Molly sees the same groomer monthly, Camryn. She is great, personable, helpful and Molly always looks and smells great when I pick her up. Everyone there seems to love dogs and enjoys their job. This is important to me because people who are stressed out can take it out on the animals in their care.

Due to human medical issues, this pretty little girl turned mangey. Post groom she looks and smells good, she is white and not cream with crunchy pieces. She is not snowing anymore. Those nasty mats are gone. I have taken my girls for grooming elsewhere and Pretzel will be groomed at Mira Mesa Petco, every month. She is a fluffy whie American Eskimo and like most children, she makes a mess of herself. She turns cream color. Post groom, my girl is glowing, neon, white and so very soft. She got a little handkerchief! It is a very clean salon and the groomers were not just sitting hoping something happens. This is one concern off my plate.

They booked us a last minute appointment which I was very thankful for. I've always used PetSmart grooming so I expected it to be similar. The price was about the same but I think PetSmart dries the dog fur more thoroughly and has better smelling shampoos. My dog has dry skin so I choose the oatmeal shampoo and she was very soft afterwards which is more important than scent. Petco did a better job grinding my dog's nails shorter than PetSmart would and that's great for someone who has hardwood floors at home. Overall I think they did a good job.

Such an awful experience. I’ve been coming to this location for 4 years now and they’ve gone through so many management changes. The last 2 groomers I’ve been going to I’ve had no issues. The current manager there, Niki who was going to groom my baby did not have a warm welcoming attitude. My little yorkie can be handful but I’ve never been treated this way at any petco before. Maybe the managers there were having a bad morning but you should not take it out on customers. She was not friendly at all. They told me to pick up my pup after 15 mins of being there and charged me for a bath for $36 and I did not feel that was fair. I tried to stress the situation to customer service and spoke to the manager and she said there were notes of my dog being aggressive and that is WRONG. My dog wouldn’t hurt a fly. They did not handle the issue in the right way. They failed to uphold a customer first mentality and this is not how you run a business. Do better Petco.

I always go to Petco Mira Mesa to get my dogs groomed. Sierra who always helped my dogs & I is great.My experience this time around was not that great. I booked this appointment weeks in advanced, because they are usually booked pretty far out. Today, I was helped by Gunnar. I asked him if he could add a trim to the face of my dog. He told me he was only a bather and was not able to trim my dogs hair. He then asked the Nick the stylist if he could do it. Nick said he couldn't because he was on the way out. Which is fine, I understand people want to go home after a long day of work. Gunnar then checks my dogs before taking her in, and then tells he probably won't be able to take her in today because of her knots, because a stylist has to be present to shave off her knots. Mind you, Nick is still there and has not left for the day.I just find it frustrating that I booked this appointment weeks in advanced only to be turned away because the other stylist couldn't take another 15 minutes to check out my dog. When the plenty of times I have gone in, it was no problem.Suggestion, have a bather and a stylist at the same time during business hours just in case a dog needs to be shaved so they are able to get a bath done. Time is wasted and money is lost for both the bather and stylist.

Called earlier today to see if there was any openings to bring my dog in. Spoke with NickHe told me that they were completely booked for the day. (10 seconds of silence)I then asked if there would be any openings this week..next week or next month...Great to hear Petco is doing well. I’m surely not supporting them anymore!! Way to go Nick

My rescue dog, Charlie, has nervousness and anxiety issues. The groomer handled that great and Charlie loved her bath. She did not appear nervous or anxious when I got her back.

I found this to be a Nice, Quiet, and Very Organized=Orderly store; it has Wonderful Hours & a Great Central Location; there are Friendly & Helpful staff of ALL levels, from Inventory Stockers, Cashiers to Greeters; it has a Pleasantly Sterile (Meaning Safe/Sanitary/Clean) environment... HOWEVER: It has Nevertheless TOO EXPENSIVE of Prices--Bbuyers BEWARE!
