Small cookie shop in the heart of the Castro district. Got the cookies n crème, chocolate frosted brownie, and dirty krisp. The cookie was the best part with a soft center. Brownie had soft frosting but overall flavor was very generic and sweet. The Krispy rice treat was slightly dense, not as fluffy as I was hoping but decent flavor. Small shop inside just good for standing. Service was kind though!!!

I renamed this place to the “burnt cookie”. I ordered bunch overpriced $7 burnt cookie off Uber eats tried eating them but the hard burnt dry cookies were terrible. I brought them to the store showed them and the girl told me no. She will not exchange even one burnt cookie for a not so burnt cookie. The overcook their cookies so you have to trust me to save your money and do not waste it like I did mine for some worst cookies over ever had.

These cookies were absolute delicious! I definitely recommend you stop by to check them out especially if you are with kids. They are so affordable are warm. We bought around 36 cookies and my favorite one was the salted caramel fudge one.

A taxi driver told me: if you go to Castro, you MUST stop by Hot Cookie and boy was he right! Their products are DELICIOUS! I as with a group so we got a variety to try and they all had a few common denominators: perfect balance between moist and crumbling texture, warm and you could feel they were fresh. I would back the taxi driver's advice: when in Castro, stop there and grab a few, they're still yummy the next morning!

You have to make this one of your stops while in San Francisco. As soon as you walk in the environment is warm and welcoming. The cookies smell amazing. The staff here is very kind and will go over all the cookies with you só know you exactly which one you’re craving. They also roll the cookie dough near you so you can actually see these artists at work. Super super cool. Cookies are delicious!

Cookies just do not taste the same nor do they have the same consistency from days of old. When I originally moved to the Bay Area in 2008, Hot Cookie was the cookie place to go in the whole area. You paid by weight and cash only, and I was NEVER disappointed. Had cookies there from 2008-2013. Back in the bay and stopped by today. I found the cookies to not be as moist and the consistency was just way off. It's a new owner also. Sadly, I think I will have to stick to Anthony's Cookies whom is now my first cookie spot, same owner and cookies are still like they were since 2009.

Hot Cookie is a must stop shop on any visit to SF. Their combination of tasty carbolicious sugar filled treats, fabulous staff and camp atmosphere put a smile on my face every time I visit. My personal favorites are the ginger snaps and macaroons! YUM! But if you're looking for something more adventurous try one of their famous phallic shaped bickies! This place really epitomises the saying "sugar, spice and everything nice"!!

Seriously so tasty! Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We've tried their coco mac daddy, toffee milk chocolate and their peanut butter. They are all delicous. If you only want to try one, get the coco mac daddy! The ultimate pairing is to walk down to Castro Tarts and get their iced Vietnamese coffee.

What a unique shop! My friends took me here while visiting San Francisco and I was absolutely delighted. It features tasty treats as well an entire wall covered with half naked pictures of people wearing the famed "Hot Cookie Undies".I bought the fruity pebbles Rice Krispy treat and was amazed by the size (freaking giant) and the tasty (surprisingly good). I will definitely come back here when I come back to SF.

Cookies are bomb! I got the bust a nut(peanut butter, Granny (oatmeal raisin) and the Oreo cookie. They were all so good! Way better than crumbl cookies

This spot is a vibe. The music is good, the colors are lively, and my cookie choices were delicious. Definitely won't be frequenting regularly because, potbelly. But it's a definite goto for a quick fix every once in a while🤤.

Soft-baked cookie lovers rejoice. If you’re a fan of large cookies with caramelized, toasty outsides and gooey centers, this is the place. Can’t wait to try more of their non-chocolate treats! Minus one star for using what tastes like lesser American baking chocolate — a sour, vomity surprise in an otherwise delicious cookie.

Hot Cookie is always a must go spot if you are busy the Castro or playing tourist for a day.Who doesn't want a delicious cookie in the shape of naughty bits.In addition to the cookies they are known for they have a wide selection of other flavors. I got the cranberry and white chocolate cookie. The texture was wonderful but was a little too sweet for my preference.The person working the counter was friendly and helpful.

Sooooo good and worth the hype! Cookies were chewy and there was a huge variety of flavors-both standard cookie flavors and cool ones. I had the seasonal chocolate cayenne pepper one and I could have easily eaten another. Definitely coming back!

I think I tried every cookie and have always been satisfied. There are other offerings but have not tried any since I am strictly a cookie person. The staff has always been friendly. The coco mac daddy cookie is DELISH. The decor of this place is also bomb. It's wonderful snacking on the tasty cookie while taking a stroll down Castro. The toffee milk chocolate cookie is also very good.

Great desert spot that’s open late. Wide selection of large cookies. The oatmeal raisin was sooo good but I was a little sad with my bar cookie because there was too much base compared to toppings.

Usually go to the Polk location because it’s <somewhat> easier to access with regards to parking and running in real fast. Variations of cookies, but for me the fail safe is the “basic bitch” (chocolate chip). Really good flavor, texture. Just wished they had an option to buy cookies by the dozen and not just individually

This tiny counter-sized shop serves up tasty cookies and friendly service. I happened upon Hot Cookie while I was out for a walk. I bought a macadamia/white chocolate cookie and a rice crispy bar. While they were not cheap they were delicious. The woman running the counter was friendly as well. I wish there was a Hot Cookie in my town. I'd return.
