I was so happy to finally be able to use this groomer after going to another groomer that always kept my dog a long time and didn't listen to what type of haircut we wanted. Preferred by pets was efficient, friendly and gave our shi-tzu and adorable haircut.

Ashley grooms our teacup Yorkie and does a fantastic job. Other groomers at other shops have told me she's the best at these little dogs. Preferred by Pets has also been really flexible on scheduling (even when she was busy and I was really late).

Just moved back to S.D and was looking for a groomer relatively close to where I live. Decided to give them a try and they were excellent. Great customer service and groom on my Cocker Spaniel mix. I'll be back!

I have been to this groomer a few times now. The man who runs it is rude and extremely unprofessional. The groomers do a great job but I will no longer put up with his behavior. The last time my dog was groomed I was told two hours by the groomer. Four hours later I get a message back saying he was done and the kennels were full so I needed to come get him asap. I was there in 30min cause it takes me that long to get there. The man told me that he would appreciate it if I could have gotten here sooner. For real. You’re two hours late. I was so upset that I paid and left.Then a couple of months went by and I wanted to book an appointment for January. I texted and got a sorry we are booked. Ok. Well I am not trying to get him in soon. Which his reply was computers down. I am gonna take my dog somewhere else. Good luck with this one.

Wonderful place. They asked me the right questions about my dog which showed me that they really care. I only had nails trimmed because my dog is so small and they gave me excellent advice on how to bathe her well. They did a super job at keeping her nails trimmed at a nice price and didn’t flinch when my little scaredy-cat dog accidentally pooped! Great team and very kind people.

Our Maltese, Allie looks great! One of the best haircuts she has ever had. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Allie will definitely be returning to Preferred by Pets for her next wash and haircut.

We get our bichon groomed here several times a year. She is always happy to be there and excited when she is done. The staff is friendly and willing to work you into their schedule if you don't have an appointment.

We loved what Jessica did with our terrier mix, Bilbo. This last week we made an appointment and were told on the phone that Jessica wouldn't be available, but another groomer was. We are so happy with the result. He looks adorable and the groomer (and the host at the front desk) were both so sweet and attentive. They made a huge effort to make sure we were totally satisfied, and that our Bilbo was comfortable.

My doggy is a small Maltese with long coat. Carmen at Preferred by Pets did a great job grooming her. I appreciated that Carmen took her time with my little girl. I am very pleased and I recommend this grooming studio highly.

What a fantastic group of animal lovers. I take my bassetts' in for nail trims & The ladies are amazing & so very professional. My " girls" aren't fans of nail day. However we team together to hold & cajole them into being calm to get the work done. We all enjoy the howls of the hounds ! Definitely a work out that puts smiles on our faces & stories of laughter to share. Have even taken our cat in for a wash n cut. Sure that was also a sight to behold. This is the only place for us!!!!🐶🐱. Highly recommend!!!

This I keep coming back to, they really do care about each animal they service. My shih-zu lasso mix dog itches and they have been nothing fantastic at helping with trying to solve the itching. I get great results every time I go and they’re open minded to listening to the customer. My little dog is always very happy when I pick him up and it’s very apparent that the staff ACTUALLY cares about the animals they service. They’ll always have my business.

They are amazing!! Sunny is so great with Mila, I ask for her every time. I love they call me ahead to let me know when she will be done so she can be picked up the second she’s done. Sunny really listens and asks questions to get exactly the look we are going for.

I found this groomer a few years back and we haven't gone anywhere else since. Our dog is cared for, cleaned, groomed and happy when we pick him up. He loves the staff!

THANK YOU!! We have three cats and these guys treat them wonderfully. I had no idea you could pay to get cats nails trimmed but these guys do it. The staff is always personable and super helpful. Seriously go here if you need a groomer for whatever pet, especially feisty cats

This is the ONLY groomer I'll take my golden retrievers to. This place is 5-stars across the board. I could go on and on but the Staff are really what make this place special. The staff actually care about your pets, take the time to make sure the pet is comfortable/not stressed, and my dogs love going there. I highly recommend!!

My best friend Harmony, she's a Pomechua ( Pomeranian and long hair Chihuahua). She suffers from separation anxiety. Therefore, I was extremely concerned about the impact, it would have on her; at the same time, after 9 years, I was over the shedding 🙄She was nervous when I dropped her off... But when I picked her up....She not only, looked and smelled beautifully; when she saw me, she was excited, not scared....It was a positive experience for the both of us.

We've been going to PBP since our geriatric dogs were puppies for over 13 years. They have continuously done an amazing job over the years and we never have to worry about the safety or well being of our dogs with PBP because this is an animal loving, mom & pop's type of business. Their pricing is very competitive (better than what you'd find at Petco/Petsmart) and they use way BETTER products that smell really good and clean and condition the dogs so well. I would highly recommend PBP to anyone looking for your forever dog groomer!!!
