My boyfriend and I just moved into the area and we stopped by the neighborhood Vons to pick up some flowers to bring in our new house. Devon's here is a fairly good size but what stick out to us was their florist. When we walk to the flower section we were greeted with Big o welcoming smile and enthusiasm to help. We told the floors we were looking for something to celebrate our new house. She was so excited and happy for us to be getting a new house he said she would like to make us a nice custom arrangement. Who are we to say no to such a gracious present. She said it would take about 30 minutes and we hit it off to do a little grocery shopping. The owls here are nice and clean and well stocked. The produce is fresh as well. We're happy to have Vons like this to shop at close to our house. When we came back our arrangement was ready to go and I must say it was stupendous looking. Everything was nicely arranged and just keep warmth. We knew this would be a nice addition to our house. We thanked her so much and gave her a good tip. Will be coming back here for all of our flower needs!

This Vons has installed four self checkout stations. 90% of the time, only the express lane has a checker in place, so shoppers are forced to use self checkout. In my past eight self check outs there have been multiple problems from not recognizing vegetables to not accepting my payment card. It always requires help from an employee, and none are immediately available. I am done with shopping here. I will drive further for a better experience.

Very good produce! Good layout of produce department and other aisles. I like the sales flyer they have with the sales shown in it. Sales are also marked on the shelves next to the product that is on sale. Many of the sales clerks are friendly. And the people who help put your groceries in the sacks are friendly too. We like some better than others.

Vons probably has the worst bread ever. The kind I would not even give to my dog if I had one. Seriously the "french baguettes" as they call it are crazy acidic. There is no way this could be good to eat for the body.

Small, but has a good selection. Watch for expired products. On a few occasions I didn’t, and ended up with various expired dairy products.Check-out lines can get long as they sometimes only have 1 lane open and no self checkout machines.Good for a quick stop, but I would recommend driving to a bigger one for your bigger shopping trips.

Lines are almost always very long and not enough registers open!!!!! Just 4 you not user friendly! Very frustrating!people at the check- out are pleasant and try to be helpful but even they have trouble with the app! Prefer the paper coupons!!!! There needs to be a more user friendly digital system or scrap it!!

I absolutely love the gentlemen this store. The cashier I had on Friday morning was full of positive energy. The gentleman that was working in the meat department Friday morning was awesome. I don't eat a lot of different foods and he ordered fish for me. Then gave me the information on when I could pick it up. When I went to pick up my fish this morning the same guy was there with another worker. The made sure I was taken care of. The kept a positive vibe while answering all of my questions. I truly felt welcome at this Von's location. I appreciate all of this positivity and efforts to make me day.

Very clean, well organized, and stocked! Quick and easy parking, a nice small neighborhood Vons for sure! Plus, they have a pub and donut shop in the same little center!

2 star . The deli was a super sweet lady. So polite and nice. BuT this location is the worst vons I ever visited. The lines are too big for the cramped store. The staff, (not deli) is the most miserable iv encountered in supermarkets! Not a happy store. Will not return. But props to the older white deli worker female. She was a pleasure to deal with. The cashiers also know the store sucks and its on their faces such an awkward place. This vons should either expand or close. Its too small and ppl hate their jobs here. Aslo shoppers don't like it

Tucked away in the beauty of Tierra Santa and fully stocked. This is basically your only choice when it comes to your food needs. The staff are always so helpful and thoughtful. It's nice to know whatever it is you might need chances are this Vons will have it. Great store, Awesome friend staff, good prices. I recommend this Vons.

It's hit and miss with product availability. It's also frustrating going in after work and not being able to get hot food from the deli and having to wait in long lines because there are only 2 registers opened. Eventually, someone calls for help, but why aren't the backup cashiers on alert during the busy after school/work rush?!

I Don't know if Jeremy S. The cashier is having a bad day or what?? He was very rude and doesn't communicate well. Could barely hear what he was mumbling through his face mask. Not even a Hi or have a great day. He clearly did not want to be at work today. I wish this Vons would have a self checkout then wouldn't have to deal with rude people.

Tried to use the pickup and go option at the store. Waited 20 minutes and called once but no answer. Daughter did not like the wait so I went home. Called and got an answer so I could cancel the order. Was told that alerts for pickup and go sometimes don’t go through. Shouldn’t that be fixed so that what happened to me doesn’t happen to someone else?

A store smaller than some of the other locations nearby, but the carry a good variety of products. The store is clean with a friendly staff. The Drive Up and Go is a service I truly appreciate!

I give this store 4 stars because it’s the only grocery store in Tierrasanta and I’ve been coming here for 18 years. Unfortunately it isn’t as big as many of the other Vons stores. This one is lacking in the meat and seafood department. Many of the other stores have a much bigger selection and glass case to see their steaks and seafood. Pacific Beach is a prime example! This one has a tiny glass case with not a lot going on. The bakery isn’t bad though and the deli is also small with not as many selections (pasta salads, etc) as the other stores offer. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. The biggest problem is they are almost always busy which creates longer check out lines and more congestion in the store. They rarely have every check stand open either! That’s annoying when it’s busy!!! And they know they’re the only grocery store in town they should have more checkers and all lines open!!

Okay, I'm torn on this review. The employees at this store are amazing and the overall selection is great. BUT, this store has the worst smelling funk I've ever come across in a grocery store. It smells like they opened up the sewer grate as soon as you walk in. Also, this is not just a one time deal. The past two months have been like this.

The meat selection is minimal. The fruit and veggies go bad within a day or 2. Last time I was there was 2 hours before close and no one came to the register for 5 minutes, then the cashier and bagger had a pretty inappropriate conversation while I was checking out. 2hat is going on here!??? This Vons used to be great! CHANGE SOMETHING.

This Vons had everything I needed. The staff were kind helped me find things on my grocery list. The lines were a bit long but then they open a third and made it move a lot quicker.

I went shopping, the prices are higher and selection isn't wonderful.The STAFF IS HORRIBLE . I asked for help and the gentlemen wouldn't stop their conversation.Then at checkout the cashier and two others one who was dressed like a supervisor ot manager were talking about Starbucks cups. I informed the cashier I had my W.I.C. card and she never hit the button and I was charged for multiple items that would of come off if she was doing her job instead of talking when I slid the card. I was waiting for the receipt and she goes uhm you can slide your credit card now.. When I called about the problem couldn't get through... I felt small the whole time with the workers and in the store.

Stopped inside just for some Starbucks. Then notice fresh fried 🐔 at noonish closer to 1 was just put out. Delicious. Plenty of parking. Older store but looks clean!

Vons/Albertsons have effectively created a monopoly in Southern California. Their prices are extremely high, checkout lines are long and customer service inside the store is almost non-existent. I encourage everyone I know I and anyone I speak with to shop elsewhere.

Please stay away from this Vons. Cashier was very, very rude! I guess that’s why they do not wear any name tags. It’s an older Vons and inside looks like it with terrible lighting. I have bought items and the expiration date is less than a month away. Always check the expiration dates when buying items in this store. Go to the Vons on Aero, bigger store and the people who work there are wonderful.

This little Vons dependably & efficiently provides the goods! I'm tremendously grateful for the store here, "on the island in the hills." The crew I've interacted with is courteous, helpful and professional... thanks Tierrasanta Vons ... keep up the good (hard) work.

I actually used to work at this vons, 8 years ago. I remember everyone being friendly, however last night, cashier Alex, she was very unfriendly, didn't ask if I found everything ok, until she was half way through my checkout and I needed a bigger cart and she didn't offer to have anyone get me one. She didn't say have a nice evening, nothing. I probably won't go back ever again
