Backyard Pet Spa, seriously does such an amazing job. I am a first time pet owner outside of living with my family. I was so nervous to find a groomer that would be the perfect fit. From the moment I walked into this store I knew it was going to be a great experience. The staff is so incredibly kind and supportive. They help you with any questions you have and treat your dog like their own pet. Maple is my 1 year old australian shepherd and they made her coat look beautiful! And on top of that she was so happy when I picked her up I knew they treated her well and did an amazing job. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a groomer without a doubt I will keep coming back here! 100/10 service grateful to have groomers like this nearby.

I love this place. The owners are amazing and my dogs did great. My shih tzu has been battling pretty bad skin allergies and infection. despite numerous vet visits, antibiotics and everything else he is just a mess. They use something called Thera clean that has been a huge blessing to my pup. All his scabs are gone. When we went to the vet the day after his appointment they found no yeast or bacteria. Cooper feels better. No groomer in the area would shave him so he could have relief but they did and he feels so much better. They also did my Great Pyrenees/poodle mix and she look adorable. 1000% recommended this place for your dogs care

Today was our first visit to Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique! I loved it! Our Aussiedoodle has a serious dislike for grooming, every aspect of it but the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G team especially Zoe, was great with our Ellie and we couldn’t be more happy. The facility is clean, the boutique is adorable and they did a great job! We had some “excitement”, Ellie got overly excited when I came to pick her up and decided to dart out of the front door, Zoe literally dropped everything and helped me get her. She was an absolute angel. My pup gave us a scare but overall if it weren’t for the quick action we both took she could have ran into a busy intersection. Thank you for all you did today both grooming and helping me catch my crazy girl.

It was everything I hoped for! Not going to lie I had second and third thoughts! Not so much about Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique but more about our dog being a bit of a trouble maker! He looks sweet and all but he has leash aggression, doesn’t like to share and hates all the four-legged creatures! But I have been ensured they are used to dealing with trouble makers, even if I told them all about our fur baby! Need to add here to mention we have been banned from other spas before! So when we walked in and I got him to the waiting area, I was like a bit worried how that is going to turn out with other dogs being in the same place. They barked a little growled then all went down, but of course I was just making it worse in my head. Anywho, not going to go over all the processes, their facility is great, people are awesome and I want to thank everyone who took care of Maxwell!Reminder;1) I am not taking Maxwell to a groomer & spa to look fancy or anything, I want him to be hygienic and healthy. He was both!2) My level of understanding if he had a good time is either if he doesn’t want to run out when I put his leash back on, or we won’t be banned from the place. He were not banned and he just kept interacting with the surrounding trying to stay more. (Although, I had to pull him away from food merch since he has poultry allergies.)3) Usage of fragrance or perfume after the cleaning process is what I cannot handle since I have asthma and after I got Maxwell I realized that was one thing I forgot to mention but nothing smelled to trigger my reactions. Smell was quite pleasant to my shock!We couldn’t make a better choice for him to reorient to a new groomer because we moved away from our previous groomer (which we also loved).

This weekend I took my girl to Backyard Pet spa. My dog is blind and gets totally freaked out when groomed. They were so patient with her and did a great job. The shop was super clean and the staff was friendly and professional. I felt so assured they would take good care of my little girl, and that’s exactly what they did. Backyard Pet Spa is amazing. My dog gets his nails done every two weeks, and they always do a great job. Even though my pup is an anxious mess, they still love him and treat him very well. He looks forward to seeing them for his manicure pedicures.

First time taking my fur baby here to be groomed was a great experience. I was a little nervous as to how she might react and they were very friendly, calm and reassuring. No pet ever gets turned away regardless of behavior problems and I like that. I highly recommend this place as they did a great job grooming my fur baby. Thumbs up 👌🏻😍

Our girl had flea dermatitis and allergies which quickly led to a yeast overgrowth and hair loss patches within the span of 2 weeks. It quickly progressed and spread quickly. Her vet at Paw Chi suggested we bring her to get a theraclean microbubble bath. The staff at Backyard Pet Spa were the sweetest and took great care of our girl. They even texted me a video of her in the bubble bath, I could tell by her face she was comfortable. We did a total of 3 sessions and each one brought such great relief. The owner sent us home with a trial of a shampoo to use at home and she’s just about healed. Thank you so much I urge all pet parents with dogs suffering from allergies to try this out. She’s off apoquil and we’re figuring out what her triggers are ❤️ thank you for taking such great care of our girl.

