The service here is absolute garbage. I asked this young hispanic guy in lumber to cut some plywood that I was buying and asked him to cut smooth side down to prevent splinters and also to cut off the side with a big chunk missing. He said he would "just cut it however the f--- he was going to cut it and it would be fine" He cut it so that it had splinters on the wrong side and left the chunk side on, exactly how I asked him not to.I asked customer service if they would give me a discount and I just got this shoulder shrug attitude. They did give me 10% off for a shotty job but I can't believe they let there employees treat customers like that.

I don’t know who is responsible to thank , but we’ve seen some amazing improvement in customer service! There’s a blonde at the Returns area who is absolutely warm and welcoming! We have always wanted that! That’s how we rate businesses, how their employees act with customers! Congratulations who is having good one on ones with your staff, it shows! If you look at my review 2 years ago, I left maybe 2 stars! Anyways, well done San Bruno location! We appreciate you all and your hard work!

I went on Sunday 3/16 to go purchase one of their 3 gun safe that was on clearance that was 1049$ and went down to 681$. No one there was able to get the safe open and all of them were missing parts and scratched. I went to the pro desk and no one was there so I was asked to go to the window and door desk. The man there couldn't open the safe and told me to go look the specs up online and was on the phone trying to contact a manager for a half hour. He kept insisting that they weren't missing any parts and he is a expert in metals and that the safe having scratches could have the scratches buffed out. I didn't have time to wait for him to further take me on a runaround so i left. I called and asked to speak to a manager on 3/17 and was on hold for a hour and no answer. I came back today on 3/22 and the only one left was serverly damaged. Id have bought one before if someone was able to assist me and help me open it. I was assisted by a woman at the pro desk who was able to open it and found it was missing parts. She called a manager and the manager said they could sell it to me for 900$ because it costs 1050$. It was clearly marked for 681$. Now ive been taken on another run around and have had nearly 3bhours of my time wasted. I've been a long time customer of this lowes location and have been going here for the last 20 years. I'll never purchase anything from this lowes again. The staff is confused and has wasted so much of my time it's ridiculous. It's unfortunate but I'll have to go shop at home depot instead now.

Return policy not honored here. Associates and managers claim defective power tools (drywall screw gun in this case) can’t be returned if opened. This information is nowhere to be found in their written return policy.

I have been waiting to speak to a manager at the San Bruno location since 630pm.First he was on the other phone.After calling again he was with a customer.I called back a few more times and I was transfer and the phone just rang and then the hold music came on.After calling for the 8th time since 630pm, I was told he was on lunch .It's now 8:22pm and how would a store manger take a lunch at @ 822pm.Called back again and they said they have clue if Daniel was even in the store and to call back later.Clearly customer service is the freaking horrible at this location.Go spend your hard earn dollars at a store that cares.Stay away from San Bruno location .

I walked out empty handed as I had over a $600 order the other night as was told by 2 Cashier’s talking about what time they were going to be off at. ” Sir self check out is open” as there was no traditional check out’s open. I didn't understand why or what they were doing that these 2 capable and able cashiers from checking me out the traditional way. I Don't get paid to check my own self out when they aren't doing their job. I understand Lowe’s is trying to do away with the customer service but I found my self the next morning buying my whole order from a supply house that actually went over and above my explanations in customer service.

Thanks to the knowledgeable & helpful clerk in the paint department at the San Bruno, CA, store, I got the samples of Cabot exterior stain I needed. She greeted me kindly & let me know how long it would take to find & prepare the colors (2 minutes). My three little cans were clearly labeled, then put in the perfect box for safe transport. I asked about cleanup & disposal of any leftover stain, and received excellent answers for both of my concerns.

Great staff very helpful especially Dandy, might be wrong with the spelling but he is an outstanding member of Lowes you can rely on him and take his word. Overall everything is good in this store.

