Thank you, everyone, for making scruffy's stay a success. We were very anxious about letting our little one out of our site, but you (the team) made us feel at ease. I have to give a huge thanks of appreciation to Daniela. She's pure gold. I can't say enough on her attention to detail and awesome customer service. Daniela is truly special and a great representative of the doozydog brand.Definitely will come back when in the San Diego area.SincerelyGiovanni

I drop my dog off most days at opening and despite the early hour, Doozydog team members are always happy to see us. I am so relieved to have found a place for my dog where she can get out her energy and be in great care. I’ve only had great experiences since I started bringing my dog daily. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for daycare or boarding!

I brought my fur baby with me on my work trip to San Diego and am so grateful for finding Doozy Dog Club! They were fantastic with caring for my fur baby while I worked during the day, all the while I was able to watch my Toby play with his new friends on their live camera feeds (I even had colleagues watching)! I wish there was a Doozy Dog Club where I live. If you need a doggy sitter for the day or boarding in Gaslamp area, I highly recommend you try Kristin’s team at Doozy Dog Club—your fur baby will love it!

I found Doozydog! on Google after looking for a someplace near Little Italy where we could get our 120 lbs. fluffy Bubs cleaned without lies and excuses. No one wants to groom big dogs. I don't know why these other places are even in business. We actually had a place lie to us about their groomer quitting because they didn't want to groom her anymore. We were getting concerned that she was a problem. No the problem is these other terrible establishments! We walked into DDC and got the best welcome for us and for Zelda. When we handed her over we expected pulling and shaking as we've had in other places but there was none of that. She went straight in with the groomer and stepped right up when instructed to into the tub/sink. It was like watching our baby on her first day of school. She was nervous but she was still smiling and clearly not scared. DDC has the fantastic, helicopter-pet-parent thing: VIEWING WINDOWS so you can watch your babies get cleaned up. They are the best thing on the planet! When we arrived to pick her up the groomer and the receptionist were both full smiles and couldn't wait to tell us how well she did. My heart totally swelled in my chest. They brought her out all dolled up with little bows and she was happy, bouncy, and clean as a whistle. Both of the ladies couldn't stop telling us how great she was and how much they love her and Zelda who is extremely selective (she's a DIVA dog) loved them. I don't care where we move to in SD, this is the only place that we will be bringing Zelda to for all things.Thank you, DDC, for being the best groomer in all of San Diego and for truly loving, caring for, and caring about our furry, tail-waggin', poop & treat-lovin' babies!

Had my dog stay here for about a week. It's certainly expensive, but also worth it. I had him groomed during his stay, which came out alright, but it really felt like just a good once over to clean him up. The people there always refer to the dogs as children, so you know they care.

This location lost our dog at 4AM and did not notify us until 830-9... Luckily, someone found him (4 blocks away from Doozy) and posted it on Nextdoor.Things like this happen but what I did not appreciate was how the situation was treated afterwards. The manager said she would call with an explanation as to why our dog was able to breakout of the building, let alone the only dog lost. She called us but my wife wanted me to speak with them. So I immediately called back, left a voicemail, and never heard back. Please see comment from owner below. There was one phone call in August and then my follow up voicemail. Also, owner could have called after seeing this comment to resolve issue, but decided to appear good on Google reviews.I think the corporate office didn't want the admitting negligence, incase of a lawsuit because the next day, we received a credit of $1,000. Definitely not using this.

