Reason of why I'm giving 2 stars and not one is because the establishment was clean and organized. Went there around 9pm to get cough medicine because my son was sick. Cashier asked for an ID. I forgot my wallet but I was carrying cash with me so I asked my husband if he had his ID which he did. Then the cashier rudely asked if the medicine was for me or for him to which I said neither. It was for our son at home. Then he said I couldn't buy the medicine since I didn't have the ID. Fair enough so I gave the cash to my husband who had his ID on him and the cashier still gave us attitude. I wanted to just leave everything and walk away.

This is an above average Riteaid! The staff is always helpful and overly friendly! Jacob is the man with the plan! He's aways rocking a smile and his great attitude is contagious!

RIDICULOUSLY HOT!It is already a hot day outside and you walk in the store and it feels like an oven! What kind of working conditions are these! A huge fan ventilating hot air is not ENOUGH!Chocolates at the register are meltingI feel really bad for the employees having to deal with this kind of working conditions!DO BETTER RITE AID !!!

Owen really went above and beyond in customer service, very kind and made sure that we were satisfied with the service. Going to the back just to restock the flavor we wanted.

Angelica, the Cashier is super sweet and funny. They just got a new manager who was also really nice. She told me the store in our neighborhood was not closing and I was really happy about that

Store is ALWAYS clean and for the most part, employees are very nice. At times there's homeless people outside, but not all the time. I really don't think it's Rite aide's fault cause they DO TRY THEIR BEST to deal with the situation in a Legal way.

The checkout line can get long at times. There is an Amazon Hub Locker (Elegant) here. After reading many of the negative reviews, which seem very plausible as I am a frequent shopper. (At least once a week.) I am seeing a common thread which is very disconcerting. After the customer describes the problem they experienced clearly and with detail, they are referred to customer care. I have seen the temporary air conditioning units in use for at least a full year. I know that many corporations reduce manager bonuses when money is spent on store infrastructure, so managers are tempted to let the store facility deteriorate. This is a disservice to both the customers and employees and no doubt leads to friction in problem transactions as well as loss of customers. Everyone would prefer to shop in more hospitable conditions. It really doesn't require that a customer with melted chocolates contact customer care to (not) get the air conditioning fixed! The manager needs to step up and do the right thing, not pass the buck to the customer. You are lucky that the customer told you about it at all! For every bad review you see here, at least 10 others said nothing and just never shop here anymore. For some reason, in this topsy turvy post Covid world, not even the most basic sales and customer service training is given even to management level. Actually ALL staffers need to be trained in the basics in ongoing weekly installments. (before the store opens, traditionally on Saturday AM) Make it 30 minutes if there is no budget or attention span for a 60 minute session. But for crying out loud, fix the da@&ed air conditioning first! If it's not in the budget, convince corporate to put it in the budget. You guys are losing 10 times as much money as you are aware of. It's in corporate's best interest to staunch the bleeding! It seems in this Zendesk world the new business model is to run and hide from your customers rather than use them as the valuable resource that they are. You should feel the pulse of your customers, not try to avoid them. The complainers are trying to help you FOR FREE! I don't care what the new Amazon/Uber/FedEx business model says. Pay attention to your customers and your profits will triple! It's actually that simple. Just care (for real) and don't just say you care. Customers really aren't stupid. When your staff starts providing real customer service, it's infectious. Everyone becomes a team and has pride in their work.

Shame on whoever runs this Rite Aid. Your hardworking staff has been working in the heat with broken AC for many many months. Your staff is excellent and going to your store is miserable regardless of that because of the temperature. Get it together get it fixed.

Store employee: Angelica SanchezI experienced the worst customer service from angelica i had in a while. I came in the store to do a simple return/exchange of an item. I was told by the pharmacy to head to the front for assistance. So i did. Cashier Angelica Sanchez was not only rude from the start of our interaction but also immediately annoyed by my request/exchange an item. After i tried to explain to her why i came to the front instead of the pharmacy for the transaction, refused to help me (for no reason) and demanded i have the other cashier help me. (Cashier Sherry who was a great help. I really appreciate her)As I watched her behavior with other customers, it seemed that she tended to be a lot nicer to non-black customers (im black), which is very concerning and appalling seeing as the store is located in a predominately black neighborhood . I will never be back to this store. Something needs to be done about her asap or you will continue to lose patrons in the area.I reported her behavior to the shift manager sherry and store assistant manager andre who both let me know that i was one of the many customers to complain about angelica’s behavior. This is unacceptable. Her behavior needs to be addressed asap.

