Unfortunately, we have had a poor experience at this facility. Our Bernie doodle recently stayed at this facility and contracted Kennel cough. She was later cleared by our vet to return to camp, but then was denied by Jennifer the owner. Our vet actually cleared our dog to return but yet Jennifer refused to allow our dog to stay overnight. As both my wife and I are traveling this put us in a very difficult place, but fortunately we found other options. Wag hotel Mission Valley, Paw Commons Bay Park, Canine Unleashed Mission Valley all turned out to be better options for us. Due to this owners subjective choice, which was in direct contrast to our vet, we feel other dog camps are better suited for our dog.

The worse doggy care so far I have tried! I had to pick up my dog after only few minutes being left there. (This is after she already being evaluated and got accepted to this location). Within the first few minutes, I checked the camera and saw they put a leash on her and dragging her somewhere else that I couldn’t see. They separated her within not even 5 minutes being there. I called right away while still on the same street to see where they took her and they said she was very playful and she has too much energy! Da! She is a puppy and super curious also in a new place! Give her more than 5 minutes to get adjusted to her new environment! I also specifically asked them if she was aggressive toward anyone or any dog (which she never is) and they said no she is very sweet but just has too much energy! So basically they took her away within few minutes only because she likes to run and play! Absolutely disappointed of the whole operation at this location. For sure not even going to try the other campuses they have if they all using the same mentality and evaluation for judging a new&young dog.

My baby is so happy to come here for daycare everyday. We started off two days a week and soon moved to 5 days a week as she still needed some energy to be let loose ;)They are great with all the doggies here and all of them are so sweet. I highly recommend Camp if you are wanting your pup to have the time of their life while you are at work or away!

Our pup loves coming here! Lots of space to run around, water play and no kennels when it’s time to sleep. Report cards said my pup liked to snuggle the humans during sleep overs. Staff friendliness can be hit or miss but everyone seems to treat the dogs well.

I was looking for a place I could take my one year old Russell Terrier for a couple hours a week. I wanted him to be able to socialize with other dogs in a safe and fun environment. #camprunamutt is the place!The super friendly staff greeted Tucker at the door and ushered him straight in to doggie heaven!They sent me a text after few hours to let me know my pup was having a blast.When he was picked up at the end of the he received a super cute report card that reflected his day at camp.As dog owners we want feel secure knowing our fur kids are in good hands and I can really say that Camp Run-a-Mutt fits the bill.

My 2 Labradanes both started going to Camp as puppies. Many, many years later, Camp is such a huge part of our lives. The owners and staff are beyond amazing and have become like a second family! Everyone shows so much love, care and attention to not only my dogs, but every dog I have ever seen them come in contact with. While my dogs are usually daily campers, they also board on occasion, which is another wonderful experience. The fact that humans sleep overnight with my dogs (cage free) is more than I could ever ask for. I am a helicopter dog mom, but I never worry when I drop my boys off at Camp - I am so thankful every day for their services!

On a recent vacation to San Diego, California, we used Camp Run-a-Mutt for doggie daycare while we visited local attractions. The staff, facility, and service was amazing! Our fur baby came home exhausted every day! Extra bonus ... she's much more dog-friendly and people-friendly than she was before the trip!Thank you, Camp Run-a-Mutt! ❤

The best place to board your dogs! We hate being away from our dogs, but Camp Run. Mutt Pt. Loma takes so much if the worry away. They pay attention to how each dog is feeling/reacting to their stay and do their best to make sure they feel safe and happy. We LOVE the doggy cam. It’s so fun and comforting to be able to check on the dogs while we are away. Highly recommend!

My dog and I felt extremely welcome from the moment we walked in. The staff is so friendly and everyone looks so happy when a dog walks in! One of the owners Kim, recommended her place years ago and I finally decided to try it out. My pittie, Ginger, had her first day orientation and everything went so smoothly. I got to watch her on the cameras from the lobby, while they explained every step of what was going on. I was extremely impressed with their service, technology and the freedom the dogs have there! The play area is huge and looks like a fun playground/park with a little pond! They do not crate and do not separate the dogs, everyone plays together! :) When I left I obsessively checked in on her using the cameras (this is the best so I could see what she does without me), and every time I checked the cameras a staff member was kissing her or hugging her, she was just getting so much love. I am so happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt!

