My dog gets a bit anxious coming to the vet, but the team always does an amazing job handling her. VA Amanda was patient and made sure Amy was comfortable during her visit. Staff is always very helpful and informative. Gives me joy when the staff stop by and greet my baby girl. Thank you for being awesome and gentle to my Amy ❤️

This is the 2nd time I've brought our 13 yr old dog here for medical issues they do an outstanding job in making sure I know all the options and don't make you do or press anything on you! Definitely recommend.Thank you

I don't have great experiences with vets, so I was very hesitant and hopeful that this place would be different. Different as in a place that cares more about the beloved pets than the Almighty dollar. I'm gonna keep this short because I have too many negative experiences and $1000s of dollars gone with this place to detail. Not only are they completely disorganized, they also do the typical GOUGING you for your money, while taking care of your pet is much further down the line of what they care about. So incredibly disappointing. And P.S. I was getting medication filled at this clinic (apoquel) $113 for a two week supply. The staff said 'they heard Costco was a little cheaper," after 6+ months of filling it there. It was $51 at Costco.

During a difficult time the vet and staff were very compassionate and supportive. They treated my dog as if she was their own. I will definitely go back to them if needed and highly recommend.

My cat is 8yrs old and has been coming here since he was born! I've had a good experience by far and I hope it continues like this. I took my boy to get his teeth cleaned and they did such a good job! I spoke to Amanda (I believe that was her name) she wears glasses and has short hair. She is so kind, and has always performed amazingly with my cat and other pets ☺️ I do believe this is a good veterinarian clinic, people complain about the cost but all vets are expensive.... They have helped me understand everything that I'm going to pay for and things have been more affordable here than in other places...

The Veterinarian was so wrong he took off my dog molar I did not tell him to do so and my dog couldn't properly eat anymore I feel so bad about my dog. I Recommend you guys not to come to this Romie Lane Pet Hospital.

My son's dog needed to see a vet due to a wound on her paw. Romie Lane Pet Hospital got her in immediately. There was no wait for the emergency visit. The staff were extremely kind and professional. Got her all mended up and scheduled for a follow up appointment as well. Reasonably priced, even for an emergency visit, which I was very impressed with. I strongly recommend. Thank you all for your help that day!!

Seems like they’re in it for money, not the care of your pet. Walk-ins aren’t accepted and good luck making an appointment for the week of. Overall they do there job after charging you $55 per examination. In this day and age you’d think a simple video consultation would be feasible. The clinic doesn’t offer much besides wellness checks and if they do find something you’ll get sent to some nearby emergency vet cause they offer little to no services in building. The staffs nice in person but over the phone they’re quick to dismiss or rush you off the line . Its just work to them, no passion :( The internet is more helpfulEdit: No phone call on my part is necessary, the review says everything you need to know . Do better 🤷‍♂️

Dr. Dominguez is a great veterinarian. He was able to see both my kitties when they needed to be seen. The staff at Romie Lane Pet Hospital are caring and kind. I have been going here since I have owned my cats. I recommend this vet for your pet too. I also recommend pet insurance. It is very sad when people cannot pay to care for their animals due to the bill. I have Spot pet insurance. Romie Lane pet hospital is always covered. Now I don't have to worry about money when my pet is sick.

They took Very good care of my cat Lola. She had to have surgery maybe like 3 months ago. And then Monday I actually had to cut her down. And they were quite caring and loving stuff is deaf even the doctor. Thank you so much.

I want to alert all animal lovers to never ever take your pet to this vet.Took my dog in 2 weeks ago and she was not feeling well and stopped eating. Blood work revealed elevated liver enzymes which they ignored. My dog should have been put on IV fluids, but because they “could not help her” they said nothing could be done! She died in 4 days. Took my other 2 dogs to another vet and they stated she should have been put on IV fluids. They killed my dog and I trusted them.

This place is small and I liked it. They had an appointment for my dog in under a week when other places were going to take a month. Everyone was super nice, prices are incredibly reasonable, I still walked out with a $500 bill, but I got everything my dog needed. To those saying they are “pushy” I mean they are offering what’s recommended, you can accept or decline services.

We LOVE Romie Lane and even followed Dr. Dominguez here from Toro. He takes time with each pet, discusses all the options and really makes us feel heard. I see some people frustrated that they cant get same day appointments and I am confused as that seems to be the norm at vet offices. I have never had a problem with Romie Lane and all of my pups are grateful for them!

