Came in to get my normal fish supplies and have been eye balling this red eye tree frog for a few weeks now. The first picture was from 2/26, the second picture is from 3/13. This frog is slowly dying and I know it because it does not have the proper care. Red eyes require very specific temps and humidity, and this frog is definitely not getting it. Enclosure is damp at best and these guys require high high humidity, which is typically provided with a fogger (which is not being used). Being that I own and breed SO many different frogs, I was worried for this little one and was hoping to take her home so I can rehabilitate her. I brought a worker over and figured why not ask if they could maybe discount her or adopt her out since she is not in good health and may not even live much longer. She brought over a manger who then pulled her off the wall and placed her in the water bowl. She instantly opened her eyes. To which she said “oh no he’s totally fine! When they sleep on the walls that flatted out and darken up to help them blend in, this guy is totally healthy”. And then told me that they can’t discount her at all and I would have to pay full price. So sad… this poor thing is going to die due to the lack of knowledge and even when I was trying to help out they told me I was wrong and shrugged it off. I tried I guess.

I tried to make an appointment online for grooming, but I couldn’t, my account was banned because my dog was scared from the groomer last time I was there . I have a lap dog he’s one and half year old only 17 pounds sweet little boy doesn’t even know how to bite. This is totally unacceptable because one groomer doesn’t like my dog now I can’t access my account online.I’m very unhappy with the way things were handled. I don’t recommend this store to anybody.

Very clean store tons of options of pet foods and stuff for all kinds of animals. There are tons of animals to adopt even a room of rabbits if you are looking to adopt a rabbit.

Drove to Roseville location because online said you had the cat food I was looking for in stock. We couldn’t find so I asked an employee to help find “Francisco” called someone on the Walkie talkie and no one responded so Francisco said I guess we are out. I asked if there was someone else that could check since online said it was in stock and we had already drove to two there stores, he said no one is responding and just stood there. No attempt to even try to help, I found a lady who worked for blue diamond dog food and she helped me find what I was looking for. Crazy to think your own employee, that you pay an hourly wage to was too lazy to help a customer but your vendor rep who is not even paid by you helped tremendously,Might want to reset your priorities when hiring because the customer service is lacking

Ohmygoodess. Honey is the most loving dog. Our regular groomer was on vacation this month. I took him to petco twice. They are not trained to trim a dog's nails if the dog doesn't want too. He does not bite, or aggressive in any way. He had a spot of dirt on top of his head, when I came back the spot was still there. At both visits they did not trim his nails. As soon as I got outside he had diarrhea. Pretty sure he was not bathed. I'm questioning if they gave him a laxative. I don't know how they stay in business.

I came here to see their selection of fish and the quality of the 50% off Aqueon tanks. The tanks available looked like they needed to be 50% off due to scratches, dust, and very poor silicone seals (Not Petcos fault, most likely) It looks like they try to have a good selection of fish (most were sold out, I was reading labels). Im not sure if I would’ve purchased fish from here if they were available because there was black beard algae in most of the tanks indicating a water quality issue. The lady at the cash register was very pleasant.

I never write bad reviews but I thought that people should be aware. I took my labradoodle here once just for a bath with the groomer Aaron, and he did a wonderful job and she left fine. I took her in 3 weeks later for a PUPPY CUT. Just a trim, and her whole poof on her head was cut down, and extremely uneven. I didn’t even recognize her. The worst part is that she left with an ear infection. Immediately after she was constantly shaking her head and we had to take her to the vet. Now out $400 with the vet bill and price of grooming. I will never be coming back here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I've had Amy and Aaron from my dog's nails. I have an older dog and she has been abused by groomers before when her nails get cut and I told Aaron about this and he said that he would do his best. I really appreciated that and I was very scared that Lily would snap at him. But he came out and the dog was very happy the nails were cut and the customer me was very very happy. I won't go any other place now I had a dog at PetSmart and they hit the dog across the face when it yipped at them. I know I can count on this place for a dog that is scared of getting her nails trimmed. Thank you Aaron

Hmmm, tough review. It's a Petco I can't expect too much, but man, the saltwater section is rough. It's just a giant aiptasia farm. And there was a sailfin graphically missing half it's face from HLLE.That said - the freshwater area looked okay. They sell dog and cat food. And adopt out adorable bunnies.Would be a 4-5 star Petco if they could spend another hour or two a week maintaining the saltwater section.

My dog had a very difficult surgery on 4/27 and I have been taking care of him since then. It has been a lot on my family and I haven’t really had time to go out. He now needs a prescription urinary food that I have to get special ordered. I bought an expensive bag of food Hills Science prior to his surgery on 4/16 and because it was 5 days past the 30 days on 5/21 when I went to return the unopened bag. The guy said only option was to donate. They will likely put it back on the shelf and sell it. My dog needs prescription food now and I will be dealing with Chewy who has a much better policy and has an actual heart. Shame on you Petco.

Very friendly & helpful staff. We visited the Vetclinic and while waiting at least 3 staff of Petco came buy & asked to say hi to my furry family member and then asked if chicken was okay to feed it. That was so impressionable and appreciated.Kudos to the current staff & Vetclinic team. ✌🏾❤️

Wow, just asked for a choke collar for my dog with an employee who was extremely helpful, he asked Heather, and she said 'Unfortunately we do.' I could not believe someone would be so rude. The male employee apologized for her, that I appreciated. But don't know why I should back to a store that has judgemental and rude staff. Shame on you Heather

Not trustworthy. I showed up ahead of time for the 10/12/23 vaccination appointment at the Roseville store: 1917 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA. We all (me, the dogs, another customer, and two veterinary professionals) waited for the check-in girl to upsell a walk-in. Waited long enough to miss my appointment as well as realizing the situation was likely a symptom of a bigger problem. I’m not trusting a business to inject my dogs which is neither compassionate nor organized. My advice is customer service training for all involved (Vetco texter, vet assistant, and check-in girl) except the vet who, like myself, has been around for a while.

I brought my dog in there for a grooming at 2pm they told me it would take 3 to 4 hours for her to be done.. I asked them to call me 30 minutes before she is done so I could be there to pick her up.. I never received a call and when I got there she was working on a different dog.. I asked if Missy was done at 6pm four hours. I was told they haven’t even started her.. the girl was like do you want your dog and before I could say anything she went back and got her and basically threw her at me. I asked to speak to a manager and she slammed the door in the room she was doing the hair cut and rudely got Brenda the manager. I explained what happened and she said she would talk to the general manager and get back to me.. I never heard back from Brenda or anyone regarding my experience.. I am not to impressed.. it wasn’t my first time there but it was my second bad experience there.. I’m not sure why if you have a appointment why they can’t have the job done in 4 hours.. it just means she was sitting in a crate for 4 hours for nothing..
