I went in to kill time before my appointment and seen a very old snake they had up for adoption. It tugged my heart, so I took old Reginald home. He’s in a quarantine tank for now and then he’ll be moving into my snake room, but he’s doing so good! Everybody was very nice when I went to ask about him and they really seemed to care. It was so wonderful of them to take in a 37 year old surrender with nowhere to go and help find him a home to live out the rest of his days. Recommend them to everyone.

Just a super diminished version of what they once were. The people talking about how good their prices are...I want some of what you're smoking. Its clear you guys don't shop around. Husbandry on many species is OFF. DO NOT get me started on tarantulas.Most of the employees are nice, but one younger woman with tats that works in the back is RUDE RUDE RUDE, literally one of the most obnoxious, customer service failing, arrogant creatures. Sadly, I've talked to others who have also had the misfortune of dealing with/being insulted by her. I literally only shop here in a pinch now.Come here when it's convenient, as at least it's not a mega chain. But don't delude yourselves, there's better prices and more knowledge elsewhere. Beast Pets, for example. Good luck

love this spot! Joseph is great. you'll find him in the booth in the back being charismatic & giving people their rats. He's incredibly knowledgable & is always stoked to give me some care advice for my ball python. I'm not sure what I would do without his real-life first hand experience, it's been a life saver!!!! Great store with one of the largest selection of reptiles, aquatic life, and supplies you'll find in southern California. Friendly and helpful staff.Overall decent care for the animals, some husbandry could be improved/updated for a few of the individual species but overall much better husbandry than most pet/reptile stores.

The best pet store in San Diego especially if you need fish or reptile stuff. Have every kind of fish food and fish accessories you can think of! Super reasonable prices so it's easy to come back over and over again. The kids love it because there's always something new and cool on display right when you walk in.Ms. Elaine is the best! She always helps me yet my fish and nails and crabs. She is always super sweet and super knowledgeable.I got everything in these photos from Pet Kingdom and I love everything about it!

Highly recommend if you're big reptile collectors. The price is reasonable, and lots of selection. Very friendly and super clean store. Watch out for traffic during rush hour it can get very messy. Lots of parking spots

Wow, friendly, knowledgeable Sales Associates with great variety of fresh/salt water fish, reptiles, plus, plus...all you need! I purchased angel fish both Koi and Pands for 80 gallon tank along with 3 little fish that create lots of movement & love to play in the bubbles. Big Angel turns bright orange on one side, irredecent on the other...including some photos.

Best selection of healthy fresh and salt water fish, reptiles, turtles/tortoises, snakes and lizards (and all the food and supplies they need!) AND they're a locally owned company. Go take an afternoon and explore the store just for fun!

I was impressed as soon as I walked in at the cleanliness of all the tanks and cages, as well as the health of all the animals. I made a trip down to find aquatic plants and fish for my nano-tank, and was exceptionally happy at the wide selection and unusual species they had on hand. Ben was extremely helpful and patient, going through plant species with me to find the colors and growth habits I was looking for, and would fit into my little 5 gallon tank.I also picked up a betta and loach while there, and honestly I've never see such a selection of healthy bettas. Their reptiles and other animals were also in excellent condition, with breeding pairs and animals there to be pet-sat in the same cage types and conditions as the animals for sale. Everything looked healthy, happy, and well cared for, and the staff were all extremely knowledgeable and eager to help.It was a delight to chat about Dwayne the rooster behind the counter, and pick up a range of products in person. Selection was great, quality excellent, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a pet store where all the animals were in such good condition. Absolutely will be back!

Pet Kingdom has a nice selection of animals. They have salt water fish, fresh water fish, turtles, tortoises, frogs, spiders, snakes, and lizards. Animals do look healthy so don't worry about your pet dying the next day. The only negative thing I can say about Pet Kingdom is there prices are higher than other exoitic pet stores. Is it worth maybe but sometimes you walk out with a steal. They also have a huge range of pet supplies for sale, so don't worry about not finding food sources and ext because they got it. Very roomy so your not crowded and can actually take your time looking around. Very knowledgeable staff.

Lots of different variety of fishes and reptiles. plenty of accessories for both freshwater and saltwater tanks. Prices are reasonable and the staff was very helpful. The gentlemen manning the fishe area was ready to help and very knowledgeable.

So I purchased a veil chameleon from this place in January 12, 2022. I love her at first sight but this place didn’t have a set price on her. And the staff told me they are not easy to care for.. I ended up buying her set her cage enclosure up and she was eating well doing ok but she was shedding a lot. And it took almost 2 weeks before it all came off. She was a bit skinny as well. But she started to look a lot better as the weeks went by. On March 20th she started showing signs of not moving around a lot and not eating much. I waited about a day or two. After that she was going to the bottom of cage. I reached in there and she feel in my hand at this point I knew something was definitely wrong with her I took her to a emergency vet and she was slowly passing away. I got her in there and was told the she had some kind of rotting in the teeth and that she had been sick for a long time. I was devastated to hear she was so sick. After about 2 hours she ended up passing away. I am seriously hurt over this. I called pet kingdom and spoke to Matt about the animal but he was not able to help me in any way or offer anything for the loss of this pet. I buy from this place all the time for fish and other animal supplies. But this was not fair or my fault. I will never buy another thing in this place I will make sure I tell everyone I know about my experience in buying anything from this place. This was the worst experience I have ever dealt with. I sure hope everyone reads my posted as I stand strong against this place for selling reptile’s to anyone. If I could give you no stars that’s what I would have gave your place. Horrible experience.