Witnessed people shooting up drugs and drinking small alcohol bottles right outside while a man with a stroller was passing by. AVOID.

If you want to have a rude triggering experience, then ask for help from the Black more Older woman with Dyed Red Hair Buzz Cut, wearing glasses. The Latino Kind Man named Angel working here is like an angel, displaying the character of a manager role since he displayed customer service so well. Apart from the full review on Yelp, there were 2 examples of him going above and beyond not described in this review. The Woman I described likes fighting customers and I suggest avoiding her or mentally preparing so your heart + body doesn't get so tense/upset or triggered by her rude acts.

When I changed jobs and my insurance declined to pay for my medication, Lydia and all of the staff at this location were amazing to help me get the situation worked out. Not only did Lydia stay on the phone for over 20 minutes with my insurance provider to correct the issue, but she was enormously kind and super friendly. Very great staff.

It is UNBELIEVABLY hot in here! On a chilly day outside, it felt like an oven inside. I feel so sorry for the employees. When I asked why it was so warm, I was informed that their AC has been broken for months and that their corporate offices have refused to repair it. This is inhumane to have people working in such conditions... Shame on Rite Aid. For being such a large company, you would think that they would repair an AC for the safety and comfort of their customers and employees. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of their customers or employees end up fainting in there. Horrible... I’m sure their corporate offices have a perfectly running AC unit. Dirtbags!!

I have been here maybe 5 or 6 times and every time I go it never fails to amaze me HOW SLOW THE CASHIER IS . And yes , singular not plural , it is a rare occasion that a second cashier is needed , because not many people shop here , probably because of how SLOW THE CASHIER IS .If you had 2 people in line ahead of you ? You could probably drive 1 mile ON A LOS ANGELES FREEWAY AT 4:30 P.M. on a Wednesday in the time it took to pay for that emergency pack of toilet paper or whatever item you ran in for ! But for reals , THEY ARE SLOW.

They have some cool air machines around the store. Pharmacy made me wait 1 hour to get covid vaccine even with appointment. Seems like they didn’t notice me waiting for it even after I told two ladies Who passed by I was waiting for it. Finally someone asked and I got it right away along with another person who had also been waiting this whole time. Nice nurse lady but idk why I had to wait so long... nervous if I do have a reaction they won’t notice.

Rite aid is a great store, I get my prescription meds here, got some nail files for my dogs and grabbed some candy by the register, people were helpful and friendly, did not harass me to put on a stupid mask aka "chin bib" or "mouth diaper" I don't have COVID and never had COVID, they offered a "mouth diaper" but did not demand it, I'm the one at "risk" if I feel like not wearing a "chin bib" not you, my body my choice!!! Thanks rite aid pharmacy!!!

The cashier named Angelica treated me badly, she didn't want to give me the western union money. When she spoke to her in Spanish she said that she spoke fast and then I spoke to her in English and she answered me in Spanish, super rude.

I have been shopping at this Rite aid for years, and never had an issue. However, yesterday I walk in and try to buy a few items and cashier informs me that I can only use 1 coupon. I definitely understand its the new mgrs rules. Just thought Id put my 2 cents in though. Rite Aid has higher price points than the dollar tree and big lots right next door. This RA is not in a “target area,” the majority of households in this area are low income. So most people will just go to the other stores. Also RA is a pharmacy, so most customers are going to pick up medications, liquor or a random item that they dont have at the moment, but nobody says “lets go shopping” at RA. But I definitely believe that your sales will go down considering most of the sales are made with coupons. Regardless of which method of payment is used, Rite Aid still receives their money. Also sales and merchandise move way faster with coupons, thats why the manufacturer puts them in the sunday paper. I hope the new mgr assessed the area/ customers when enforcing these changes. I will just be driving down the street to LG or SV RiteAid from now on, as Im sure most others will also. I really hope this new mgr can make it work, but I also know that store sales are definitely gonna drop.

Nothing was likeable, but the remodeling is nice. I'm a frequent paying customer, that transferred my meds from Sam's Club to Rite-Aid. I could not get a key to use the restroom while I wait on my expensive meds or to continue shopping. Who was the store remodeled for, the customers or the employees. I was directed to go to Big Lots to use their restroom where I wasn't purchasing anything from. I asked the pharmacist to call a manager, no one showed up in a timely manner therefore I walked to Big Lots. I will be moving my meds back Sam's Club. Does living in a less prominent area causes you to take this drastic measure?

The people are nice and the manager is always very helpful. And they play opera/classical music on the speakers outside which is a nice eccentric touch!
