The new hire that’s in self checkout is rude and lacks training in performing her job and duties. Gave attitude when we had a issue and throw her hands up and said I don’t know can’t help and when we asked to speak with her manager she refused to get him and told us to leave. The manager finally came after we refused to leave and quickly fixed the issue the machine was having. She needs to be removed and relocated or properly trained. This isn’t the first time customers have issues with her.

The Robots are coming my people and this would be a great place to kickoff some automation. The DELI here is THE WORST I've ever encountered. I thought the last time was a one off but found the problem persists. I think a few of them have cognitive challenges, and I'm not being funny. From putting cooked food away slowly, I'm not talking safely, I'm talking leisurely putting stuff away with NO CONCERN for the customer at the counter. Watch the look on their faces even, like you are invisible and can wait as long as they'd like you to. I've gone there and asked for items at the counter, only to have the employee NOT UNDERSTAND what it is i wanted. And I'm articulate, as you can tell. So it's not that... I feel like the deli EMPLOYEES actually GASLIGHT customers at the counter by picking up the SAME WRONG ITEMS over and over, while pretending to not understand. It's like a game to them, or so it seems. I try NEVER to COME HERE during lunch because I've had it happen more than once now, so it's NEVER A GOOD OPTION and I have regretted going each and every time...LOOK HOW MANY BAD REVIEWS ARE ABOUT THIS DELI? I IMAGINE AT THIS POINT THE STORE MANAGER DOESN'T CARE, OR HAS NO COMMITMENT TO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER.

I don’t often write bad reviews, but I won’t be back. Ordered party trays to only get scolded by Doug for not answering his call when I was in the store to pick up. He then told me several times that I parked in the wrong spot. I’m just trying to get to my party and be helpful coming in to get the trays… nope yelled at

This Vons is beyond terrible. The prices are ridiculously high just so they can put things "on sale" for the price they should be. But the sales are also difficult to process. A few of them are still usual sales, but now there are a huge amount of "it's on sale but only if you buy a massive amount" and "it's on sale but ONLY if you use your account" and also "it's on sale but you have to use the Vons app and scan the barcode then decipher the offer and see if you're actually getting the right thing (usually there's a catch or you have to buy some combination of items to get the actual sale)".There are almost literally zero carts in the entire store. Not in the cart storage at the doors. Not in the cart corrals out in the parking lot. Not even really with people shopping in the store. And the few that you can find almost all have wheel locks that are broken and can't actually be used. You would think a grocery store would want to make it so you can shop there, but this Vons has apparently somehow lost that piece of wisdom.Avoid and go somewhere else.

For months now there have never been any carts to use. I limit my shopping to one or two needed items because. I understand the issue with the carts. What I don't understand is why they haven't replaced them. Terribly incovienent for the customers. I'll return when the cart situation is fixed.

I want to comment on the complexity of store sales items. It used to be you could go into the store and buy the items on sale by checking the price on the shelf. Then you had to have the card but once you had the card, you got all the sale items. Now you need the app and have to download each item to get the sale price; the you must buy the correct amount of each item (in varying amounts and groups). I deeply object to this sort of “sale.” Grocery shopping should not be this complicated!!

Employee in the delicatessen didn’t seem trained but the others had them make our sandwiches regardless. They used the same disposable spoon between two things that definitely shouldn’t mix after just wiping it off on a napkin or something.

I’m constantly targeted by an employee . Theres an employee who harasses me everytime I enter the store. I have never stolen or given any reason for suspicion but everytime I come to shop she stands DIRECTLY behind me and watches me scan every single item to the point where she even watches my method of pay and watches me input my pin while checking out. On numerous occasions she has disregarded every other customer to stand and watch me until I’m done checking out, and has even gone as far to walk out with me as I exit the store . I’ve asked for her manger to which she replies “I am the manger there’s no one else you need to speak to” she also targeted a friend of mine on one occasion who wrote a letter to corporate in regards to this disgusting behavior. I’ve been very respectful up until this point but my patience is wearing thin. If you want even a bare minimum experience shopping go anywhere else BUT here. I will edit this review and include photos of said employee at a later time. A “sorry” and a “review of her actions” as you’ve replied to all the other customers speaking about the disgusting customer services I’ve revived here will not suffice . I’ll be sure to record this employee and every other employee who stands by everytime I shop here from this point forward to share my experience with anyone I can on every single platform .

This is the worst possible Vons you can go to . The bakery messes everything up . Nothing is fresh and the customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with . They messed up a birthday cake entirely and refused to make it right . They just covered it up with a bunch more frosting completely ruining the cake .

