My son and I went to the warehouse instead of our neighborhood pet store and it was well worth the extra miles. He wanted to set up a nitrogen cycle (whatever that is). Staff at the aquatics warehouse knew what plants, media and bacteria were necessary and which to avoid for a first timer. The entrance to this aquatics wonderland is inside an industrial park. Once inside, you'll recognize plants and creatures from the movie Finding Nemo or your last Padi dive. The large selection of tanks, demonstrations, media, aquatic and staff knowledge made visiting fun and only increased my sons excitement about building a habitat (if that's possible).

Amazing store. Beautiful tanks, exceptionally priced fish and plants. Not the biggest selection of freshwater fish, but beautiful variety of saltwater. Only complaint is their freshwater fish don't look very colorful in their tanks, but other than that a very good store!

The place is really showing its age, yet the employees are very helpful. The bathroom needs a refurb- this place is far away from civilization. :-). Miss seeing the towering protein skimmer.

He’s super friendly, highly knowledgeable, patient, and assisted me with a step by step process in establishing my salt water tank setup! Terrible experience. Placed order 3/7 - as of 3/11/24 no order confirmation. The $206 charge is showing on my card. Emails do not go through- blocked by I am not a robot not functioning, phone calls not answered and voice mail not available. Organization includes acquatics warehouse, pond max and castle aquatics - same issue with emails and no voice mail set up. Each entity refers you to the other. Absolutely horrendous customer service!!!!!!

Was out of the hobby for about 7 years (according the Google thats how long it had been since I visited AW). This place is still as stunning as ever, that giant fresh water tank is too cool. There's other options for salt water in SD that are comparable, but there's really no where else to go when it comes to fresh water and I have zero complaints.

Very big store with a big selection of freshwater fish and even better selection of saltwater fish. The fish appear healthy and I am especially in love with the big planted display tank with the huge roseline sharks (aka denison barbs). I wish I could take one of those 6.5 to 7 inch beasts home lol

Good prices and very clean store. Was super busy when I was there so staff was busy with other customers. Fish all looked very healthy and prices were unbelieveable. Not a huge collection of coral, but what they had was priced very well and seemed very happy/healthy. I wish we had saltwater fish stores like this by me!

Extremely helpful! They have some lovely fish of both fresh and saltwater varieties and I found their answers to my questions to be very detailed and helpful. The place itself is super cool and fun to walk around! They also have prices much cheaper than petco since it's a specialized store so I highly recommend this place for all your fish needs! The employees are also very wonderful and will do their best to help you with anything you need. 10/10.

My go to place. Started a reef tank for the first time. I always have a million questions. The employees are always super helpful and knowledgeable. Help me with any questions or concerns I have and offer advise. Every employee from the guys in the back to Lisa up front are always kind, helpful and take care of whatever you need. I highly recommend this business to anyone apart of the hobby.

Haven't been here in a long time. Soon as I walked in the store, was greeted and helped finding everything I needed. Ending up walking out with 2 Kessil lights and a 40 gallon Cobalt tank with stand. Great place and great people. Was taken care of by Derek and Cameron. Will be back for sure

Excellent selection of fish. Very helpful and friendly staff. Store tanks are beautiful, they really provide you with inspiration. Walkways between tanks are a little tight but not ridiculously so. Bought 3 fish. Prices pretty standard.
