First off huge THANK YOU to the amazing medial team at PETSURG!!! From our first call, to walking out the door at the end of our visit, we were treated with the best care! I have an 8 year old Afghan Hound that had many symptoms and issues going on that had recently progressed. The team reviewed all her medical records prior to our arrival and even did an in depth consultation call to ensure I was comfortable with them taking over her care. The entire team was clear with their communication, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Jones really listened and carefully took all things into consideration when creating a diagnostics plan. She took her time to explain everything to me and help me create a plan of action for my dog’s treatment! She answered all my questions and provided me with recommendations and resources to get a head start on my dogs condition. I had a wonderful experience at PETSURG and would highly recommend their veterinarian care! ***big plus - they do all their blood work/testing in house! We had all of our results from her full work up - including X-rays, urinalysis, and blood work - in one hour!!!

I didn’t know what was going on with my dog. I suspected it was something with his leg. I only knew I had to take him in immediately. I desperately called around to find a place with minimal wait. I’m glad I found Petsurg & ER4Pets.As soon as I walked in I was helped right away. X-rays and exams were done to find that Sparky swallowed an unidentified object. It was stuck in his stomach and hurting him.The staff was so kind and friendly. I was treated like a person, not a number. They also ensured to immediately send records to my regular vet. Records were emailed to them before I even called to inform them of what happened.I was impressed with the daily check ins and follow through. I absolutely recommend petsurg & er4pets to any fur baby parent, especially if you’re looking for great service, friendly staff, and board certified veterinary doctors.While it was a little bit of a drive for me it was definitely worth it.

I have a new Miniature Schnauzer whom is 5 months old. He showed signs of stimulate ingestion a few days ago and I had him rushed to their er. Because of their quick response they saved my puppies life. They were so helpful and informative I felt informed the entire time. The follow up care is my main reason for writing this review. I have received answers to every question I have had in a way I could understand and act on. 3 days later and they are still assisting me. I have already implemented changes in my dog's routine and diet. They sent all his paperwork, charts, invoice and labs via email for my records. The cost was reasonable, especially with insurance. If you don't have insurance, get it. If you think you can't afford it, you can't not afford it. If you are deciding which er to take your fury friend to, TAKE THEM HERE NOW. To their staff I am forever greatful, I will never forget what you did for my baby. Every staff member their is a compliment to their profession. I truly thank you. I brought in my kitten after she was spayed and had a really bad infection due to her surgery. Her condition was really critical and Dr. Jones and her amazing team took a great care of her. Dr. Jones Immediately noticed what was going on with her and started her treatment. My cat would definitely have been dead without their accurate and timely diagnosis and i don’t think anyone else could save her other than Dr. Jones and her team. She was hospitalized there and the team kept calling me and keeping me updated. They even called me to check on her for a couple of days after i took her home. Overall Dr. Jones and her team are amazing! They saved my baby! 100% recommended!

ER4PETS really saved us on New Year's day! Over the holidays, my dog had been having gastrointestinal problems, but on New Year's Day it got really bad. ER4PETS was the only location open, so without knowing who they were, we raced our pup over. They were quick, attentive, and kind to both me (the stressed out emotional dog mom) and my sweet pup Ollie. They had him healed up and puppin' around within 12 hours. They even gave him a "Certificate of Bravery" for his time spent at the hospital. I would obviously hope my dogs would never need to go to the ER hospital again, but if they do, I have peace of mind knowing exactly where I can take them. Thank you ER Pets!!

I highly recommend giving this place a try for your pets! They treat your pet (in my case English Bulldog) like family. I took my dog here for major surgery and they charged me $1800, where elsewhere it was $8,000. Nobody likes paying for untimely hospital vet bills, but I'd rather pay them here!