Just had the worst experience picking up my dog. We came here recommended by my mother in law. Specifically, knowing that Emily regularly grooms her large doodle, who is known to be anxious and unruly during grooming visits. We wanted just a touch up around his beard and eyes, his paws and his private area (the face/feet/Fanny trim service that they offer). When he was ready for pickup, Emily came out and explained that Arlo didn’t behave well and that the cut wasn’t perfect, but she tried. Arlo was brought out and the cut was so very far from perfect. She shaved down the top of his head -which we never asked her to do. It looked like a cross between a bowl cut and a mullet and I couldn’t even recognize my dog. The absolute worst part of the experience was Emily’s reaction to my feedback. I calmly explained that I didn’t like the cut and commented on how strange he looked. She responded that if “we” had decided to cut his body, that it would look way better. Well, you started the cut knowing you weren’t going to cut his body and we also didn’t even ask you to cut his head at all. I would have rather her call me and tell me that Arlo was too difficult, and she didn’t cut his face. I explained it was our first time to the groomer and tried to ask her the terminology that we used that made her think this is what we wanted- because I never wanted this to happen again. She continued to be extremely defensive and said “well this is the doodle cut”. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional she was and that she continued to blame us, even though nobody was blaming her in the first place. The conversation was going in circles and at that point we would definitely not be returning customers, so I just said okay and walked out. It’s a bit of a ridiculous thing because he’s happy and healthy, but leaving the store I cried. Such a horrible experience. I wouldn’t be leaving this poor review if Emily had taken our concerns seriously, tried to figure out where the miscommunication happened and attempted to rectify the situation. But here we are … at least he is clean. Before and after pictures

I have been taking my dog, Sunny, to this location for the past 7 months since I moved to San Diego. He has regularly attended doggie daycare and done boarding as well. He loves it there and is a happier dog. On a day when he can't go, I can tell he misses it. They do an excellent job in matching dogs in the play areas and I love to pick him and hear about his day and what new friends he made. When I have been able to catch him on camera, I see that the areas are kept clean and monitored well. When he leaves, he has kisses for all the staff, especially for the manager, Kristan. :) I especially am grateful to her as he is mildly handicapped with weakness in his back left leg and she has led the staff in personalization of care. They keep an eye out and have been known to give him little breaks if it seems he is over-exerting himself. I have seen similar comments and notes for other dogs, too. Every pup feels like a true V-I-P. That sort of personalized attention is unheard of! I don't know how they do it, but keep up the good work, Doozy!!

My dog really loves going to Doozydog. They take great care of him when we have to board him. The only thing that I don’t like is that they charge you if you pick up your dog after 12. I am already paying for the boarding which is expensive, it should include a day of play with it.

Took my adopted dog to this place for grooming and cutting, I also wanted to dye her fur but they said they don't have black or brown dye. I gave up that hope. Then the groomer recomended to go for few inch short so I follow her recomendation. The people was nice but they shaved my dog whisker. She look like a rat. Though she clean but constantly cold and curled up.

I was hesitant to bring my sassy senior 14yr puggle to doggie day care she had always had in home pet sitting but it was the best decision I could have made for my puggle. I thought she would be sad in a corner it was the opposite she had so much fun. I truly feel I got more months with her from her having social interactions. She sadly has passed away but the card I received from the staff shows just how much they care for your fur baby like their own. I’m forever grateful to the staff at Doozy dog San Diego

I’m a crazy dog mom and a very picky customer. After weeks of searching for a dog boarding and reading all reviews l decided to go with Doozydog Club SD. Let me tell you this, this place is safe, healthy environment for your fur babies and most important thing is they really love dogs! You can keep eye on your dog via cameras ( l was addicted to that :) And they keep separate big dogs and small dogs. Their staff is so friendly. While l was on vacation my Daisy stayed there and she wasn’t feeling well ( nothing about the place ) they took her immediately to vet, they regularly give her medicines, they handled the situation professionally. When l went to pick up my Daisy girl, the manager told me they took care of vet bill. That was very kind of her. Thank you to Doozydog Club and their staff again. Highly appreciated and recommended.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Doozy Dog Club! I bring my two dogs, Carlton & Bean, to Doozy Dog in San Diego. Both of my dogs have a little bit of anxiety when they are left, due to never having to go to daycare in their earlier life. However, Doozy has done an amazing job taking care of them. The trainers and staff all care deeply about the animals and it shows. It has allowed my Wife and I to leave them without any second thoughts, either for the day, or for a vacation. We have utilized their daycare, boarding and grooming services and have loved every minute of it. These people are caring and great and I would highly recommend bringing your pet here!

