Truly the kindest people. I've dropped in every now and then for some treats for my pets over the last 15+ years and I've always found they are the friendliest and most helpful people ever!!! I have a dog that's reactive to other dogs and they helped me navigate the store safely when another dog came in.I also like that they have a dedicated green zone for customers since parking is a little crazy on that block with Angelina's being right across the street.

I have lived in the Richmond neighborhood for many years and finally made it to Cal's Pet Supply. What a pleasant experience. The owner Tricia is so friendly, helpful, compassionate, and generous. I told her that my cat Matilda had to be put to sleep recently and that the younger cat Snooker had fleas. She gave me a dose of Advantage (to kill fleas on cats) for free, no charge! She also gave me some little treats to give Snooker. She was very nice to everyone that came in. There seem to be many customers that frequent this store. I can't believe that I did not come here before for cat supplies. I have been lazy and ordering online, but do believe that we should support our local merchants. Cal's Pet Supply will be seeing more of me. Thank you Tricia for a great experience.

The owner helped me after a really long first day with my first dog who got out of her harness. (Trust was a mutual task for both of us from the very beginning and now my dog and me are great partners). They're great people at Cal's! Also, I love to grab a treat and then go across the street to Bazaar cafe where pups are welcome in the garden out back and I can grab a dog treat they leave us when I fix up my coffee.

I’ve gotten help with trying on harnesses... trying a carry sling for a new puppy ... treat and food education - the list goes on. Support this small, incredible business every chance you get !! The staff is super helpful and engaging. They have this really hard to find food that my dog eats. In fact, they have a ton of healthy grain free options. Their prices are the same as Amazon, but you are supporting a great local business.

I do most of my shopping here not that much more than the chain stores and I like knowing I’m supporting a local business keeping money in my local community. Plus they always give my dog Gracie treats :)

We love our neighborhood Cal's! Always nicely staffed and decently stocked with what the neighborhood needs for pets. This dear little petstore has been here for decades. Supplies only, no pets for sale. But a good place for "pet information" here.

The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. She was very happy to help me find a proper shedding brush. It's the go to place for anything you need for your pet. She was very patient when I returned later looking for a lost credit card she really went the extra mile to help me in any way she could.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They will even take heavy items to your car if needed. The inventory is very good, and I have been able to find everything I need here.This is a great and charming neighborhood store that represents what's great about this city.

Friendly people and they have what I need - what more do you need from a Pet Supply shop? Oh... a dedicated 10min only parking spot right next to their shop that I'm always able to snag!! I actually moved to the sunset from the richmond a few months ago but this will forever be my one stop pet shop. :)They have a great selection of dog food, treats, toys, shampoo/conditioner. The owner always gives my pup a little treat when I come in. My dog eats Orijen, and they actually offer a customer loyalty program which is great!

First time in. I am looking at crates looking for a kennel. A staff member comes up and the jumps when she sees me as if she is scared of me. Then asks me what I'm looking for and as I go to explain, she interrupts and tells me "I dont know what that is". She then recognizes the word kennel. But by that time I am gone. I felt disrespected and rushed. I'm going to try the other pet stores around before I come back here.

Wow ! Amazing super fun accessories doggie toys and wonderful healthy food for my doggies!I was in the city today headed to the beach from Marin when I stopped at Angelina s place for food from my favorite deli and I stated chatting with a man who started to share he and his beautiful wife have a family doggie pet animal storeWell my doggie needed a sweater for the beach and so I went and couldn't believe all the wonderful merchandise and the owner Trish was super friendly and her brother pat helped me pick out some doggie cloths such a nice placeI will be back !Oh and they do photos with Santa ! Yippie

The Cal's Pet Supply Band collars are a great option for those sneaky kitties that manage to escape from standard safety collars. These are stretchy enough that they can still get out if they are stuck somewhere.
