If you go there to vaccinate your dogs in the back with VIP pet care dont. They are really rude about everything and they mark your dogs as agressive? They mark them as aggressive just because they are frightened. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! They scare your dogs and then tell you to go to another place because they get spooked like girl-

I've always loved this store. Been coming here for many years. When brick and mortar fails to provide you with more specific pet supplies for animals like rabbits and chickens, Collier has it. Yes, they also have chickens, chicks and quail? Anyway it's an awesome store. I even found a chicken harness to attach a leash. Why did the chicken cross the road? Trick question, it didn't. It was safely leashed and with you the entire time thanks to Collier.

Showed up 20 minutes before close and they said they aren't selling anymore bales of hay for the day. I guess its pointless to show up after 5:30 but it's kinda hard when that's when you get off of work. Now my animals have to go 12+ hours without hay until I can get some in the morning. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Place seems a bit dirty but other than that this is a cool little spot for pet products. Some of the items seem dated compared to pets smart. They seemed to take cash only unless I missed the card reader, the lady up front had to grab change from a pill container, was taking awhile but service was okay.

This place has a grand selection of feeds for all kinds of farm animals.They even have a fairly good section for dogs too, I was surprised that their cat section was so small but I was able to get my cat her liter and liter box to take to my moms house that was near by.They also have chicks for sale! So cute! The dog and cat that hang out there very cute too.An older gentleman who was sitting by the door helped me get my items into my car and took my cart back which was very nice.

They are A Great in & out feed store..but if tight on money I have found many items for sale that you can get considerably cheaper at Walmart or better online period. The customer service at the cash register could use a few more smiles and show their happy to have you for a customer.. The gentleman in the back are positive and very helpful.. I would not buy fish from this store either but overall it's a quick in and out if you're just getting your feed supplies.

The staff is very friendly.. And they have food brands that aren't sold everywhere.. They sell live animals too.. Which I thought was cool. They have bunnies, chickens, mice, etc.. I do wish they had more options when it came to accessories for animals.. (i.e. collars, leashes, etc.. ) and they do have a dog that's allowed to roam the store.. I understand because it's family owned and operated.. But I wish they had a couple signs.. Or would provide a warning. My dog was recently attacked. She's okay.. With dogs nearby but not invading personal space.. But everybody has a personal preference so..

We took our new puppy into the VIP affordable pet clinic for his first shots. It's first come, first served, and stay in line? Because you can lose your chance to get seen. The line got long, really fast. The staff were professional answering all our new puppy questions. The line moved very fast. So we left there with our baby vaccinated, dewormed, and medication for heartworm to be given at home once a month. We also had our next visit scheduled and now I that we have a better understanding about potty training, biting, diet, and appropriate toys. We are all set, to take on the world, with our new baby, Keno. I am proud for being a responsible pet owner and I love this little guy.....

After driving around Salinas for 2 hours looking for pet med for my dog. Everywhere was out of stock. Walked in to Collier and boom they have the med sitting right there behind the cashiers. I am just super happy we got the med, and the cashier was super friendly and informative.

Great customer service and the owner is so kind and friendly. I also love Chico their dog. I found what I needed and at a fair price, and they helped me take the heavy purchace to my vehicle. Also I once walked in into a stressful situation and to be honest, my respect to the cashier who maintained calmed as he was needed in two places at once. For all customers who get frustrated, annoyed, or even mad about a situation and think the one behind the register is in a mood, you shud try to understand each other specially because being behind the register or being a worker is not easy.

My daughter was buying our dog food online. I went to Collier's to see if they had Natural Balance for large breed. They did and at the exact same price as the online company. They even held the last bag for me to pick up the next day. They have vet clinics on Saturday and Sunday. I feel we should support our local businesses. I will buy dog food and any other supplies I need from them from now on.

Love this Feed Store! The owners are awesome, they have everything you would need for your smallest to largest pet or livestock. We're from Hollister, but often drive here instead of our local feed store. Last week my husband had a Dr. Appt. and the parking lot was typically full, so I parked right in front of Collier Feed & Pet Supply. Sorry Salinas, it's the only place I felt safe! So, THANK YOU COLLIER FAMILY!!! ✌😍

I 've always been treated with respect especially by the owner, tom. Very helpful and patient as I always have questions . Alfalfa hay has always been good quality . Lots of products for dog and cats. Thank you Collier feed I'll keep coming back!!

