Our kids wanted a hamster, so we went to PetSmart on 1738 Watt Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825. A kind lady, Candie, was awesome. She explained everything to us and told us many helpful facts, that it is better not to buy a pair of hamsters because after a while they can eat each other. She let us pet all hamsters and one bit her. She showed us chinchillas, explained their behavior, and let us pet them as well.  Then, because our son was hesitating what to take and decided to see cats in their store, Candie let us pet all cats. We left the store completely satisfied with our experience there and with knowledge we got from Candie.So, now we are waiting for our kids' decision about what pet to choose.

We’ve brought our 80lb pup here for grooming twice now. They’ve done a really great job both times - his coat is soft and silky, he smells great (and not sickly sweet like some other groomers return him), and he looks the same but better. I never question what my pet will look like when I retrieve him, which is the piece of mind you want! They also validate services and confirm focus areas or what to skip, much appreciated! They do take ~3 hours, so factor that in if you’re booking a later appointment or have other plans.

Besides having great products,I especially like the fact that if you can find a product somewhere else cheaper they will match the same price for that same product in their store.

I love this PetSmart. Friendly, attentive, helpful staff. Pets to adopt, and a huge amount of products to choose from while shopping.Great discounts, and you can't beat the cute impromptu photoshoots! We've ran in for hamster or dog food throughout the year and randomly found these amazing sets ready for action!🎬📸

After hearing from my mom about how great they are here, I signed up my very dramatic and sassy husky to get groomed. Kinsey did an amazing job with her, and was so patient and kind. My pup came home happy as ever and looking great!!

I was able to go into a pet hospital and get expert feedback on the fifth of my dogs E-collar. The lab even gave me extra gauze to wrap the proper E collar for my dogs dental. The dental wasn't even done at their office.

The store looks and smells clean. The isles are neat and price tags are easy to read. The location of products is categorized by pet type, making it easy to find the things you need quickly. The employees are friendly and do not hesitate to help you out if you ask, also they will approach you in a friendly way if you look lost or perplexed as I did when I was at the location. The vet clinic they have on site is Banfield the staff was friendly in the area and didn't mind me sitting down with my 3 week old puppy for a few minutes while I bottle-fed her. The only negative comment I have is that they are overpriced compared to other retail stores such as Walmart. I was shopping for newborn puppy supplies and needed replacement milk which was priced at $24.99 whereas at Walmart the same product is over %50 cheaper priced at $11.49. That is pretty significant if you ask me. Other than the high prices, my experience was overall a good one I would recommend to my family and I would shop here again, if I need an item specific to this store

I take my dog to the Banfield Pet Hospital here. There is one doctor that is perfect and one that tries to sell everything he can to get you to spend more money. I also bought my fire bellied toads here that I absolutely love

Lauren G at the PetSmart in Arden did the most fabulous job on my pup Winston. For background Winston is a mini labradoodle who was COVERED in mattes... I was extremely concerned that this was going to be an unpleasant experience for him and possibly not doable. Lauren was able to remove every single matte, even the ones inside his ears and it was all done SAFELY!! He has no sensitive spots or cuts from shaving and I could not be more appreciative. And a plus he still looks adorable:) So impressed with the group here at PetSmart.

Always a pleasant experience going inside of this Petsmart. Friendly staff with faces you recognize. Big shout out to Brian the groomer who does an amazing job with my baby Nalas grooming. It's nice to feel valued as a customer.

I really like this PetSmart. It isn't the largest or newest location, but the staff more than makes up for that. They're knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.The selection of products and pets is excellent.They regularly have cats available for adoption on Saturdays.Their selection of freshwater aquarium fish and tanks is excellent. I'll add pics of the store, but for now I've added the aquarium we purchased and stocked from this local PetSmart.The tags on the fish tanks are very clear so you can. Choose the fish that will work best for your aquarium.I've seen dog training classes meeting at this location as well. It's a great neighborhood pet store with staff that know and care about animals. They can help you find the right pet or the right things for your pets.

Lauren did Spicy’s first grooming. Poor girl was all matted and flea infested. Lauren did an amazing job and was slow and gentle with our baby girl. She treated her for the fleas and took care of her! Definitely will recommend and come back! Thank you so much for all the info and advice!

Always me and my Cane Corsa's favorite place to shop. The staff ALWAYS GREETS YOU,and the store is ALWAYS clean. We go to Banfield and the Grooming department as well; Diva gets her nails painted and pampered...she loves it! Totally An All-In-One great experience! Definitely going back, as you should as well 😊

I had my cat groomed at the Pet Smart store in Watt Ave and Alta Arden. I was impressed with the care my pet was handled, the friendliness of staff and in particular of the groomer. I was a little concerned because it was my cat's first time since I adopted him, not sure how he would handle a bath, but he did just fine.

Very nice people. They always welcome you and make sure you dont need help finding anything. I adopted a kitten there yesterday and she came with a bunch of coupons, even a coupon for a free big bag of her favorite kitty food. She was only $75 and came dewormed, microchipped, and spayed, and even had her first shots and all her medical records. So realistically she was free after all she came with. They treat all the animals with such care and it's great to be around such positive energy. Love my sweet girl Penelope.

Let's face it, your pet matters! Tons of stuff, and you do not have to wait for it to come in the mail, though you may find it cheaper to get replacements/ refills there.
