Firstly, the fish department and all the animals in the store looked healthy and happy. I was very happy to hear and see that the employees here go the extra mile to make sure the pets come first. Marina helped me pick out some new aquatic plants and helped educated and guide me. Great customer service, and will be back! Thank you to the whole team.

I went on 6/18/23 around 10 A.M. I was picking up supplies for my first kitten. She’s only 7 weeks old and I needed to grab formula for her. The woman who was working the register helped me pick out the right one and was very helpful! Thanks a bunch for your assistance.

Came in today to browse/plan for adopting a little scaled buddy in the future; leopard gecko or breaded dragon. Associate Nick approached me and offered assistance, and did he. He was very kind, patient, answered all of my questions, as well as another young customer browsing the same reptile terrariums. He asked to excuse himself to assist the front end, and promptly returned. I am very satisfied with his knowledge, care, and professionalism. I am definitely coming back once I am able to finally commit to getting my new buddy.

I just moved from OC to Sacramento. Our dogs needed a good bath, and we decided to try this place out.We ended the grooming facility, and there was a bit of a wait, but the staff was friendly and were able to accommodate our 2 small dogs even though we didn't have an appointment.We had our dogs get a full bath, with nail trimming, eat cleaning, and teeth brushed. After a couple of hours, our dogs were ready.There was a bit of confusion on the pick-up time. I thought a call or text would be sent when the dogs were ready, but only a text letting us know that the dogs were going to be ready in 30 minutes was sent. We waited an additional 30 mins and never got a final text to pick up our dogs.Either way, the dogs had a great time, and they were clean and ready for dinner when we picked them up.The staff was super sweet and took their time with our dogs. I highly recommend Rowan and her colleagues. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the other co worker's name that took care of our dog.

Staff was amazingly supportive. I was shocked of the price, although I have shopped here for years. I only had $11.00 bucks for bird food, their was not to much choices over $11-30bucks. I asked for help from staff, she showed me to go on my phone to the Petco website and price match and boom we were able to purchase bird food for my daughter’s parakeets. Very helpful and professional they will definitely see us again! Well done staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The cashier/clerk/customer service member whatever you refer to them as was very nice. I parked out back because I had my dog with me and he started howling when I walked away, another worker was out there doing stuff and comforted my dog which was nice to hear/see. All in all a great experience.

IMPORTANT PLS READ MAY SAVE YOU FROM BEING SCAMMED!!!! I’ve shopped at this place for years, today I went in for a dog ramp for my pup who just got spayed. The floor had multiple ramps to offer, I chose one with the tag that matched the name and description of item showing the price $76. I purchased and asked for a receipt (something I never do) and was charge $108 for the ramp! I went back in spoke with same cashier who said they would refund me my money and honor the price.After waiting for them to go check and correct the wrongly priced ITEMS (cause both ramps on that shelf were priced wrong and placed wrong) they say my new price is $89. THEY REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR PRICE EVEN AFTER I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD (they have a price match policy, would this not apply?!) !ON TO THE SCARY PART! I’ve come to this location so many times in the last 5 yrs and hardly ever check my receipts and now can’t even imagine how many times this has happened to me or is happening to YOU.CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS THEY MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE PRICES FROM MONTHS (IF NOT YRS) BACK!!!!!I will never go back and not on some “Karen” stuff but the fact that idk how many times this has happened and I’ve turned a blind eye.FALSE ADVERTISEMENT MUCH?!

The staff here are nice and helpful. The store is usually clean and mostly stocked.My only complaint is about the Beta fish. The poor prisoners just sit in tiny cups till they die. Can't we do better..?

Asked a customer service agent about a product I saw on Facebook. She directed me to a similar product that was half the price. At checkout the cashier informed me if the product didn’t work and there was half let I could bring it back without the receipt.so helpful! Thank you!

Arrived at Petco to purchase treats for my elderly dog, she enjoys her treats, she's blind and has been blind since birth, she was a rescue. This Petco promotes COVID protection, masks, and social distancing. They have a robust section of pet supplies at reasonable prices. This review is for grooming services. Have taken my 50 pound dog to this location for over a year and have had 2 different groomers who were really great with my dog. Recently had a new groomer at this location and on the 2nd visit was told my dog can no longer be groomed at this location because he’s ‘too excited and the store is too busy’. Was charged full price for this groom when the tail wasn’t done at all and the fur by one ear is completely chopped. I understand dogs can be wiggly but to be told we can no longer go here and be charged full price when the groom was not completed was disappointing. The previous 2 groomers never verbalized any issues with his excitement so we are surprised to have been told to take our dog elsewhere when we have been customers for over a year at this location.

Want to love Petco - but I can't. Their website says they have items in stock and then you go to buy it and they don't have it! This has happened to me at three separate Petco stores in two states over the past 4 days. Also, they only carry grain free Milk Bone as a store policy. Avoid their website, just go to the store and buy what is on the shelf. Also their dog toy section is dominated by Kong products and competitors versions of Kong products, so variety is limited.

I come here to get my pets vaccinated and some of the staff that help out in Vetco should not be working with pets .Twice I had to file a complaint on how the Vets assistants handle my non aggressive pup

We love the East Sac Petco. Great selection of food, training items, pet leads, clothing, etc. Warm and helpful staff. We especially loved McKenna when she was teaching the group dog training classes at Camelia Petco. Good grooming as well. Have to reserve grooming appointments a long time in advance since they only have 2 groomers.

This review is for Natalia in particular: she was so helpful in the fish department even when she was cleaning the tanks at the time. She is just a positive worker and professional in how she answered my totally unreasonable request:I asked if she could get a particular patterned common comet fish (feeder fish). There are HUNDREDS of these fish in the tank but my daughter wanted a particular one. Natalia told us that it was going to be almost impossible, BUT NATALIA DELIVERED!!!Not only was she able to get us the exact fish that we requested, but she did so without making us feel rushed or a bother. She had a great can do attitude which under-promises but OVER-DELIVERS!!!My 3yo. daughter was so happy for the fish and we are so thankful that one worker at Petco would take out the time in her busy schedule to do something so difficult.

Lindsey was amazing! I rarely ever feel the intense urge to find out if an establishment conducts customer service surveys as I did last night after my visit to the Petco. She helped us with savings we weren't even aware of or were searching for! We bought a cart full of stuff and she tried to get us the most bang for our buck. Also, we bought a five tier kitty playground for dirt cheap. It was returned in very beaten up packaging so it was only $25 bucks. As soon as Lindsey scanned it, she marked it down even further to 17 since she's just that amazing. Can you believe that only costed us $17??!! Some of the playgrounds went for $79.99 and up.

This happened a few months ago. They (two young guys) yelled at us at the checkout counter that our dog went to the bathroom in an aisle near the back of the store. I assured them he did not, since he's on a leash with me at my side and I would notice. He already went #2 on the walk to the store, so I know he didn't even need to go.The employees insisted, and pointed to where the accident was. I looked. It was a giant pile. My dog was like 30lbs and 8 months old, not even capable of that. There was a homeless looking guy with a giant pitbull who was obviously responsible, but they insisted it was our dog.Haven't been back, and won't be back.