Took my dog Rusty Bear here for a trim and this place definitely does a fantastic job and actually cares about the dogs unlike other places. Such good vibes here and I could tell Rusty Bear loved his time with them too. Thank you Soo much. We will be back for sure!

We are in San Diego for a short period of time but are out adventuring and exploring most days. Camp Run-a-Mutt gives us the peace of mind that our dogs are being well taken care of and loved. Not to mention the active day they have. One of our dogs has a tracking collar that also measures steps taken and he is usually above 35,000 steps when he attends daycare. They swim, play, run, and chill while at day camp. The staff is amazing. We appreciated the first day report card, the staff’s vigilance for keeping dogs up to date on vaccines, the photos of our dogs from time to time, and the birthday celebration one of our dogs received on his birthday. I highly recommend taking your dog(s) to Camp Run-a-Mutt.

Angel (Jacquet) I had the pleasure of meeting Sheldon at this wonderful place.We took Stormi our beautiful and loving American Pit-bull yesterday September 2 to have her first visit with Camp Run A Mutt and her visit at a daycare .This place is professional and top notch.I have nothing bad to say about this place.My Stormi is everything to me my“Baby “ and they treated her with love and care I am in absolute “Awww” of this place.When I visit San Diego I will only take my fur baby here I trust them and I recommend them to anyone.Thank you 🙏 to Sheldon and all the great staff from Camp Run A Mutt you deserve a 10⭐️

After only having our pup for 6 weeks, my husband and I were nervous about boarding him during a family trip since he has pretty bad anxiety. The staff at CRAM was amazing!! They did a temperament check/day care beforehand to make sure he would be okay around other dogs, which honestly was a big relief for us too since we weren't sure how he would be. During his weekend stay, the staff texted photos to us to let us know he was doing okay and having a good time - it was so sweet! He even whined getting in the car leaving camp because he had so much fun Such a good price for overnight boarding and more importantly your peace of mind as an owner! 10/10 recommend

So much love for this place! I have a VERY energetic Australian Shepherd who needs a lot of exercise. While we go on lots of long walks & do lots of activities together, nothing can fully tire him out like camp can. I literally don't know what I'd do without this place! They offer different packages, based on how often you want your pup to go. They also have the best staff! You never have to worry about leaving your dog... everyone who works there will treat your dog like their own. My dog now knows the word "CAMP" & freaks out as soon as he sees the big orange building in the distance. I enjoy watching him run around all day on the cameras. Camp is the best!!

I live in a small abode in Ocean Beach and am so grateful to have Camp Run-A-Mutt Point Loma for the days I need to work away from home or just want my dog to spend some quality time with her own species. We have boarded Hali overnight many times as well, which is a nice benefit of Camp! The staff are incredibly professional, loving and have come to know Hali and I well, since we visit weekly at least.I highly recommend Camp for your dog(s) for day-play as well as overnight boarding!

Love the Camp Run-A-Mutt Point Loma location! Takes such good care of my dog luna. We have boarded and done daycare there for over a year now. Not usually one to write reviews but the staff there is so friendly and genuine. They really get to know every pup. I've come to pick her up and they always let me know if they notice anything to keep an eye on like her licking at one paw or if she has a belly rash and they put some ointment on or whatever needs to be done to make sure she's ok. It's on the pricier side for me but I think it's 1000% worth it and would never go anywhere else!

I am so grateful for camp run a mutt! I have a Soi dog rescue from the illegal meat trade and he cannot he kept in a crate. The cage free dog boarding full of happy dogs and humans who know every single dog, and love every single dog is what he needs when he goes to overnight camp. My dog is so well taken care of at camp, and we love the photo updates during the day, the report cards, and knowing that he gets to play and sleep with his friends while he’s there. The ability to watch him on the mutt cams eases my anxiety when I miss him, and honestly sending him to camp has eased his separation anxiety an incredible amount. We love camp. We just got a new doggy and can’t wait to send her to camp too!

We were welcomed with smiles and super dog friendly people. Our dog passed the meet and greet and had a great first day there and then returned to board for a week of fun and made so many dog and people friends there. He’s a rescue from China dog meat trade so he’s been through a lot in his short life and we like him to have no cage boarding for obvious reasons and he thrives at Camp Run a Mutt. We loved that we could take a peek on the webcam and see him interacting with his dog friends. Great place!!