Dr. Jones at PETSURG is truly a find. She is so calm, thorough and patient and her expertise in so many areas is beyond helpful. We live quite close to her hospital as two of our cats have significant health issues. So, just knowing that her hospital is very close by brings us tremendous comfort since she is open 24/7. Her prices are quite a bit less than other veterinary emergency hospitals in San Diego that we've been to when we lived in other areas. We could not be more pleased with the medical care that Dr. Jones provides. Hope that they enjoyed the pizzas that we brought for the staff to thank them :)

I cannot recommend Dr. Jones and her staff enough. The cost to spay and neuter my two dogs was 1/3 of what my "regular" vet charges, and the care my dogs received was exceptional. I will be going to PETSURG for all my surgical and emergency needs because they are open 24 hours! Dr. Jones and her staff are fantastic! Brought my Halie (cat) in for her spay and everything went perfectly. Since Dr. Jones is a certified surgeon I knew Halie would be in good hands. What I didn't expect was such a fast recovery. It was all we could do to keep Halie from playing w/her little sister and running around the house... on day two after surgery!Her incision has healed very well. No issues or complaints... by me or Halie. : )Very reasonably priced. The team did a good job of reviewing options and costs.Highly recommend!!!In fact, Halie's little sister Fiona will be visiting Dr. Jones for her spay soon!

Dr. Jones and the entire staff were absolutely amazing and so compassionate with our Norwegian Elkhound who needed to have a toe amputated due to a cancerous growth. Dr. Jones put us at ease immediately, after 3 previous consultations where we weren't feeling comfortable with proceeding. She called daily to check up on our sweet boy after the procedure and was available for our many questions. With three previous consultations, we also felt the cost was the most reasonable with the most caring staff. Highly recommend and so grateful for how you took care of our sweet boy! Dr Jones has incredible ability, talent, intellect and instinct. I was originally referred to her to spay my dog, and she did an amazing job. Years later, I am still going to Dr Jones for all of my pups emergency and unfortunate surgical needs. Dr Jones is always there, no intern, no students, no amateurs. A real vet, a real doctor who is board certified and who has compassion too. My dog has a series of complex medical problems and Dr Jones is one of the reasons she is still alive. I am forever grateful to her and her staff for being available to me and Dolly 24/7! She calls, emails and checks up on both of us, post op, and truly cares. We love her.

My pup and I really love the staff at ER4Pets. Everyone was helpful, sincere, and pleasant. We felt at ease during examination and my dog seemed fond of them even after staying overnight with them for the first time. The doctor made sure to explain their process of treatment and walked me through the items on my bill. They even emailed me a copy of my bill for insurance purposes. I definitely recommend ER4pets and will keep them in mind if puppy has any issues in the future.

Dr. Jones and her staff are devoted and so good at what they do. We met Dr. Jones when she did the neuter on our rescue dog. She has since treated our pets for emergencies. Dr. Jones is highly competent and professional. She has taken care of our six dogs emergency needs for almost 10 years (Chihuahua Coyote attack, two complicated knee operations, teeth extractions, etc.). Her staff is friendly and does a good job following up after you take your pet home. She is our "go to" practitioner for emergency pet needs.

Dr. Jones is kind, compassionate and very reasonable in price. She gives you a consultation with detailed estimate and it is completely free. There is no pressure to go with her. She takes her time during the evaluation and it's so good with my dogs. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Unfortunately she can't be a regular vet otherwise I would take all my animals to her for everything. The staff are also excellent.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service I received today. My dog was in a dog fight yesterday and has three puncture wounds on her so I called them at 7:30 AM this morning to see if they could get Her in because she will not eat or drink for us now. Was told to email pictures, Which I did right away and waited about an hour never received a call so I called back to see if they were able to take a look at my email and fit her in. Then I received a response stating yes they could see her today but it would be closer to 11 or 12 to call before we head down to make sure that they had an opening for her at that time. I also checked my email and had an email back from Dr. Diana stating also that she could see her today if I would like. I replied yes and waited till 11:00. When I called at 11 Dr. Diana herself answer the phone and then told me that they were still super busy and to call back in another three hours. I was under the understanding when I spoke to them in the morning that they would be available closer to 11 or 12 I was just calling to see if they had room to bring her in. She was very short on the phone with me and rude and pretty much told me that they are super busy and to call back in a few hours. To me that is not sitting my dog in to see her that’s just giving me the runaround meanwhile I have a dog that’s not eating or drinking and in pain. They have seen my dog there before and already had her in the system so not sure why we keep getting back pushed back when I thought we were going to be seen around 11. Overall horrible customer service and just leave people hanging even if it is an emergency. Very sad and not empathetic towards your emergency, definitely won’t be returning or referring people there anymore.

