The manager is a horrible disrespectful person, she took something away from me that I wanted to purchase. She gave me attitude and another worker too, don’t donate to this establishment they will take your donations away from buyers because they think they are worth enough to sell and they want to sell the items like as if they were new.You are better off selling your donations yourself or donating them elsewhere honestly.

I purchased a Silhouette Cameo through the "shopgoodwill" website from this location. The pictures showed that the machine was new with the original box and contents. When it arrived, the original box had been re-packed so carefully that I would not have known it was ever out of the box if not for the pictures. Based on previous experiences with other locations, I was not expecting this level of care and detail to be put into packing up the machine. My order was also sent out within two business days of the auction ending, which is much faster than other locations. I will not hesitate to bid on other items from this location!

I work there, so can't shop there. It's a good thrift store you should expect to spend at least an hr there tho. Tables are constantly rotated so I would suggest staying for at least one rotation. Lots of good stuff comes thru there. You're bound to find something cool or something you didn't even know you wanted.

I give this place 5 stars. The poor employees what they have to deal with on a daily is crazy.People running pushing just grabbing stuff throwing it in their kart right when a bin comes out. It will shock you the first time you see it. A lot of resellers hanging out. They are not even that bad. They are very selective. If you run into any customers who are just grabbing anything and putting in their kart. It won't be a good day for you. If certain customers are there you won't find cool Treasures. This one guy put like 300 movies in his kart he'll grab everything he's a trip lol. The most part its a good place. I try to make it like twice a month. Every employee that works there should get paid double whatever they are getting paid.

Let me just say this , the website says it's 99 cents a pound , then you Arrive to find out it's 2.49 a pound ..that's a huge difference. I find it some places marketing strategies are dishonest ...well this is a perfect example ..you may find some good stuff .. but you need to be patient and dig ..really dig through trash yes trash .. the thing that really bothers me . The employees that make the tables would have the humility to not put trash on the tables ...but they simply don't care. The management in the sorting section of this goodwill, only the sorting section lack the leadership skills to guide the employees to do the right thing, yes people want a good deal ..that's why they go to goodwill. The employees in the front of the outlet . They have always treated everyone fairly .. Currently they do an amazing job ...they rotate tables through out the entire day to keep everyone happy ..Kudos to Tina and her Staff. I hope this helps .. Come by you just might find some treasures !!!

This place is a JOKE! LOL! Almost ALL the staff are in cahoots with their friends & family. Especially the managers. They have their favorite people they specifically HIDE things for. Peep the books. There's a few people who loiter around the books and you occasionally catch them signing things to staff in the back. Then SUDDENLY they BREAK WILD and run to specific bins. Lolol! The staff is also very rude. Things used to be a LOT better about a year ago. BEFORE the little t-shirt ho-ho-hos... I mean T-Shirt Bros came and staff turned into Scammers. But good luck at this place. There's better.

honestly, you’ll find the best clothes here at the goodwill bins especially if your style is 2000’s/vintage. clothes reak, piled up & disorganized but all you just gotta do is get some gloves, get a cart and dig through the mountains of clothes!! i remember buying 6-7 items which were pants and tops and they were all for $14 plus coins!! its very ugly and gross and everyone goes crazy but its so worth it!!

After going to the Goodwill outlet again I was quite disappointed in the way that my friend was treated after she had an issue with somebody who had been a local who'd been there all the time he was obviously taking advantage of the fact that he was at Goodwill every day because he probably lived in Salinas and my friend was basically told that he's here everyday why do we need you I'm no longer going to be traveling to go to this Goodwill to buy anything I find their prices way too high for a company we're coming gets her inventory for free from the general public how they can go about charging the prices that they do is beyond me I remember time when this company was set up and in a position to being a tax exempt charity before it became a corporation and we're helping people who couldn't afford clothing and couldn't afford to do go to the store and buy stuff new they would go there to get it at a much cheaper price the stuff is being donated to you how you can go about charging $7 for a shirt is outrageous they should be ashamed of themselves they really should I choose to not deal with a corporation anymore salvation army and St Vincent de Paul or two very good terrible organizations that also help men and women that are poor and don't gouge and their slogan were helping people change their lives by paying the minimum wage you can't even live on that their CEOs are making hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses though imagine that

cool place. you have the usual resellers looking for vintage they are always the same usual folks, and then you have those who stock up for yard sales or vintage booths.

