The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's a smaller store compared to Petco, so it gives this mom and pop type of feel, but with the variety and great deals and offers of a big store. They always treat me and my dog with so much kindness and are constantly offering to help. My dog loves coming and roaming. He tends to pick items off the hooks himself, making shopping/picking toys easier. He also loves all the treats the staff offer him. I haven't tried to self wash in the back, but that's a super neat feature! I believe the stations close at a certain point compared to the operating hours, but that may have changed (that was a year ago in 2022).

Took my pet for a vaccination service. A light physical exam is required and performed by the onsite doc. My dog was crying anxiously when the doctor inserted a thermometer near his ear. The doctor put a note of "Extreme anxiety". This is the first time we ever had this note in the last 7 years. Quite disappointed that the doctor and staff cannot handle the situation onsite and recommended us to a full service vet with oral medication before vaccination to calm down.The bordetella vaccine was an oral intake with a needle. The liquid injection was spilled out of my dogs mouse onto the ground. But the doctor insisted that a touch of vaccine would be effective. I paid $50+ for the vaccine with the vaccine not injected into my dogs mouth, maybe it is just a placebo. kinda disappointed

The store clerk was extremely helpful after I told her Greenies stopped making their grain free version of the dental chews and gave me samples of two other products. Also told me about some of their grain free bill treats, which my picky husky ended up liking.

I picked up my new foster dog today and brought him to Unleashed to give him a bath and get some basic supplies. Jasin was absolutely amazing and so helpful! He gave me some tips on getting my pup settled and helped me find the supplies I needed, as well as even helping me with the doggy bath. Great customer service! I will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

I came here to look for specific dog and cat toys. They have a great variety and also lots of dog clothes. We own several sizes of the lamb chop dog toy and I was surprised to find a small cat nip version of lamb chop for cats.

We stopped in this location while we were visiting San Diego on a week-long trip. This store is so adorable! We didn't plan on purchasing anything but ended up perusing their clearance section which was extensive and got several new dog outfits. The man that was working there at the time was so friendly, and so helpful, you could tell that he was truly a dog lover!

About a year ago, we had a terrible experience at this store's self-wash station. It was our first time there, the employee was really unhelpful and didn't give us any instructions or equipment like shampoo, towels, aprons, brushes, etc. They waved us away and then disappeared. The was area was messy with fur and boxes, only 1 out of the 3 wash stations was fully functional (2 had broken dryers).We've come back a couple times since then and have had much better experiences and the staff has really stepped it up. They are better trained, more helpful, and make sure we have everything we need and the wash area is clean and free of clutter. They provide aprons, shampoo and conditioner, towels, and brushes, or you can bring your own. There are bins for fur and used towels. Really happy to see the improvements. We also make sure to only use the leftmost wash station as it offers the most privacy and has the best dryer.The actual goods and shopping part of this store has always been great.

Very grateful they offer a self-wash station for pets! I really needed a place to bathe my dog because of construction in my boyfriend's backyard.It's $15 to use. We scheduled ahead of time and were given a 45 minute time slot. Despite some poor communication about reservation times, it was resolved and we were given a station.There's three wash stations with a shower nozzle (warm water) and a drying nozzle (cool air only with a speed dial). Aprons, shampoo and conditioner are provided and you get one small face towel and a standard sized towel. My dog was nervous but got used to all the equipment by the end.Other than that they sell pet supplies mainly for dogs and cats. It's a small, cozy store and the employees are friendly and eager to help.

I had not heard of Unleashed, but I found myself in a situation and they were open when others were closing so I stopped in and was greeted and assisted by the staff. They made suggestions and even though the product did not work out my new BFF had a pleasant experience.

I had a very unpleasant visit. As I walk in, I was rudely greeted by Jasin and when he checked me out, in the middle of the transaction he answers his phone with "What's up dude" and waves for another employee to take the register. Extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning to this location.

Had a fantastic experience here with Adam over a six week dog training course. He is extremely knowledge and fun to work with. I very highly recommend him. It's also a great dog store to shop at with friendly and helpful staff.

I was recently in Unleashed in Del Mar and was looking for a grain-free dog food for my yellow lab. I spoke with Adam about the various brands and he gave me several recommendations. His knowledge was very extensive and he was extremely helpful. He even gave me a coupon for a discount of the new dog food. I will definitely be buying my pet supplies here from now on!

The two young gentlemen working at #Unleashed, a subsidiary of PETCO, were very helpful & knowledgeable about Dog food, appropriate collars and a myriad of items for my new puppy, Tilda. #Unleashed is a smaller, perhaps boutique store, that is mainly Dog centered.

I used the self-wash station for my German Shepherd Huggy Bear. 10 bucks is definitely worth the price for washing any big dog with lots of hair. They provide shampoo, conditioner, warm water, towels, aprons, and brushes to give your dog a good wash.