Never enough baskets!! Bad inventory, always running out of items. MUST keep your eye out on code dates, they don't. Manager likes throwing little temper tantrums in front of customers... amusing!Recently caught them with code dates wiped off on an item. They claimed no knowledge of it!

Horrible service, was at the deli, only 1 employee, WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T GET PAID ENOUGH SINCE SHE DECIDED TO TAKE HER SWEET TIME. Ended up waiting 15 minutes just for dry chicken tenders, should of juat gone to Popeyes.

I went to Von's on El Cajon Blvd and Collge Ave. The only person that was very helpful was the employee working in the alcohol and beer area. I mistakenly grabbed a Vodka bottle with lemon. He was kind to check if I wanted the regular Vodka in which I did. Thanks to this employee he made my day alot better. He provided very good customer service 👏🏿. As far as cashier and baggage employees need to work on their customer service skills. I was not greeted or thanked when I purchased my groceries. Please do better. Thanks.

The ladies at the bakery, were very helpful. One of them tried to her best to explain the cake. The other one did a great drawing cute lips on the cake. I’m very grateful they were able to help me on such a last minute thing.

Vons has always kept to their word having excellent Customer Service.A clean store with very helpful employees. If there is an item you need and you forgot to get it and your in line Vons will get it.The Deli. Bakery. Produce. Meat Department always stay very fresh. Everything at Vons is fresh. They have everything you need. I also get 5 gallons of water outside Vons. The water machines is always available.

Store is so over priced and out of touch with consumers. It’s also weird that the items on sale don’t jive with meal planning. Meaning you just can’t take the items on sale and use to create a proper meal for your family It’s like you would have to wait for another item to go on sale if you were trying to really economize for the next week. Then use the same items to create a series of meals. Ralph’s does a much better job in helping customers save money and plan meals sorry Vons your out of touch

Always clean and fully stocked. Quick in and quick outPost covid-19 update:One way isles are now gone, so is the single line checkout. Register shields are gone as well. Pretty much back to pre-covid 19 days.1/2024 remodel of the store is complete, some items are gone or moved with other food items. Overall ibarill stand by my 5 star rating, I would give them more if I could!

I always have great service here at this Vons Starbucks. No matter how busy or stressed out they may seem or one person early in the morning. I always get a smile and great service. People need to understand that including their management! On 12/9/22 supervisor Gilbert decided to be curt as I mentioned the young lady needs help @ Starbucks. His answer while walking away was "everyone cant do Starbucks! "This wasn't news!I understand being rude in this industry is the norm now. So I just politely walked away! I'm sitting in my car as she catches up on the orders! It's much more to this.!Thank you and have a nice day

The had no price on an item shelf . I guess they don't have to label everything on the end caps. When I tried to get the item for the only price I saw the manager said "do you know how to read? This says 12 pack and you have a 24 pack".

I'm unsure how the deli is still in operation after the complete disaster it was getting a sandwich today. Firstly, the whole area is dirty and disorganized. Secondly, it took 25 minutes for the clerk to make my simple sandwich. He was utterly incompetent. From putting raw bacon on my sandwich, to not having a clue how to wrap it in the paper. It was a nightmare!! I will never go here again. The whole area looked like a health hazard.

This is just for the deli/hot foods area.Their employees are always nice and efficient, specifically Rosie/Rosa? from the sandwich area. She assisted me and made my sandwich just the way I liked it, even my pepperoncinis in a deli container on the side per my request and she bagged it too for good measure so it doesn't spill. She is a sweetheart of a person doing her job with a smile. I appreciate little things like that. Thank you!

No one should ever shop at this location. You will be harrased before you enter the store and have pictures taken of you before they demand you show them your receipt on the way out. All of this before you can even enter the store. 0 stars.

I can’t say enough good things about this store. My blind brother was having a diabetic issue while grocery shopping and the manager (Marcos, I believe) ran and got him a chair, another associate even offered to finish our grocery shopping if needed and the floral dept associate brought him a cup of water from the Starbucks in store. They kept checking on us and making sure he was comfortable and taken care of. Amazing staff and customer service! Super grateful to you all!! 💖🤘🏼💖🤘🏼

I try my best to avoid this place..the staff is terrible with guest service. The checker sent a text before helping me with my order. Someone in upper management should pay closer attention to the employees.Latest trip..The front end Supervisor while checking, pulled out his phone and was sending text messages. This place needs better Management and a NO cell phone while working. Absolutely ridiculous 🙄