This place is great if you are looking to furnish your place for cheap. But watch out for other customers when you are digging through the bins. My friends purse was taken from her cart and so was jacket ATM card and phone when I wasn't looking. Other than that the employees there Rock.

Definitely a one man's trash is another man's treasure situation, emphasis on trash so bring gloves if you come here and make sure you clean everything you buy. Always some cool finds when i come here but the customers act like wild dogs. A lot of depop resellers who frequent this place so be cautious when going.

I've been twice now and it was amazing. You will find books, electronics, clothes, toys, furniture and general merchandise. If you don't like to get your hands dirty to treasure hunt this place is not for you. I loved it! I'm compulsive enough to enjoy digging through a ton of absolute garbage to find my treasures. Everything but the furniture is laid out on piled up tables. It reminds me of the dump without without the smell. Lots of people, screaming children, and feeding frenzies when they bring out a new table. It's insane, people will open a game or a puzzle and toss it to the four winds. It is insane and a total mess and like I said, I loved it.

Yuk! Mostly junk and garbage! You have to FIGHT your way through the whole time! People act like animals, it smells and it's filthy. Of as with any thriftstore you do come across a find or two. But... really? Prices are lowest here but not low then Class to Trash

If your willing to dig through crates of stuff, this is the place for you. You never know what your going to find. Currently (as of 08-17) 1.79 per pound and .99 after 10 pounds. They will make a deal on anything that weighs a lot. Super fun and fast pace.

I love love the new Goodwill in Salinas everything is a dollar a pound and they have everything you can think of and some and some, if you don't watch out you can spend your whole day in there and get lost in the mounds and mounds of treasure in the mountains and mountains of goodies they have. And if something weighs a whole lot they will weigh it by itself and give you a good price on it they will not cheat you, they have really strong big bags for your for your items they're $0.25 each and the employees are respectful and nice and it keep it clean and eat as they can. they open 7 days a week and the choices are inless

Stopped in this afternoon while in the area. I usually go to the Goodwill on Broadway in Seaside or the one in Marina. I end up spending like $60 or $80 (more than I go in expecting to spend but still way better deal than if I were to go to any other store for similar).. today I thought i was leaving with more than I planned and spending more than I planned yet again, but a whole cart full of blankets, clothes, shoes, a really nice suitcase, random stuff etc.. was a little more than $20!! Plus they have a lot more of a selection than the other Goodwill's. This is what all Goodwill stores should be like!

This review is about the Goodwill Outlet Store on Moffett St near the airport. Hours can vary without notice due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns. Current hours as of Sept 2020 are 8AM - 6PM, 7 days/wk. No children under 15 allowed. Masks must be worn. Restrooms & drinking fountains are closed. BTW, sanitary actions such as wiping carts down with disinfectant only appear to occur after store closes. Two to three times per day during business hours, the store closes for about 1/2 hour so that new tables of fresh merchandise can be brought out without causing a stampede of bargain-hunting customers. Prior to bringing out the new merchandise, all customers must check out & the front doors are closed. A new line of customers waiting to get in the store then forms. The store is limiting occupancy to about 45 people. The limit is most heavily enforced when the store first opens (or reopens). After this, admission is restricted when customers accumulate to the point that they begin to stop social distancing and/or if they exceed 4 persons per merchandise table.I personally recommend customers wear mechanic's gloves to protect their hands as they sort merchandise. These are avail for a few bucks at Harbor Freight. Unfortunately, there are often large pictures with picture-frame glass mixed in the merchandise in the roll-around tables. This glass often gets broken due to customer greed & haste. IMO, Goodwill employees should be required to put all such pictures & glass in bins dedicated to this purpose else a lawsuit is inevitable.Due to the large number of customers in the store and the nature of people jockeying to grab a bargain, social distancing is not always practiced by customers. This makes this store not as safe as a regular retail store where social distancing is more consistently followed. That said, roof-top air-conditioners (when on) provide excellent ventilation & that does help reduce the chance of infection. If you are careful to quickly back off and maintain social distance from those that encroach, especially from those that are speaking, if you don't touch your face, and if you sanitize your hands immediately after leaving, then shopping here may be OK. Experts generally agree that you usually need to be in close contact with an infected person for at least several minutes to become infected unless they directly cough or sneeze on or near you. However, talking is not that much better, so again, back away.To be a bit safer, I leave the merchandise I buy untouched in my hot dry car for about 3 days after purchase. This increases the odds that any virus on it is dead before I handle it again. I put my masks and gloves on the dashboard where they are exposed to the sun. I have several sets so I can rotate. I use a different set of PPE for the grocery store than for stores such as this.I feel sorry for the store employees as they are likely at the most at risk of COVID-19 exposure. There is very limited Plexiglas shielding at the cash registers, and employees spend a lot of time on the sales floor cleaning up merchandise that has fallen. Customers seem to enter employees' 6' social-distancing space quite freely and employees, in trying to get their work done quickly, often encroach on the six-foot space of customers. That said, I am told that to date, no employees at this location have come down sick. That is a very good sign, though some employees may have been infected but remained asymptomatic. If the pandemic worsens or if infection contact tracing ever shows this store was a COVID-19 hotspot, the health department may shut this place down until Goodwill does a major merchandising reformat. With the large number of customers churning through disorganized bins, the store currently bears more similarity to a casino or a theater concession store than it does to a retail store. Theaters and I believe casinos have been deemed not safe to reopen. If you shop here, much of the responsibility to avoid infection is on you. If this critique concerns you, this is probably not the store for you at this time.