Order never showed up.. even after waiting 4 weeks (ordered 10/10). Constant delays if ordering large home appliances. Was on phone every other day with Lowe’s corporate and the vendor itself. Nobody takes accountability and this Lowe’s rarely picks up their phone. (My hold times today on 11/7 surpassed 10min each time I called).They have massive internal communication issues where they don’t keep track of orders and nobody is accountable for online shipments. The order gets shipped to the RDC (distribution center) and that’s it - they just hope that somehow it makes it to the customer in time from there. For me and likely many others, it didn’t. My order was delayed 3-4x and I’m still waiting for it as I write this review.This company and their senior/executive management team is not ready for the coming decade of direct to consumer online sales.Maybe management will finally pay attention when stock prices fall as investors realize they’re paying an undeserved premium at Lowe’s for a service worse than Home Depot’s or Costcos.***UPDATE*** I finally got someone on the line, who may be a manager or senior staff (after cycling thru about a dozen unhelpful ones) who got me the right information, and even walked down to receiving to physically locate my elusive shower door order. Will update review fully after delivery.

Went in try and order windows and doors and was greeted with a terrible attitude from Ruben in the Millworks department. He made me feel like I wasn’t important and basically did nothing to help me order windows for my house. I left the store and drove to Home Depot and ordered from them instead who gave me way better service. Do not order windows or doors from this Lowe’s.

Im sharing this video because l filled it was un fear the way this person was treated from lowest security guy, ( at first l didn’t know that lowest parking lot it was private property until l call the police station with that been said) l understand parking lot is private and vendors don’t have a right to sell goods on the parking lot and the security have the right to go after vendors and ask them to leave, but when l saw the white guy harassing this vendor the way he was doing it it wasn’t appropriated he pushed him with is cart l decided to confront him about this harass he denied but l got really mad and l told him if the vendor is doing same illegal call the police he attempted to can but he stop him self so l decided to call and make the report by calling the station. This two guys were also harassing me asking why l was defending this guy if that wasn’t my business like l told l don’t want to talk to you lets way for the police to came but the afro male keeps bugging me and l decided to wait for the police officer after the officer arrived this two bullish got really quiet, l told them l was going to post them on social media to stop the harassment and give same respect to honest people who try to survive selling and not stealing anything. (Police Officer was really professional much respect for the San Bruno Police Department

Worst store ever. Not sure how it even stays operating. Scared to use their bathrooms. Highly unsanitary, dirty, filthy. I'm inclined to report them to higher instances. Besides that, they screwed up our range delivery, after 2 weeks of waiting for it, so we had to request a refund. We called their local store customer service. .. omg what a disaster... phone rang for about 2 min, the the call dropped. I tried two more times. No One EVER ANSWERS THEIR PHONES. Stay away from this store, or you'd be in trouble. Will never ever come back to this s***t hole..

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the delivery service. Their behavior was unprofessional and downright rude. It seemed like they had no intention of providing good customer service.First, they attempted to take a part we had already purchased, which was unacceptable. When I asked them about using the new dryer vent, they became hostile and suggested a refund instead of accommodating our request. It took unnecessary effort to get them to comply.Furthermore, we requested a simple adjustment to the washer's door direction, which was apparently within their scope during installation. Shockingly, they refused and instructed us to call a technician separately. This was contrary to what we were told during the purchase.To top it off, they claimed there was no power in the outlet without even making a reasonable attempt to troubleshoot. Within seconds of their arrival, they abruptly left the house. I later discovered that the issue was merely with the power button on the extension, something they could have easily resolved.Their abrupt departure without addressing our concerns was the final straw. I have never encountered such an impolite and unprofessional delivery team in my entire life. This experience left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with the company's service.

If you’re disabled stay FAR away from this location. They have zero concept of what it means to cater to those with physical disabilities. Aisles are blocked, the garden center is not accessible, disabled parking is blocked with pallets and pallets of soil, plants and other supplies.JOHN the Manager is inconsiderate, rude, and crass. I placed an online order for which I received an email that it was ready for pickup. When we got to the store it was a CIRCUS, and our items were out of stock. Capacity is not their strong suit.Because all the walkways are blocked I had to use my mobility device in the street to gain access to the main entrance. Employees don’t wear masks and spew excuse after excuse for their BAD service.If you need assistance, accessibility, and service DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE.The management blatantly dismisses the needs of the disabled.

