We arrived five minutes late to the appointment (I tried calling to let them know, but no answer) and waited five minutes once arriving for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. After waiting, Capriesha stuck her head out the door, didn’t greet us at all, and asked what I wanted. I gave her my dog’s name, told her we had an appointment but were running late due to rain/traffic and immediately apologized for any inconvenience.The first thing she said was “You’re late. What do you even want to do? What kind of dog is it? We don’t do dogs like yours” and continued to be rude, questioning and treating me like I was stupid for bringing my dog to a salon I’ve seen groom literally every type of dog (for reference she’s dachshund/shepard/mix).Capriesha asking what I wanted continued on, despite me stating several times that my dog is a regular customer and “what I want” is exactly what I booked the appointment for.. and that she can check my dogs chart to see previous groomer’s notes if she was still confused. At this point a line was forming behind us, so Capriesha stated she would go get someone to take care of the line while she “dealt with us”. The other customers were watching this all play out, and several of them mentioned that the customer service here was absolutely awful and one even said she had already spoken to the manager earlier that day about it.Capriesha returned, this time with another employee and my dog’s grooming history, and she STILL continued to make comments regarding her confusion on me bringing my dog here. I was now getting frustrated. Capriesha then goes “this is becoming too much to deal with” and threatened that she would be rescheduling the appointment. At this point, I was livid. I told her to cancel the appointment completely, and that I would never be returning. I’m still shocked by this interaction and very disappointed that I wasted my time.@Capriesha and Petco management, don’t work or hire for positions that require you to interact with people and have good customer service when it’s clearly lacking. Period.Also Capriesha, as someone who is supposedly a certified groomer, shouldn’t you of all people know that every dog regardless of their breed benefit from professional grooming? Smh. Don’t trust this lady with your dog, you guys.

Domonique, Naomi, and Tiffany are ALL always very sweet, attentive, and caring towards my pup Jackson. He loves coming to visit the salon (after crying about me leaving him for a bit) and looks his best every time. I know if one of them are caring for my boy, he’ll be in good hands. These ladies deserve to be appreciated for their outstanding efforts!

I want to start by saying Carmen is the sweetest person. She’s so polite gentle when i dropped off Cinnamon. I told her that Cinnamon was a little nervous, and Carmen assured me that she would take it slow with Cinnamon. Thank you for having such an amazing worker. I hope you share this feedback with her.

The vet was very unprofessional. She couldn't trim my dog's nails or brush his teeth. She didn't know how to calm my dog down. If she is a veterinarian, she should know how to get a dog to trust her and let her have his nails trimmed and her teeth brushed. She gave us the bill to pay for the fact that she could not complete the service. We were very dissatisfied and will not return again. This is not the first time. Last time, we went to brush my dog's teeth, and the vet grabbed my dog and disappeared somewhere where we could not see him. In 2 minutes, she brought the dog back, and we checked his teeth. They were in the same condition and had bad breath. We paid for nothing again. Petco has very unprofessional vets. Terrible service!

On October 8th was our set schedule but we were turned away because groomer didn’t show up for work that day. We were promised that we’ll get 50% off due to the inconvenience from being cancelled. Mine you, we weren’t offered a day to come back and I had to schedule on my own. On November 4th (yesterday), things felt rushed and when we got our dog back, just a simple, “Here’s your invoice, go pay” kind of thing.. which is not our usual and didn’t felt personal unlike the other previous visits. When we got home, I noticed that my dog’s one nail on the from right paw was too short that it was very red and the nail wasn’t filed well too and left rugged edges. Really disappointed. Also, didn’t get our discount of 50% off, we didn’t contest it because we just wanted to go home and they didn’t have time to explain. Disappointed this time. May move on to a different groomer.

They took good care of my Rex. He smelled so good after his bath. Nailed were trimmed, teeth brushed well, and ears were clean. I recommend to make an appointment online, and have your vaccine records ready because they do ask for that.

Everyone I met in the store was incredibly nice and helpful. They also clearly love dogs and that’s a huge plus. My groomer was gentle with my older Chihuahua and I really appreciate that. I’m so glad I found you all and I will be coming in again as a loyal customer.