I really love this place and the people that work here are very patient considering all the weirdos they have to deal with day in and day out. Customers can be really rude at times. But that's just people for ya. The worst thing about the Goodwill outlet is all the kids breaking things, running around, and screaming. I think Goodwill should implement an "AGE RULE" for shopping at the Outlet store. Goodwill could say "Due to safety issues no children are allowed under the age of 9.". or whatever age Goodwill feels is appropriate. This would make shopping safer and more enjoyable to all. Thank you!

Great for used items by the pound. They have limits to let people in, so there's only about 3-4 cycles per day. Bring a chair and wait in line for about 2 hours

The employees are very helpful & do the best they can to keep it clean & safe for everyone so its a great place to look for clothing, shoes, dvds, purses etc.without spending alot of cash which sometimes can be as good a shape as buying them brand new you just have to take your time & dig through it all really good...i have found some unique items as well as few valuable antiques which can be overlooked by majority of people who shop here so if you have a good eye for those sort of things you are going to definitely find way more of that here than many of the other locations and thrift stores since most of the people who go here dont look for anything other than the clothes which is the only issue many seem to have at this place...The people who work here are always courteous so i give the place & workers 5 stars...its just the selfish and inconsiderate way some people are when looking through these bins..that is what ruins it for rest of us by the way they dig it all into couple carts without letting anyone really have a chance to see aanything due to so many of them picking up huge piles at a time like hyenas and putting stuff into bins or carts etc. always taking what they want out then they inconsiderately leave all the leftovers on floor for the workers to end up having to clean after...It was hard at first to score any of the good stuff but after awhile i got tired of letting those greedy people pillage through it all like they did which i now feel isnt as bad once i stopped being too uncomfortable saying excuse me when it is necessary...i know so many timid & shy aka introverted people like myself at first will sorta feel its a bit overwhelming at first but once you start to find those awesome things all that goes away real quick...So dont let first impressions or the groups of greedy hippos ruin all the fun or lose that digger passion of sharing with one another since we all go through hard times & have bills to pay which is why i aint too proud to get my hands dirty & save me some money especially being a mom with a teenage daughter who wants all that overpriced namebrand stuff it really helps finding alot of that brand name stuff here for a dollar instead of 70-80 bucks at the mall which is why i recommend this place especially to all the parents out thereA fave place to go whenever i have any free time...Never know what great stuff im going to find next!

God my wife and I love coming here we find so many things we like , we both like a variety of items so we sometimes come out of here with multiple items . Now there have been times we have been disappointed and haven't found much but that's like anything, we normally come out with items we definitely like .

O think this place is hazardous and if some body doesnt do some thing about it something bad is GONNA happen first of all tjeu have children running amuck all overdumping toys everv where they crowd peopleand leave toys and what ever anf block the walk ways. There even have. No discipline whatso ever also there are broken glass in all the bins which they might and could possibly injure them selves. Then the people who shop there are inconsideratePigs not listening to the employees some people grab cart full of stuff and hold them trying to sell them to you b4 they even buy them. And if they dont sell they throw them back in the bins and goodwill loses the sell these are just some of the things goin wrong i think they should not have kids in there should they be hurt and un attended which ruins every thing for everybody accept their unresponsible parents. mind you this is just a tip of the iceberg im sure im not the only one who feels this way. This place would be alot better to shop if there were rules set for the safety of everyone as well as more enjoyable.