I started taking my dog back in Dec 2021 because he needed surgery to remove a cyst on his neck and I wanted his teeth cleaned as well. All the staff I encountered were really nice and Dr Dominguez was kind and listened to everything I needed to say. I know he cares about people’s pets because during Angel’s dental cleaning, they chose to stop the procedure due to issues while Angel was under anesthesia. I wasn’t charged for the teeth that they were able to clean and the cyst removal went great. Angel’s health and well being was considered top priority, and that resonates most with me.This clinic is busy. While some may complain they don’t take walk ins, it’s literally because they can’t. That’s why we have 2 24 hr ER vets in the area. Proper care can’t be given to pets if the staff are overbooked. Another example as to how much Romie Lane cares about the animals they treat.

I have been in this clinic since Dr ponder was here, everything was great but since the take over it has gone down alot. Every time I need to renew my dogs prescription they take for ever. I have to constantly be calling for updates on medication and they never return my calls. I will be looking for new vet services.

Don’t be late for your appointment!!! Not even 1 minute. They will not make an exception. The staff is insensitive. My husband was a few minutes (by few I mean 3 minutes) for our pets appointment. My husband spoke to a manager explaining the situation about our dog having an abscess that needed to be addressed. We were waiting for this appointment for over 2 weeks. They don’t care about your pets. They push vaccines and other services your pet doesn’t need. They are not cheap!! They charge you for a Tech to see your pet! Not even the Vet a tech. Go somewhere else people!!!

I took my little dude Oliver to get neutered. The staff was great really attentive on all my questions. The reception team was awesome they help me pretty quick despite the fact they had just opened and it was busy already, they also made me like I was in good hands. The whole staff made me feel welcomed and felt like they cared for me and my little dude. The assistant that brought my cat out at the end was super informative reviewing what I needed to do so my cat could get better soon. Over all I was super happy with the service.I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs help with their furry friends.

I took my new puppy for his first exam. Dr. Wolford spent almost an hour with him, checking him head to toe. She was patient and took the time to ask any questions I had. Our last family dog who passed in 2016 was also a regular at Romie Lane. He loved going to the vet and seeing all the girls. It was a good time for him. The quality is always great from Romie Lane and their services are always thoughtful. They are always trying to help the owners with the best service for the best price. I recommend Romie lane to anyone who's looking for a vet.

We switched to Romie Lane Pet Hospital from East Lake Animal Clinic when we got a new puppy shortly after our previous dog passed away aprox 18 months ago.The service we have received here has always felt sub par. Today is a perfect example.Our <2 year old dog develope a lump yesterday (Saturday) and I called and left a message this morning (8:00) looking to get him in to have it looked at. There was no return call after they opened at 10:00am.I called at 10:30 and I was told the best they could do was get him in on Wednesday of which I declined.At this point I knew I was calling East Lake Animal Clinic as they always had a way to fit us in, they truly put their customers first.I called back to speak to a manager and to cancel the 3 upcoming appointments and the same person answered the phone.Thinking I was put on hold, I heard her talking to the doctor advising I had left a message message earlier, and that we had just spoke (failing to mention my call wasn't returned) where she advised me she could set an appointment for Wednesday or I could go to the emergency side of the practice (which was never mentioned to me).I advised her I heard her conversation with the doctor and that I was done with their establishment and I would still like a manager to call me back so I can cancel the other appointments with them.Well, it's 3 hours later, and nothing from them.Good thing I called East Lake Animal Clinic, they got me in right away and my dog is being treated as I type.

Romie Lane is the best vet in Salinas. Dr. Ponder is amazing (I haven't worked with the new Dr. yet) and the staff work very hard to go above and beyond with their service, they are very knowledgeable and answer my all my many questions easily. My baby Bella is so happy to go inside even without me because of Covid and she NEVER likes being without me. Thank you Romie Lane!

Dont ever bring your pets here. my dog coffee was going in for surgery and didnt end up needing surgery. so i still got charged for the iv bag the iv pain pills check up ultrasound etc... everything he didnt need i got charged for its over 1,000 for them to check your dogs.. already contacted some lawyers. they do scamming here trust me dont bring your pets here. justice for coffee!!!

It’s disappointing that since the new take over, this vet clinic is no longer the sensitive and family setting. Dr Dominguez is definitely not Dr Ponder and is more interesting in scamming you into treatments that are unnecessary and that were declined over the phone. You feel you are cornered and pressured into services. Romie Lane Pet Hospital was our first experience with vet care when we moved to the area, and our confidence in both our pet’s care and services were immediately secured. Once the new ownership took place, the gradual feeling of being over charged and serviced set in.

Wow I had been looking around for an appointment and it was difficult until finally I called Romie Lane Pet Hospital. The receptionist was very helpful and when I brought my puppy in the Dr. and the assistants who helped us were professional and friendly. I am pleased and will come back! Oooh and price is affordable here.
