there was 2 people at petco but they went to me in 5+ minutes and i got a betta and all the cups were clean and there was king bettas and there was baby bettas and they were looking very good and the cashier was cool they were like how is your new year and they always say happy new year or have a great day and all the real plants were not dead at all

Went into Petco at Tanforan looking for a new groomer… no one around. Called out a few times. Petco employee told me she didn’t know if anyone was there and was not affiliated with them other than they are in the same in store. The store itself had boxes everywhere which equals a lawsuit waiting to happen. Everything in that store looked disgusting: floors, garbage cans full, I think there was vomit on the floor and they put an advertisement sign to hide it… it did not look fresh. Even the employees looked questionable. I had to clean my dogs paws after we left. That’s how gross it was. Get it together people.

I’m not sure if they are shutting this location down, but there are very empty shelves all over. I’m a dog owner myself, and I went in looking for an extra leash. It was hard to find much of anything.

0 stars if i could.first off, you petco people need to do research how to properly care for Betta fishes. THEY DO NOT DO WELL IN SMALL CONTAINER.Most of the fishes have white spots, and are dying/dead. My man adopted a beta fish because he wanted to save it. although we'd love to save them all if we could but this is sort of greedy in a way because it just gives Petco $$$$$.Please do not buy any pets from here. Most of them carry illnesses.This is just so sad to see how the animals are stored and in a small spaces. I pray for Petco to shut down completely WORLDWIDE.

I'm enjoying my Vital Care Rewards at Petco. I spend a lot of money in the hobby of Aquascaping and taking care of 4 Community Fish Tanks, Petco's Vital Care Rewards Program allow me to love my new hobby and saving money at the same time. The Staff is very Friendly and Helpful at The San Bruno and Sloat Store in SF.

I had a really good experience here when we suddenly were taking care of a 1.5 week old kitten and had no idea what to do. Gabe helped us get the last kitten bottle available. He went above and beyond to answer my questions and provide guidance and reassurance in caring for a young kitten. It was a really positive experience and helped ease the anxiety of caring for the kitten.

They nicked my dog while grooming and they took no responsibility to be able to make things right but instead tried to minimize my dogs pain by saying that she didn't feel it. Now apart from that, I really don't appreciate them for slandering me saying that I was "hostile" which in fact I wasn't. I've always been respectful up until that so called manager Gabriel who I have never spoken to until new years is saying that none of the groomers wanted to see me and my dog which is ironic considering that I've only met them once on one occasion. I really do miss that other groomer Sierra since she was the nicest one out of all of them. Plus some of the employees looked a little ratchet but I've never questioned them or their choices since this is what "they" call a "vibe" when it's really more of a vibe kill or low vibrational. Also you need to clean your store instead of trashing it. I will be taking my dog elsewhere where my business is appreciated. Thanks but I don't need your so called services anyway. Since y'all haven't even shown an ounce of professionalism on your part.

The communication between employees here really sucks. I waited an hour in line for vetco, For them to tell me that my dog's prescription was expired and he needed to be there for them to update it and give him his prescription. The vet assistant told a Petco employee to tell me that my dog needed to be there, but she never came over and said anything. Walks past me a few times never said anything. They just allowed me to stay in line for an hour for nothing. Horrible communication between employees horrible.

I have been calling the grooming department all day. No one answers. There was a message to book an appointment easily online. When I tried, I was unable to book an appointment for a nail trim. It said if I need a nail trim to just stop by. My dog has been really sick lately and has been struggling with going up and down the stairs. I go through hell to get her in the car, park, and walk into the groomers. No one is available. She's on lunch, not returning for nearly an hour. If your website says to just come down, you should make a note of lunch hours. Or answer the darn phone. This did not have to happen.

Very poor terrariums of little bearded dragons. All covered in feces!!! Bearded dragons are extremely clean creatures, they would never poop close to their food. It must be very uncomfortable for them in there. It is painful to see this kind of mistreatment of these little guys. Better care and cleaning should be provided at this facility.

Brought my pup in to get groomed and we were met with the nicest staff. Petco doesn't discriminate against bully breeds unlike other big name pet stores. Not going anywhere else to get my boy groomed ever again, we'll just go to PetCo all the time. Even the staff inside the store were very nice. One even gave my excitable pup a small treat while I was settling the grooming bill.

Came here for vetco which is available on Saturday to get vaccinations and other needs meds for an affordable price. The place is clean but staffs are usually not available so expect waiting if you need some help.

Very nice pet store, with pet essential and even harder to find supplies. Purchased the aquarium and all plants for our betta tank here and it’s looking great. Staff very helpful too.

My dog was held hostage for HOURS! The groomers were EXTREMELY rude, aggressive and racist. Athena and Elena and Gabriel were yelling and kicking out when my mom tried to pay for the haircut and pick the dog up when he was ready they flipped us off when we were leaving and called us “you people” multiple times. I can’t believe this type of treatment when I’ve been getting all my dogs groomed for years with Petco. Will be taking matters to higher level and escalating it.

Got there when it opened. No shopping carts. Asked the girl at the front. She said we only have one and it looked like she was using it for store stuff. I asked for help because I needed several large bags of dry food. She said sure. I decided to just get one smaller bag and headed to checkout. I tried to check out but another employer came up and started talking to the cashier about store numbers. No one acknowledged I was standing there trying to checkout. I literally waited for 2 min while they were talking and finally asked if I could checkout so I could leave. Neither said a word to me or looked at me, she just clicked something so I could pay. I paid and left. It’s would have been great if they would’ve said I’ll be right with you or just one minute. Or anything to acknowledge that I was standing there to finalize checking out but nothing. Two stars because even though the customer service was terrible, I’ve had worse. I will not be returning to this store. I’ll head over to Pet Club in Colma instead.