I recommend Doozydog! constantly. Their staff are always warm and welcoming even on those crazy busy days, and they handle Sherlock and Watson so well (they're hard to handle dogs). I usually use the groomers, but even when I drop them off for daycare, they always come home happy, healthy, and well-cared-for.

My dog, my husband, and I LOVE Doozydog! We've been taking our dog Yuki here for 2 years. When we first adopted Yuki, she was very shy around unfamiliar dogs and people. To increase her socialization time, we started dropping her off at Doozydog once a week, unsure if she would enjoy it. Fast forward a few weeks later and ever since, Yuki gets excited every time we arrive at Doozydog. The staff has always been extremely friendly and very caring of Yuki—they even tell us how she does each day! Since we’ve been taking Yuki to Doozydog, we've seen a major improvement in her socialization skills. She is so comfortable with the staff there that she lets them pick her up and surprises them with kisses. When we leave town without Yuki, I have peace of mind knowing that she is having a great time at Doozydog! Needless to say, Doozydog is a superb doggie day care and I constantly recommend it to pet parents.PS: Doozydog goes all out on Halloween! In 2019, they had a costume contest and photoshoot—here's one of the fun pics they took of Yuki "The Grinch".

Doozy is my favorite place to bring my dog for his grooming appointments. Karina has been bathing Gunner since I started bringing him here, and they have the best relationship. She is so good to him and always does such a great job!

It was my first time leaving my pet at a day care. I had same day service, a complementary free day, supportive and friendly staff, a tour, and safe pick up. They have a day time video monitoring camera that I really liked too. Extra points for cleanliness because I watched them make sure to keep everything sweept and cleaned regularly and pick up dog poop immediately.👀👍

Amazing dog place ! I love that they require a meet & greet for your dog and give you a transparent tour of the facility. Kristan is the manager and she is so sweet and remembers all the dogs! She remembered my dog after just the meet &greet the next few times I came in. They were generous to give me some complimentary passes because I let them know I wanted my dog to be there for boarding in the next couple weeks. They care so much about having the dogs be comfortable and not have anxiety. I also appreciate the LIVE DOG CAM, as I too get anxious about not seeing my pup but I was able to check in on her whenever I wanted - except at night when the dogs are sleeping (use a laptop to check on the camera, as the APP version on the smartphones are not worth !)Highly recommend!

If they had a 6-star option I would have hit that. This is hands down the greatest groomer I have been to in 11 years of getting my dog groomed. We moved from Seattle and tried Doozy since it had good reviews and was close to our house. I’m so glad we did because my dog goes crazy when we even get a block away. Then he scratches at the gate to get back and get pampered. The staff is next level friendly and just take such good care of Max. They sincerely love him and tell me every time I bring him in and when I call to make an appointment. We’ve since moved to Mission Valley, but I make the drive downtown because Doozy is the best.

I started coming here a couple months ago and I have to say, Juliana has been the biggest help! She has always been extremely kind and helpful in explaining the costs and programs they have at the dog day care. I was a little uncomfortable leaving my dog at first but I want to thank Juliana for changing that by showing true compassion and care for animals! Thank you doozydog club!

We are in town for a short visit and needed day care for our pup. Being a rescue dog, he is still very shy and very anxious around new people. So we came for our meet and greet and he had a very hard time at the beginning... but the staff here is patient and kind and they took the time to let him settle down for longer than the 30 minutes average meet and greet. The good energy of the staff made him feel confident and he was finally able to stay for the day! They have different setting for big and small dogs and the pups are under constant supervision.I have seen the staff clean the premises through out the day as well. They have the webcam services, I have been checking the camera and I have seen how compassionate, kind and loving the staff is with all the pups there. By the end of the afternoon, our pup was being held by one of the staff member! Which was very reassuring to me.Also the price is very reasonable.Great experience altogether. Totally recommend it!

What a great experience! We were on vacation in San Diego and needed a place for our sweet pup to stay. The staff welcomed us and our boy. They took care of him and showed him lots of love! He had an absolute blast in doggy daycare and he smelled so good after his grooming appointment. We will definitely be returning customers when we visit again. Thank you so much for caring about us and our pup!