The Petco representative told me that my pup was no longer allowed to be bathed or have his nails clipped at Petco be cause of his age. I’ve been bringing my pup to Petco for years and years. He got puppy training at Petco. It is so wrong and unfair that Petco denies him to get bathed and nail clipping anymore just because he is older. Petco needs to recognize that Chihuahuas live a lot longer than other breeds and to deny him care at some age ranking is unfair and wrong.

Terrible customer service and treatment of dogs. They need to employ people who aren’t condescending and actually have customer service experience. Manager needs to grow a back bone and train or reprimand employees that act out unprofessionally.This lady at the grooming counter escalated a very minute situation into something that was simply unnecessary. I use to work customer service and this lady should never had gotten that job.I had the documents they wanted but she made a whole row about wanting a specific type of documentation that was never requested by petco themselves. She escalated with a lot of bad attitude instead of de-escalating and being calm.Honestly I walked out on them and quite frankly, after that incident I would never bring my dogs to get groomed there again. If I wasn’t even giving any attitude or anything and the groomers are already that “hyped with attitude” imagine what they do to your pets if they “act out” from discomfort.I had previous incidents with petco grooming that I was willing to overlook involving my dogs. But today was the last straw.I got a mobile grooming the same day of this incident. It’s worth the extra $30 for no headache and disrespect.Such a shame, I have spent thousands of dollars (at least 30k) in this petco alone over the years and they lost a customer from terrible customer service

Fast, efficient, and cost-effective. We didn't want anything fancy and our 9-month old pup looks great. She was also totally chill after pickup, which cannot be said about her two previous trips to the fancy boutique groomer down the street. The groomers we met at Petco are sweet and straightforward - not artistes. If you just want a summer clip, this is a great option.

I'm going to say they do a great job on both of my dogs. The groomers are very talented. The lacking fifth star is due to staffing and let me say to the management, they are overworked and understaffed. My dogs are always happy, but the poor groomers, whom I'm sure are great with the dogs, I can see their exhaustion, even at the top of the day.I know they've been staffing up, and I hope that the groomers' work lives become less "hairy". Bring your animals, and Tip well, they deserve it.

Everything was great! My puppy was a little on edge after but it was also her first time. Understandable. But she was back to normal quickly and smelled great! My only disappointment was they didn’t trim her little black claw. I know those are hard to get but it’s really sharp so even just a quick rule would’ve done the trick. Overall, we’d go again and Raven was great!

Lack of freestyle and art. It is their clipper sizes and that is it. Their longest size is incredibly short. My dog had such amazing curls, gone (for now of course). My dog is almost 5 months old and this was his first cut. A great introduction to the doggy grooming world for us both.

This place almost always wastes my time. This is the ONLY place in SF that has live mice. I do my due diligence & call ahead to make sure they’re available, but someone will RANDOMLY make the executive decision to “shut down small animals” due to being understaffed. I call ahead of time to not waste my time & money; I bus all the way out there just for them to still waste my time & money. I come every two weeks & it’s always something. Absolutely ridiculous.

Both previous cuts I had were pretty good, were pretty good, and he was really soft, the only reason why I'm rating 4 stars is because of the whole take everything off, because my dog had a rubber flea collar that stopped working after the first appointment.

Great service and customer service . Scott was very friendly and made my husband and I feel very welcome, my dog Leo (he’s a Siberian husky) looked amazing after the service and happy , since I Had a bad experience at a pet smart (in San Leandro) I decided to try petco and I am very glad we did ! I highly recommend Scott he went above and beyond! We will make this our go to for all our pet’s grooming needs 👍🏽😊

The young lady who Grooms my dog was very knowledgeable. She treated my dog with kindness. That meant a lot to me. When I go back to Petco to get her groomed again I'll be looking for that young lady. I don't think I'll trust anyone else with her.

Petco has always done an excellent job of taking care of Jack when he goes in for grooming. The groomer is always patient, kind and friendly making Jack feel comfortable going with him or her. Jack always comes out well groomed and even cologned!

When I drooped Sweetie off I seen that my dog was comfortable when I handed her to Ang. I was satisfied with her grooming she was cut very well and her coat was as soft as cotton. I will be back. Thank you!!