Update: Lowe's relented and agreed their interpretation of the return policy was wrong so I was able to make the return. Thank you to Lowe's for recognized their mistake.

Depends on the workers but garden center employees are the best most knowledgeable and hard working folks. Unfortunately almost all of the guys restocking inside have been zero help when I had a question or was looking for something. I’ve also heard some very unprofessional language and behavior among some of the younger employees while on duty lately. Doesn’t affect me but you notice these things.

I despise going here (all Lowes, not just this one). I sometimes unfortunately have no choice since it's the closest real hardware store. Sometimes the employees are nice and helpful. Usually customer service likes to play dumb for the simplest asks. skip the arguing and ask for a manager. Also, they need to start offering actual exchanges for products that are damaged/don't work - same for same. Stop hassling people unnecessarily.

Thought I'd give Lowes a try to buy co alarms, light bulbs, door lock, plunger, extension cord, etc. and have a key made. My wife asked customer service to page an associate to have the key made while I take off to gather up the above supplies and window shop a bit. How long can it possibly take to have a key made...apparently an eternity at Lowes. I returned to the key machine with all the goods where my wife was waiting. No associate. Wife asks customer service again to page an associate. Very few customers in the store I might add. Wife comes back to the key machine to wait for an associate. So I take off to look at some hand tools. I come back and still no associate. I tell my wife we'll just go to HD as usual. So we drop everything and leave. No more Lowes for us. Nice store but zero customer service.

I was planning to do some shopping in Lowes today but I have a very bad food poisoning after the lunch. The manger really take care for me and check out time to time and make sure I am ok in the bathroom after I vomit badly. She even gave me bottle of water and Electrolyte Drink as I requested.When I want to paid for those drinks the cashier told me I don’t have to pay. More than that. The other staff Kim (Sorry that is the time I start have to recall name in my brain) walk me out the store and keep checking if I am ok, while I am waiting my friend to pick me up. I feel so grateful for the staffs I met today and help me out. Thank You for all your help. I will keep shopping in Lowes San Bruno

Do NOT get your exterior doors installed by Lowe’s. After our installation in July, the doors wouldn’t open and close smoothly, and the installers left a huge clump of glue above the door (in photo). We kept calling and emailing Ruben (our sales contact at the store) regularly over the next few months and even reached out directly to the installer at one point, but they all were utterly unresponsive after a series of empty promises and no one EVER ended up coming back to our house to fix the problem. Avoid at all costs!

I would like to give 0 star if possible. Ordered online in Oct 2022 and partial of them were truck delivered. Then no update for remaining ones. Suddenly I got email that the remaining ones will be delivered on Dec and I waited a whole day but did not get anything. I waited for another day, nothing. The third day, the purchase history showed that I have received it (update on 2AM :< in the record). Talked with online agent, found no truck delivery at all. Made 10+ online chat (agent escalated to the store manager) and 5+ phone calls (no one picks the call ever). What a scam! Worst experience with Lowes especially with Lowes San Bruno Store. Please stay away with this store!!Update on Mar 4, 2023This issue has been raised up with a case #07266466 in Jan 2023. I was told that I would get the response with 24-48 hours everytime I asked for an update. Until 2-3 escalation, I got a call from the Lowes San Bruno store on ~Jan 11. She claimed that she was NOT the store manager but she confirmed 1. the store would like to send the order the next day 2. the store manager would call me to explain the scam - why the order was marked as delivered but actually not.For #1, I got a call from the truck delivery guy said nothing in stock and no delivery. Even it cannot be delivered because of oos, no email, no phone, no communication at all.For #2. never got the call from the store manager. I believe the store manager was not able to answer my questions. What a shame.Today (Mar 4), I chatted the lowes agent again online and got to know that the case was closed since it was delivered (to be delivered on Jan 12). What a funny story. Now the case is reopened and escalated. And again I am told to wait for another 24-48 hours.Update on Mar 11, 2023No surprise - no calls from Lowes. Chatting with Lowes agent again...