Im rating one star because I am extremely concerned about the birds they have there. One of the Cockatoos was missing tons of feathers (usually caused by the stress of being in a cage , birds will pull out their own feathers causing them great pain). The cages had minimal toys if any at all , definitely not enough to provide the adequate mental stimulation these birds need. A review written by someone else expressed concern for the birds saying they needed to be rescued. This prompted a response from the store manager ( Eduardo) who maintains the birds are well taken care of. He said the cages are cleaned twice a day and that they run freely in the store after closing time. The thing is cockatoos need more than a clean cage. They bond, interact and form relationships. Letting them run loose in a pet store without supervision can be dangerous for a bird. On a different note, I saw a man at the counter order and pay $10 or $15 for a white dove. The dove was brought to the register from the back of the store in a tiny "lunch" paper bag. That dove probably was someone's lunch. Selling live animals to anyone and not even knowing if they know how to take care of the animal properly is simply wrong , careless, and irresponsible.

It’s a small moms and pops store. a bit dirty in the aquatics section. But what bothered me the most was the lack of care of 3 amazing parrots pushed off to the side 2 cockatoos and a amazon green, and they are not for sale.. shame on you guys. THESE BIRDS NEED RESCUE!!

Youngster working there 2day was really helpful but the lady their wasent helping at all.had a problem with my dog youngster was willing 2give her the shot but the lady with her bad ViBES& all was making it seem imposible so yeah wish i would of gotten bouth their names.one (youngster)2 let Him know i apreciate all the help...took his time 2show me how i was going 2aply shot,& the OLDER Lady let HER KNOW...lady ur hella rude! My puppy has a spot on his leg, and also needed his 2nd shots of the puppy vaccines? I drove, by Saturday afternoon and the line was so long, it would had been hard for me to stand in that line for hours to get my puppy checked. So I said to myself, I would make a phone call and find out when and where the next affordable clinic would be?? Later that evening, I saw the van for the Veterinary Clinic (affordable and traveling pet care) at the hotel across from my grandma's house, so I asked where they would be the next day?? The lady unloading the van at the hotel said, Sunday at Collier's between 9 and 1. I was one of the first in line to be seen by the Vet. the next day. They weighed my little guy, he received his 2nd shots and we also were instructed to call a different Veterinarian about the spot on his leg, and a date for his 3rd puppy shot. I paid $42 for the visit. Wow, what a deal.......1. It was a Sunday, and I didn't have to pay for an emergency visit to the vet on a weekend?2. The spot was looked at and although it needs to be seen again, my concerns were addressed.3. I couldn't had beat the cost of this visit anywhere else, in this county, on a weekend day?4. My wait in line was minimal, care professional and Covid guidelines practiced or followed.5. The shots and visit was affordable, and the best price I have ever paid.6. Amazing service, I would highly recommend that anyone needing to get puppy vaccines or their family pets checked, go to one of these clinic's the process is simple??Call to find a location for where they are going to be, and the times that your pet can be seen. Go and wait in line, signs are in place to guide you. The technician comes and gets yours and your puppies information about what your visit is about? Your puppy gets seen and shots are given. Then you pay for the services received, get follow up information or instructions of care, schedule a appt for next visit.Thank you for the efficiency of your service and for the care that we received from your services that day, I am a very greatful client and will diffinitely be going back again and again....

In my opinion, I've never had a good experience with this company. They're clerks are very rude and never want to help me. I wanted to return some chicks that I bought the day before, and they told me that I can't return them because I picked them up more than twice. They said "I don't want to sell you anymore pets here if that's how you're going to treat them". I'VE SHOPPED HERE FOR OVER FOUR YEARS and tell me to not buy your stuff. This is probably the first and Last time I'm going to buy pets at your store if I'm treated like this. I don't want to sound selfish but, the lady disrespected me and offended me.
