We just walked in the store looking to get a toy and maybe a treat for our two dogs. We left with a great deal of knowledge from a animal expert.The store had tons of natural options that were full of supplements, toys, and different kinds of food. We were lucky enough to meet the owner who shared a very heartwarming story of the police dog with a very impressive career to the store chain is named after.This is definitely the kind of store that you go out of your way to visit knowing that you supported a local business.I also can’t forget to mention they have a very neat dog washing station it has lots of neat shower tools complete with air blow dryer. Might want to bring a towel.Extremely clean store and friendly staff.

So my fiancé and I stopped off in the shopping center for lunch. We saw Ben’s last time and decided to stop in after we ate . BOY. We’re we impressed . By far the nicest and most Knowledgeable staff I have encountered . We were so impressed we brought our boy Preacher back to meet the staff the same day, and to use their state of the art self washing station that has a sanitary clean cycle after each use .Largest selection of raw diet food I have ever seen at a brick and mortar store . After we finish our boys kibble we will be switching him over to raw!P.S. if you are within 5 be miles , they will deliver your online orders to you !

first time here and had lots of questions since we are getting a new puppy. Michele was so helpful/knowledgeable and incredibly sweet. i definitely recommend coming in and checking it out. a lot of things to check out here. great atmosphere

If you own a dog or cat, there are a variety of ways to feed them. Assuming you're not making food from scratch-- unless you are very aware of an animal's nutrition-- you're either shopping at grocery stores (ugh), Petco/ Petsmart, or independent pet stores. Ben's is a local independent franchise pet store with a rather sensational assortment (choice) of quality pet food.Now, if you want to feed your pets with the best quality, Ben's is a very good place to go. DO NOT expect grocery store prices at a Ben's-- their food quality is superior to a grocery store.The selection of foods and treats was overwhelming, which requires tremendous training of the sales staff. I found the sales help to be OK, suggesting that it would be helpful for additional training.Didn't see many signs, which makes it nearly impossible to self shop. Also, Despite their outdoor sign, you can't tell this is a petstore because their are no window displays.Despite a few concerns, this is a very nicely laid out store, extremely clean, and, again their choices of pet food is excellent.

Great experience. Lots of brands to choose from. Ben's offer pet foods that is not typical in regular grocery stores. Foods to aid in better health, longevity for your pet, and quality ingredients. Prices are a bit higher, but my pets love the foods. Service was wonderful, and easy checkout. Don't forget to join their 5 star points club to get future discounts! This new location is closer to me, so I love it. Parking is good for the time being. Still lots of building going on next door, and general area.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed advice on what to feed my cat, who was losing weight and lethargic. The foods they recommended are making a big difference.The store was clean and well stocked and had a wide variety of products for cats and dogs.

Love Bens Barkplace.I first went to the one in Citrus Heights were a very friendly and knowledgeable woman took the time to recommend something to ease my dogs allergies during the pandemic and i was having a hard time getting a vet appointment.I’m a loyal customer and highly recommend this business.Glad to see one closer to my home now. I had already done some research so I knew what I wanted. But, they showed me where the food was and carried it to the counter. They helped answer some questions. It was a quick and easy trip! They were nice and knowledgeable! I also found the parking so much easier and not as congested as other pet stores in the area!

The customer service at Ben’s Barketplace over here in West Roseville is second to none. I went to store this weekend to grab a meal mixer for my dog. Striked up a conversation with a cashier and another gentleman chimed in asking what kind of dog I had and what was I feeding him. Next thing I know he’s providing me some sample kibble and a top of the line wet food that my dog truly appreciated. He gave me some pointers on what to look out for and how to feed my dog. Needless to say, I was blown away by the time and genuine service this man provided. And with this interaction Ben’s just gained a regular customer. To the cashier and the man who helped me, kudos to both of you for the excellent service. Thank you!

I have nothing but great things that will keep me on the return. I have 3 dogs and 1 has a food allergy to what not yet found that ingredient or protein that makes him itch I have been to a few pet stores reach one having their own brands that are kept in their inventory so I have come in to see what Ben's has to offer. Well I came so far too the right place the young lady that helped me listened to my and my dog's issue and offered a few to chews from. The most impressive choices to me and I wasn't having trouble reading the lable with the small words and hardly any. It's only been a few days with the new food and they seem to like it, my fingers are crossed and I look to heaven

We went in a hot day to get a fun chew for our Boxer to pass time indoors. The staff had tons of ideas for chews but also games to play indoors with our dog to keep her happy. Our dog loves the chew we got and it lasted for hours of fun.