I have been taking my pets to Petsurg for 5 or 6 six years now. Dr. Jones is very patient with me as I get anxiety when one of my senior pets needs surgery or is in pain. She is honest, very knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. We recently rescued a senior dog who was in very bad shape. We weren't sure she was going to make it, but with the help of Dr. Jones and her staff my sweet senior not only survived a 2 hour surgery, she is prancing around and thriving. It has only been 9 days and the improvement is amazing. Thank you to Dr. Jones for helping me give this sweet girl a chance to have the life she deserves! I would recommend Petsurg to anyone!

I took my 18 1/2 year old Persian cat, Peaches, to ER4Pets late on a Thursday night, because he suddenly could not use his right front leg. Dr. Jones and her staff were so caring and made Peaches comfortable right away. Dr. Jones was always available for updates over the phone, and I was allowed to visit Peaches by his cage. He was there two full days and went home with complete instructions for his medications and care. I would highly recommend this ER for any pets in crisis.

Dr. Jones and her staff are amazing. I have had dogs all my life but am new to the Greyhound world and they are not like any other dogs, medically and physically, they are an alien breed. My Greyhound skewered herself on a stick and caused a bad wound, torn muscle and lots of blood. I was freaking out, rushed her to Dr. Jones who took the time (and was very patient with me) to answer all my questions. My Kizzy is getting her stitches out today and I could not be happier with the care she has received from Dr. Jones and her wonderful staff.

Dr. Jones and the entire staff at ER for pets is fantastic. I brought in the Labrador "Tiger" with the ear infection issue. The ER staff responded almost immediately to evaluate Tiger's problem and started to work on it as soon as possible.The service is QUICK and the PRICE is reasonable. It's the only emergency service I found comfortable to use for my dogs in San Diego area.

Soon after moving to this area a few years ago we had to take our young golden retriever to ER4PETS for the first of what turned out to be a few occasions when she got into things she shouldn't have. Nothing was lethal, but it's disconcerting when these things happen after regular vet hours. We also have a few pet birds and having been impressed with Dr. Diana's treatment of our dog, I asked her about her bird experience -- was she comfortable treating birds in an emergency situation? Many vets are not but she assured me that she was.On Christmas Eve 2016 my healthy, adult cockatiel somehow fell from his cage, causing bleeding from an area we couldn't locate. In a worst case scenario, I could have removed a blood feather, but that didn't appear to be the problem. The bird seemed to be clotting rapidly, but to be on the safe side we drove him down to Dr. Diana Jones. Sydney the bird loved Dr. Jones, and he's not an easy creature to please! She handled him with confidence and quickly located the problem, assuring us that the bruised (nonblood) feathers were indeed clotted and there was nothing further to be done.We were very pleased with her abilities and as always, she was pleasant to work with. Amber, who took care of the front desk that evening, was helpful and nice as well.As an aside, we had to have an aged parakeet euthanized some weeks ago. Again, this happened after our regular vet's hours. Dr. Jones and her staff handled this event with the sympathy and understanding that we all need in such a sad situation.We highly recommend Dr. Diana Jones and her staff!

I would highly recommend to seek medical advice and help about your pet with Dr. Diana Jones. Last month I wrote an e-mail explaining to Dr. Jones situation about my dog Kira which was limping and her X-rays "showed nothing" as we were told. Dr. Jones (not even knowing us at all) replied the SAME DAY and offered to look at the X-rays for FREE. Dr. Jones answered me in a matter of hours after analyzing Kira's X-rays. Kira had arthritis she said. Dr. Jones also listed the suggested care for Kira in her e-mail. If Dr. Jones is not the greatest person and specialist then who is? Here is our story.My dog Kira was rescued. She is a mix of German Shepherd. Kira was limping on and off ever since we adopted her in 2015. Prior to adoption during her transition period she lived in a crate/kennel for about 12-16 weeks, so we were told Kira has no problems with her health. Kira was 3 y.o. when we adopted her. We first went to some OTHER doctor to find out why Kira is limping. That OTHER doctor charged me twice for X-rays and additionally for supplies to make my dog sleep (twice): in fall 2016 and winter 2017. I spent in total about $430 paying to the OTHER doctor and was told X-rays did not show anything and that Kira looks healthy (first time) and later we were advised to seek help with specialist. I was so worried about Kira I thought she needed surgery.