Camp is our favorite doggy day care! There's always lots of dogs, the water fountain is our pup's favorite, and bonus, she always comes come exhausted! The cameras are great, as long as they are working, it can be hit or miss. It's always nice to check in and see what our girl is up to! Pretty much all the staff is friendly aside from one girl that I get the feeling isn't a big fan of our energetic girl- but that's okay. The location is a little awkward to get to but isn't too far from home which is convenient. Would definitely recommend!

I couldn’t say enough positive things about Camp run a Mutt. Our Dog has been going there since he was 6 months old and is now 3.5yrs. Maurice is a special boy who is smart as a whip and stubborn when he doesn’t want to do something. The staff at Camp are wonderful. They have taken the time to learn how to work with him. All the staff make me feel like he is their favorite (I am sure that all the fur-parents feel this way). They send us pictures of him while we’re on vacation and sometimes “just because “. I highly recommend them for daycare and boarding!!!

My husband and I absolutely love Camp Run A Mutt. The staff is super friendly and our golden doodle has a blast every time he goes to camp! He even knows the word "Camp" and gets super excited to go. They have cameras you can watch your pup on and its always very clean. Best doggy day care place in San Diego.

Ziggy loves camp! The best part is that when he's done socializing, he's totally worn out and sleeps like a baby :-) The staff is very attentive, friendly and the dogs really listen to them. Very rarely (if ever), do you see a dog misbehaving. It's actually amazing that they all get along. Also, we love that they have crate free boarding. I'm sure it's available for dogs who are crate trained, but it's nice that there's an option.

Camp Run-A-Mutt is a great, local & safe place for your pup! We trust them 100% with our fur baby (75 lbs) who is timid and shy. Their staff are gentle, friendly and attentive. Being able to see how she is doing with their camera monitoring is great. The management and staff demonstrate a genuine love for the animals and care about you as a customer. You and your pup is in good hands with them!

We've been bringing our dog, Riley, to Camp Run-a-Mutt in Point Loma for about 6 months now. We love it and more importantly, Riley loves it.My fiance and I both work full-time. We hate leaving Riley at home all day alone and it's not always feasible to come home during the day to walk him. Camp Run-a-Mutt has been the best solution for us. We feel comfortable leaving him there all day because we know he's safe and loved. All the employees we've encountered know Riley by name and they're always so excited to see him. It is a little pricey but it's worth it because I know he's safe and happy when we drop him off. I don't worry about him at all while he's there. We love Camp Run-a-Mutt!

Our puppy Wolverine has been attending daycare at camp run a mutt since he was old enough and up to date on shots. He goes just about every day and always comes home worn out. We love that he is able to socialize with other pups and the humans that are in the yard throughout the day. We are very satisfied with the level of care that our puppy receives at camp run a mutt, the staff are very attentive and always make sure to notify us if there is ever an issue or if our puppy seems not to be himself. He loves going here and is always excited to get in the car because he knows where he's going :) we are very grateful to the staff and owners that daily provide a place for our pup to enjoy himself without being locked in a crate all day long.

Best doggu daycare by far! My dog has separation anxiety and we left her with Camp Run-A-Mutt for over a week... We had the opportunity to check on her daily and when we picked her up she was a happy dog. We will 100% continue to rely on them for future daycare visits and boarding. You guys are amazing!

Interesting this place is called Camp “Run” a Mutt seeing our puppy got asked to leave because she was “running in the yard.” Apparently running is not allowed here, and if you have a playful pup, watch out. My dog loved this place, she had been a handful of times with no complaints, except for one specific staff member every time. I will be honest, we have a 9 month old mix breed husky puppy with a lot of energy, which is why we paid to have her run around and play. She goes to the dog park, no issues, she is not aggressive by any means, has never bitten, barked, or even yelped at another dog. When she got spayed the vet told us she didn’t even crate her because she was so sweet and well behaved. So, not sure how to rate a doggy day care who told us, word for word “Our staff just can’t handle her.” If your staff can’t handle a running dog.... not sure you should be in business.
