The Ponderosa Running Springs

This is the main market in Running Springs, formerly Jensons. Appears they stock the same products as they used to. Prices are fair considering this is a mountain town store. Small store and good service. They stock wine, beer & liquor. Also, fruits and veggies. Breads and cereals. Pretty much can find what you need because many people rely on this store.

Delicious, fresh sandwiches. The ladies at the deli were super friendly and made our sandwiches with care. Also appreciated a good veggie sandwich with sprouts and avocado. The store seemed well stocked.

This is the worst jensens. The people at the deli are so SLOW ! More interested in gossip than making sandwiches. And I'm sorry but they are too old they shouldn't be driving let alone working. Just make the drive to blue jay jensens they get a 5star review

Amazing small grocery store with a large selection of frozen and fresh food! They also have sandwiches and a deli so you can pick up sandwiches on the go!The staff here is very kind.I highly recommend stopping in either before you visit the lake or before a camping trip. They have all the camping stuff for marshmallows and other camping foods!!

Shockingly high prices even for the mountains. Prices even higher than when it was Jensen's. Avoid spending your money here unless you are wealthy enough not to care. I'm sure everyone is nice. But there is a Stater Brothers in Arrowhead and other market nearby. Small box of cherry tomatoes $5. Single head of lettuce $3 Suggest you bring stuff with you when you visit. Too expensive for local grocery shopping in my opinion.

The hours on the website hadn’t been updated. It said they were open. We walked over in the snow as we about a half a mile away from the store because we couldn’t drive. We got there with 10 minutes till seven because they actually didn’t open till seven and they wouldn’t let us in the store and it was 20° out. Customer service wasn’t great overall food and prices were fine but you should never leave a family out in 20° weather. they could’ve just let us inside 10 minutes early till I opened.

They have almost everything you need and being a mountain grocery it's a bit more expensive than normal but it'll work for sudden needs that might arrive

I love that I live within walking distance of Jensen's, so even if there's a blizzard and I run out of something vital, I don't even have to take my car. Great hot sandwiches, freshly made. Some items are a little pricey. Good selection overall. Friendly, helpful staff.

We were on a road trip to Big Bear and we stopped off at this Market to allow our car to cool off. For being so far out of the way it was a well-equipped little market. It is a bit pricey but then what do you expect when you're up in the mountains and there's nowhere else to get groceries. They do have barbecue that's cooked daily.

It is always good to have a local market to run to when you may have forgotten something at the larger market, but their prices are higher than I would like, so I limit my shopping to items that are an urgent need. YMMV

We went for the weekend and needed some groceries.I found this small market near our resort. They have fruit and vegetables *small section, but will have everything you need. Disposables plates, cups, utensils, etc'... food cans, candies 🍬 🍭 snacks, beverages, and more. Prices are really off! The Disposables were supper expensive, and the costumer service is ok, not that great.Overall I would recommend you bring everything you need, otherwise you'll have to spend a good amount of money for few more things. Our resort was too far from big bear 🐻 lake otherwise I would have go shop there, it's way less expensive.

This is a great place to drop into if you only need a few things but don't want to drive down the hill or the next town over for some groceries. I usually pop in here for a quick snack run or for one of their delicious deli sandwiches.

Really lovely small market in the mountains of California. Great support for cabin life. We really enjoyed.

A little on the expensive side but a great place to go for last minute needs to complete a meal. Great premade meal options and a fairly large alcohol selection too. You can get most household necessities here as well, like laundry and dish soap, dog and cat food, foil, trash bags, etc.

I love Jensen's! Everyone is so nice and friendly. It's a small market, with the essentials, slightly pricey, but that's expected in the mountains. Their BBQ on the weekends is amazing, they make the best sandwiches and their wine selection is impressive for how small the store is.

Great service, cute little market. Got a little bit of everything. Fresh deli, produce, small liquor section, and decent prices. Parking is limited, but more options on the left side.

Jensen's has the best baked chicken, especially since it's not marinated or overly salted. We get this at least once a week. The rest of the store is fairly limited compared to Blue Jay. Customer service seems exemplary towards established locals, and average towards newbs in the neighborhood.

Cute little market that has just about everything you need. Customer service could be a little more polite... My cashier was super sweet but the other was not so friendly. But I get it, I work with people too. Some days are rough. But all in all, great market and readily available sanitizer

I've been going to Jensens for years. So have most resident locals in Running Springs, as it's the only convenience store with a hot food and cold food section. They have great, reliable service. The staff is warm hearted and always kind, which is refreshing and uplifting. Their management is very professional and their products are well chosen. The running springs jensens obviously has a smaller selection than the one in blue jay, but they are both well priced and have all the essentials. I would like to see more organic and holistic products at both. I can't believe we live in a day and age where we have to look for food without chemicals or genetic modification in it, and it's somehow it's own class of food like " organic " when it's basically " the way God intended food to be?!" LOL. At any rate, you can't go wrong with Jensens and even their non-organic fresh foods and ready made foods taste clean and good. Thanks guys!

Nice place to shop, staff is nice. Weekend bbq is great. Kinda pricey but is understandable. But they have your needs right there without driving 30 miles down. Vegetables are fresh, bakery is to die for. Very good variety of drinks and sandwiches. Did I mention bbq is great? :)

Jensen's people are always friendly and helpful. Even though it is a small store, square footage wise they carry just about every thing you want. Today I just went in for milk but ended up with bread and and some fresh fruit and vegetables. We love the convenience of having Jensen's here in town.

Prices are high but the people are great.I guess you pay for the convenience of a store in the mountains - and boy do you pay. However, the people working there are top notch. At first, some may look a little rough around the edges, but if you frequent their you soon begin to feel part of the family.Do try the tri-tip that they slow-cook on Fridays and Saturdays, it is good stuff. The deli sandwiches are great as well and they will pretty much make them any way you ask.

Cute little market with a little bit of everything you might need. Small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables but enough to get by for dinner and some snacks, and a solid selection of meat, bread, canned goods, and other staples. Very friendly staff!

Always friendly. The store is clean. It's a small store. The use to has fresh bakery, it's been discontinued due to Coronavirus. They have good meat.Jensen's in Running Springs now has fresh baked donuts

Great local place to get last minute items. Is definitely more expensive than shopping at Sprouts or Clark's. Wish they had more organic selections like the Jensen's in Blue Jay has. Overall I found it to be clean, everyone wears masks, and they're adhering to covid protocols. Would return.