Our regular groomer was booked and we contacted Backyard Pet and they were actually booked as well but, kindly took our Yorkie, she was bathed, had a puppy cut, and nails filed, when we picked her up she was so happy and we believed she could also tell that she received the best looking cut she's ever had. We were so grateful that they didn't just rush a cut to fit her in... She was perfect!We would highly recommend, and have, to friends and family to bring your fur baby in and you'll get to experience their friendly, loving, and knowledgeable staff. What more can you ask for. 🐶

My new puppy Angel was growing nails like "Edward Scissorhands" and used them like the Tasmanian Devil on me!Since I could not locate my former groomer from 4 years ago I was frantically searching for a new one! I called Backyard and I knew after Katy answered the phone I could stop buying multiple boxes of Band Aids😅With a friendly manner Katy shared that they have a nail program! The first nail trim is $15 and then $5 thereafter when you bring your pet back every 2 weeks.Yahoo! I was there in a 1/2 hour.Micaela did a fantastic job and made sure I was happy with the new nails.The experience was perfect for Angel to socialize her more, a fun drive in the car, great introduction before a complete grooming experience and she was extra tired the rest of the day (My favorite part 😊).Thank you again & will see you in 2 weeks!P.S. As a new puppy parent (I have never had a dog in my life before now), I admit I was very afraid of the grooming needs for JOMO. Luckily, the staff at Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique are passionate about their clients. It shows in every interaction I have had with the team.Example - It's going to be 90 degrees this week in the Sacramento area. And that means my puppy needs shoes for walks and stuff. When I went into the store to pickup puppy, I spoke to the team about looking for shoes. They asked me several questions and went through several options before we found a pair (Canada Pooch) that sounds perfect. Then they gave me tips on how to acclimate him to the new shoes.I am looking forward to trying these out this week!Also, my puppy looks gorgeous after his spa day. 😍Thank you!

They did an awesome job with our difficult dog. He gets nippy when anyone touches his feet or face. We have brought our dog here twice and both times we have been happy with the service they provide. We recently moved to the area and I was worried about finding a groomer that would work for our nervous dog. Thank you for all the extra time and energy you spend with him.

This place is amazing. I can’t say enough positive things. Our yorkie has been struggling with skin allergies for years. She would get itchy scabs all over her belly and neck. It was causing her extreme discomfort. We tried every medication from the vet and nothing would get rid of it. Finally her groomers recommended their Thera-clean treatment for her. Immediately after the first treatment we saw a difference. She was no longer itching and finally seemed to be relieved. She’s only on week 4 and it’s done wonders. Not to mention this is the only groomer we have ever taken her to that she doesn’t cry when we take her in. She loves the whole staff. I would highly recommend this place to all pet owners.

The staff are incredibly friendly, respectfully with your pet and knowledgeable, and they always take the time to make sure that your pet is comfortable and happy.

Best best best place! I’m legitimately confused why there’s bad reviews. This is the cleanest, nicest groomer I’ve been to and they are so sweet with your pups. I have a reactive dog and they were so nice to make him feel comfortable and took great care of them. It’s pricier than some groomers but as soon as you get there you will know why! I thought they did a wonderful job. I initially brought them in for a trim and ended up needing their body done so they were so kind to let me come back and didn’t charge me since I had already paid for the modified trim. Shelle and every one else is so kind and I would 10/10 recommend! They smell amazing.

My dog was there for 8 full hours. I did not receive a text when she was ready like they said, which they blamed on WIFI. Was told it would take a few hours and was never notified that it would take 8. I had to call 4 times throughout the day to know if she could come home. It is clear she did not get adequate water or bathroom breaks. Haircut is not what was discussed, but looked fine.

I took my Maltese puppy here for her first grooming experience. They were so kind and I felt they wanted to make this experience a good one for my puppy. Not rushing her appointment taking their time making sure she was comfortable and not scared. They were able to bath her and give her a cute puppy trim.Thank you Backyard Pet! You guys are awesome!

Very nice place. Paid over $140 for a designer cut and it was off a little. Eyebrows were cut different lengths and beard was shorter on one side than the other. For the price paid I expected better. People very friendly and dog smells amazing.

I had such a great experience with Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique! My pup had long hair and has never been groomed before. I needed to get his hair as short as possible due to medical reasons. $100 for a bath, allergy treatment and cut. The price was so reasonable for the experience and services they provided. AJ was so kind and sweet to both myself and my pup. He explained everything and really emphasized that they were only going to do what my pup could handle. My pup got a little stressed so they washed him one day and then did his big chop a few days later. I super appreciate a business that does what is best for their clients: the fur babies. We will absolutely be back. Thank you, thank you from Milton and myself.

My dogs always come back from here looking so great. The loving care they treat the animals with is like I treat my own and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for boarding for this reason. Shell, and the rest of the staff is great!

I use to like this groomer but my last 5 groomering appointments have not been good experiences.They treat your dog well, but over charge you and the hair cut is uneven. I have asked them multiple times to remove the spa package and they don't. Yesterday I was charged the spa package and my dog didn't even get everything included: the bow and cookie.The owner raised her voice at me fom across the room. I felt very uncomortable and just wanted to get the hell out of there. I didn't even want to mention the additional charges that my dog didn't receive. I will not be going back.I found a new groomer

We took our two 85lbs German Shepard’s in for a de-shed, bath, and nail trim…… they look beautiful I will admit, we don’t always have the time to groom them as much as we should, so it is definitely not the easiest of jobs, and they do a wonderful job. Our female can be nervous around men and they always make sure to make her feel comfortable, we will continue to come back.
