It's a great place for self wash. They also have very professional groomers. I have not used them other than nail trimming which they do well. The self wash has everything you need towels, shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaner, detangler, deodorize and blow dryer. They have so many types for whatever your pet needs. They also sell food, treats, and toys. They are so nice to the any animals coming in. And it's pretty affordable compared to other self wash places.

My fiancé and I have been taking our sheepadoodle to Klarissa for a year and a half now and we just absolutely love her! We even followed her when she transferred locations because she is just SO talented and personable. Our dog Holiday also loves her! She does an amazing job every time and we are so happy we found her!!

My first time at the store and I was greeted with such great service by everyone, especially one of the managers, Mike! He was super helpful, told me about the deals going on esp for items I was looking for. Mike was also very knowledgeable and so friendly. I really appreciate info on knowing the grooming rates too! I want to eventually take my dogs here maybe after a beach day for a good grooming/cleaning.So many great dog food items, snacks, dental chews, wipes, accessories and grooming services offered here. Very clean store and you can even self- groom your dogs here if you prefer that.I love their points system! You get a coupon for just signing up, and you basically get a point for every dollar spent which is a great deal.Thanks Mike for your great and fun service!! Seems like they’ve got great new management going on

I rarely write any kind of review but had to take the time for this. We’ve been taking our dogs to Klarissa for over a year and used to see her at the Carmel Mountain Dirty Dogs location. She does such an incredible job, we followed her here even though it’s a 20min drive out of our way! Recently, one of our two dogs passed away that she used to groom and she posted a little tribute to him on her Instagram page. (R.I.P. Kingston ❤️) Klarissa is personable, kind, and takes the time to get to know you and your preferences for grooming. She’s truly all around great and we’re so lucky to have found her. I HIGHLY recommend her services!

This locations other staff was awesome to work with as well especially Bryan, super easy booking process with the call center , easy check in and always love the welcome when I arrive. Wanted to shout out Wendy here at DD Del Mar, she has been awesome for our pup! We don’t typically need her groomed but when it comes time our girl is always nervous with most groomers but stays very still and is super happy to come home. With Wendy she feels comfy and safe so she gets excited when it’s time to go see her friend, and she’s always getting a few extra puppy kisses in before she leaves! My family all have started bringing their dogs to Wendy as well and they are loving her as well!

I discovered this location at first to just utilize the self bathing for my Sheepadoodle’s weekly bath. After chatting with a few of the very nice staff members, I signed him up for a grooming appointment with Wendy. She is incredible! So patient, caring and has amazing experience along with talent. She took the time to not only make a grooming plan for my fluffy doodle, but also talked with me about tools to make the in-between maintenance easier for all of us! Hands down the BEST doodle groomer in San Diego!!

Can’t say enough good things about this Dirty Dogs, Del Mar location.First off, the staff was amazing. Michael and Jade were both friendly, accommodating and very efficient in getting us a tub for our two dogs quickly.The wash area was very clean and organized. They were both very attentive, checking on us a couple of times to make sure we didn’t need anything. Exceptional customer service in an age where it’s hard to find anymore.They have a wide variety of treats and toys and everything was very reasonable.Definitely my new go-to dog wash facility. Michael and Jade were great and you’d be hard pressed to find a better self serve dog wash.Thanks guys, we will definitely be back.

James was gentle with my 6lb baby Pixie. He did a great job on her cut and she smelled so fresh and it lasted for a few days rather than just a few hours. Also, Mia was so helpful and knowledgeable about selecting healthy food and treats. Great store and people.

Michael and Liza were so great. Michael was very welcoming. I have two pugs that needed nail trimming and self wash. Liza did so well with the dogs nail trims. As for the self wash, Michael kept checking on us frequently making sure we had everything we needed. A great place to bring your dogs to wash them up and an added bonus - great music to sing to your pups!

I have been going to Dirty Dogs for grooming for my fur babies for many years! Wendy is AMAZING. She is kind, gentle, friendly and honestly shows love to the boys as if they were her own. I love how she cuts their hair and has great attention to their teeth, nails and all thing’s necessary. So happy to have had the experience of Wendy’s grooming. Will continue to go to her now that I know her.

Wendy does such a great job with my little poodle mix. He’s so finicky and does not like being groomed. When I picked him up last time he looked so cute and adorable and was so happy. I couldn’t believe it. He’s never been that happy after a groom before. Wendy is so flexible and nice and I love the convenience and the rate is very reasonable also.

Dirty Dogs Del Mar is an extremely unhealthy and dirty environment (hence the name.) I found the staff rude and mostly grumpy. The staff initially allowed me to put both my dogs in the bath. Later, an employee came up and demanded that we leave the store with our “disgusting animals.” Our dogs were well-behaved and clean. She said that it wasn’t allowed to have 2 dogs in the same bath at the same time. Other people walked in with 2 dogs. She said this had been repeated incident. After paying, I asked for a receipt. She would not give me one. The employee then cursed at us as we walked out the door. Do not go to this store! -Spencer M.

Wendy is the best! She took the time to understand my goals with the haircut, and the results were exactly what we were hoping for! I really appreciated the patience she showed for my fur baby. He tends to get anxious at the groomers, and I think her calm energy really helped him.

This was my first time at Dirty Dogs. I want to start by saying that the store was so clean and staff was extremely accommodating. I was skeptical due toprevious horrible experiences with others groomers, but I heard so many great things about Wendy in my neighborhood I thought I'd give her a chance. She literally sat in the lobby with me for 20 minutes until my dog felt comfortable. Me and my kids absolutely loved her. You could tell she loves what she does and she's honest. Our pup looked fantastic when we picked up! She definitely knows what she's doing and her love for the job shows in her work. Wendy and Dirty Dogs really changed how we felt about groomers and we will be a forever client. We already re booked for the holidays! Thank you Wendy and Dirty dog staff!

I took my furbaby for his grooming session with Wendy and I couldn’t be more happy! All of the staff was super friendly and got us in and out of there in a flash. It’s hard to find groomers that can do a good schnauzer cut and thank god for Wendy. Bryan was also great! Great washing stations and not that expensive in my opinion given how convenient they are. The store had great selection of product as well. I live in SF and was here visiting with the dog and stumbled upon this place which was great cause my dog needed a nail trim and a wash. They charge $20 for nail trim which is more than I pay in SF and it took the groomer 2 mins to do it. Great girls working the wash station and friendly groomer but the manager was very rude and condescending and acted like she didn’t want to be there and the feeling is mutual. I also don’t think she should be there. I won’t come back to avoid dealing with her but I don’t want to give the business and the rest of crew a negative review which is why I still gave the place 4 stars

Dirty Dog- Del Mar HighlandsBait & SwitchChecked in with my two dogs today. Historically I have paid $59 for their buzz cut. This was confirmed at my check-in today. However I am presented at check-in with paper quotes now, and verbally told they raised their prices in Dec $10. My price per dog, the same two dogs $79 each. So the prices raised in Dec $10 I ask. Yes. $10 increase in Dec. My response : so my price would be $69 each is this correct I ask. I am told “ Well no,” because the prices are $79. Is this Bait & Switch? Oh and the charge a service fee as well.Very poor business policies and practices. True bait & switch
