The staff was very polite in making an appointment for us to take our dog for a bath. They provided oat shampoo and conditioner as well as treats to keep our dog busy.They have a great variety of treats and toys and the space was immaculate.

Kudos to Maxwell's pet bar. I am visiting the Noe Valley area from San Mateo and noticed Maxwell's. Even before I set foot in the store, a passerby commented, " What a great place for pets". I appreciate any establishment that stokes excitement. I too am impressed by the store. The interior design is thrilling not only for the shopper but the dogs. If i can smell the array of pet food then a dog's senses must be going bonkers. I am happy to know a store like Maxwell's exists. I will recommend it to my coworkers in SF.

Discovering Maxwell's Pet Bar about a year ago has been a game-changer for our 12-year-old dog, Simon. Thanks to Jen and Kristi's expert guidance, we found the perfect raw food combination that has literally turned back the clock for him. He's more playful, enjoys his walks more, and overall, seems much younger. The transformation has been incredible to witness. I can't recommend Maxwell's Pet Bar enough. If you're looking to improve your pet's health and happiness, this is the place to start!

Love Maxwell's Pet Bar! Jen and Kristi were so nice and so helpful. I took my dog there for a self- service wash and they made it super easy, providing anything you would need, plus treats! I highly recommend this spot for your pup!

I took my Australian Shepherd there today for a bath and had a fantastic experience. Jen and Kristi were so helpful — they helped me introduce my pup to the steps to get in the tub; taught me how to use an undercoat rake; and gave tips for introducing the dryer. I got home and raved about the experience. It was by far the best bath experience I've had with our dogs. Jen and Kristi are both knowledgable, friendly, and calm, and it's a pleasure being in the shop.

This place is fantastic!The self-serve dog wash stations are much nicer than others we've tried in the city—calmer environment & nicer products. The owners were very understanding & helpful with our dog (who *hates* baths).They also helped make it a positive experience with praise & treats for our dog after we finished her bath.We’ll be back soon for more snacks 🐕 Glad to have this business in the neighborhood!

This place is great, not just for dogs but for cats too. Our cat needs lots of extra enrichment / variety and we were able to get him a great new puzzle toy and novel food items he enjoys.

Fresh meats and treats for my big healthy labrador retriever. I like the owner Jen who has turned me on to a lot of great products like frozen duck and rabbit. big tubs set up for do it yourself baths. I'm a regular now. great prices too. what more can I ask for?

Found this gem of a place on a whim today and we were so impressed! The owners are attentive and informative, they answered every question we had without hesitation. We did the self dog wash and it was more pricy then we are used too but worth every penny. We will be returning customers. Thank you

As a dog care professional, there aren't many places that go unnoticed when it comes to the "best of the best" of local pet stores. Maxwell's sets the bar high for quality and nutrition - I learn something new almost every time I am there. Speaking of being in the store, I personally believe that this is also where the real magic happens. Jen and Kristi are so friendly and welcoming! It feels like I am walking into an old friend's house, that has an amazing selection of food, snacks, toys, etc... I am (obvi:)) a fan of Maxwells!

Another 5 star review! We love this place to give our dog Moose a much needed bath and trim. We went again today and had another lovely experience. The self wash stations are comfortable and their complimentary products are awesome. The blueberry facial is our favorite! Moose can be skittish and he seems to have taken to this place and staff very well. Also love the complimentary treats when you do a self bath, make the process so much better. 10/10!

My dog Matilda and I love Maxwell’s. It’s one of her favorite places and she gets bathed there on the regular so that’s saying something 😋.Jen and Kristi are so incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do - from animal wellness to human connection! We love running into them around town at the dog park, M always beelines to greet them whenever we do. ❤️ They’re so kind they always recognize us and call us both by name.M had some very intense anxiety about being home alone when I adopted her. I have tried every trick in the book and found CBD to be very helpful for her. Maxwell’s has their very own line of CBD products and I was amazed at how wonderfully they worked on her compared to other CBD products we’d been trying! I saw a big change in her confidence after the switch and I don’t buy any other brand now.The bath stations are incredible as well - the products are such good quality and they think of every little thing you might need (special tearless face soap, ear wipes, treatos to keep your dog happy). Saves my back from breaking in my home tub and keeps me from going nuts with after bath home clean up 😵‍💫.I will leave it there for a semblance of brevity but def check out our fave little pet shop if you can! ❤️

my dog is cleaner than I think he's ever been in his life and the set up & store environment helped him be more comfortable getting washed & dried than other places I've taken him for self service pet wash. pet wash was $35 seems like good value for what they provide. will probably try to go here to wash my dog in the future instead of pet food express.

Love love love Maxwell’s pet bar!!! I took the pup I am sitting in for a bath and Jen and Kristi were soooo nice and helpful! So many shampoo options and they put the shampoo or conditioner in a convenient little squeeze bottle to make it easier while washing. Store is beautiful and very organized!! Drying stations are easy to use!! We are so lucky to have such a great shop in the area!! Also Jen and kristi made sure I had everything I needed and helped me get my pup into the tub! Very attentive and sweet! Love this shop highly recommended!

Jen and Christy have created an environment that feels like a family home. Pet food products are top of the line in quality and our pets deserve that care. They make sure that the store is pristine and tastefully designed. They spent hours and days preparing for opening day and it shows! They have just celebrated their first anniversary of opening. Maxwell’s is a neighborhood store where customers love to visit with their pups. It’s definitely worth the hour drive and my little love gets to visit with Bumblebee and Hazel as well!Congratulations ladies, may you have many more decades of pride of ownership!

Brought my pup in after he decided to dig into a pile of mud. Absolutely loved the place, will never be washing my dog in the home bathtub again. Not only was this a better experience for both of us, the service was friendly, warm and inviting. Great raw food selection too.

Great new place. Wandered in recently, without my dog, I had seen a sign about Maxwell’s at the Upper Noe Dog Park and was curious. It’s super clean. The owner’s are really friendly. There’s a nice supply of dog toys and high quality treats and food. I purchase some freeze dried salmon treats that my dog LOVES and I look forward to bringing him here for a bath soon.

We're relatively new to the area and had a hard time finding a place to self-wash our big, nervous boy. He's making lots of progress but these sorts of things can be a lot for us both sometimes. but everyone here is so nice and accommodating and makes self- washes a breeze! Also appreciate the high quality materials, treats, and clean and organized space. Highly recommend!!

Seems super sketch. Their Instagram post suggests dog will loose weight by switching from kibble to fresh food (obviously to lose weight just control your dog's portion size, type of food doesn't matter for that). Also promotes homeopathy. Avoid.Employees are kind and nice to doggos.

Highly recommend. My pup chicken is not always the greatest around other dogs and they were the most accommodating, kind and understanding. It’s not always easy having a dog with behavioral issues and can be difficult to take them to public places and they made me and my pups feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you so much!

The women who run this store are awesome, and the shop is great! It’s well worth a visit to buy some quality food, treats or supplements or to give your pup a bath in one of their tubs (they provide great products to use!). The owners are full of knowledge and super helpful too.
