The self-service pet wash is gold here. The price went up from $15 to $18 but was worth every penny for a warm wash and blow dry for our furry huskies. On this day, we brought in Maya and Laika. Maya did not enjoy her spa day however Laika loved it.

Friendly staff and useful dogwashing area for when I absolutely positively must get my doggo ultra clean. They also have a mobile vet in the store some (all?) Saturdays which was handy for chipping him when first adopted.

Friendly and helpful staff. The 15min limit on the self service bath station is barely enough for a full blow dry.4/2/23 update: permanently closing at the end of April 2023 due to lease termination, according to the staff

I love this store. Friendly staff, excellent product selection, and an actual parking area in SF. I feel odd about having flats of cat food and litter delivered. It is easy to get my preferred brands here and I haven't had supply issues.

Excellent pet wash facility. One of the best we’ve ever used. Friendly & attentive staff. Multiple types of shampoos, clean, and easy to use tools. $18 out the door, reasonable for the city.Highly recommend and will be returning.

This store is GREAT!! Very friendly and attentive employees. I was walking in with a bag of food to return. I was expecting to have to explain why I was returning the food. Julia quickly approached and took the bag from me to place in the back. No interrogation or even a single question as to why it was returned.Pet Food Express has great employees and policies. It's well worth it to support this brick and mortar instead of saving a dollar or 2 ordering from Amazon!!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great selection and one of the few places in SF that carry my dog's favorite brand of food. Their price match guarantee is nice as well. It is also a plus that they have a parking lot located next to the building. HIghly recommended!

Can't say enough good things about Pet Food Express. Every employee who I have dealt with at Pet Food Express is so incredibly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. My cat is the pickiest eater when it comes to dry food, but first time asking for assistance, they recommended a brand my cat now loves. I even have a fun time going when shopping for my cat. If you love your pet, definitely shop here, this is a company that values good products.

The Dog Wash Station is fantastic! Most importantly, standing to give my boys a bath beats kneeling by or bending over the tub.No messy clean ups.And the staff is super friendly. A few of them know my two dogs by name which makes it a fun place to go for my boys.Bath day is a happy day!

I like the personal. They’re very kind and helpful, most of them are able to give you very good information about the appropriate food for your pet, not trying to push anything on you.There could be more variety but, the brand I use for my dogs (KIWI dog food) they do have it in there and this is enough good selection for me as this is an imported and very healthy brand which I can’t find in other places.

The staff are amazing, enthusiastic, welcoming and engaging. They're also patient with eager indecisive dog companions who want to spoil their dog. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.The only minor bummer is that they can't stock everything for everyone.

The staff is always so helpful. I love that they care a lot about their suppliers. They stopped carrying a cat food brand because they stopped meeting their quality/sourcing standards and helped me pick out a new one. It’s nice to know I could pick out anything and it’d be safe!

My go-to pet shop. Everyone is very sweet, and they have a large selection. Always very helpful at the self wash and willing to help carry bags out to the car. If, for any reason, I go somewhere else, I always feel as though I'm cheating lol. Also, the buy 3, get one free is great! (Only counts for certain items, but awesome for kitty litter/etc.).

As always they have the best customer service!I was in desperate need of dog food, a quality brand that only Pet Food Express carries, and was running late with an ETA 8:02 pm. The store closes as 8:00 pm. I called the store and asked if they could possibly accommodate me. Shout out to employee Denisha for being so nice, staying a little late, and letting me enter after closing.

Great pet store! They have an extensive food selection and tons of high quality chews sorted by type of dog. They don't have many of the brands you're looking for, but if you want specialty or high quality items, you'll find them here.
