The self check out lanes are terrible. They do not work well and require cashier's to stop what they are doing to reset the machine when it breaks. I went shopping somewhere else after the machine stopped working four times. I will update this after I compare with other FoodMaxx self checkout locations because it feels unreasonable and stressful for everyone.

Basic brand name products are in stock. Finer foods are scarce. This is a low cost, budget market that sells what Lucky won't. The quality of produce varies, sometimes fresh sometimes near end of life. It is priced accordingly. Usually friendly staff. Be prepared to wait in the checkout line!

FoodMaxx in Rohnert Park is WAY better than the one in Santa Rosa! The Santa Rosa store is a ridiculous! Rohnert Park I am usually in & out w/o the big long lines. They've got a pretty good self checkout set up there too.

Great prices! I will buy bottled water,dairy,bread and all other items except for meat. Their meat is sometimes injected with water and so l stear clear. Plenty of parking and good produce,as well.

Just left this store extremely disrespected and unhappy with the service from the employee who checked out our groceries. She was rude and disrespectful toward me, my boyfriend and his father, who was in a wheelchair. We came to help him with his groceries since he is unable to do so himself right now as he cannot use his right arm or leg. At checkout we were treated with the utmost disrespect by the blonde old lady cashier. She was basically yelling at us and talking to us as if we weren't even allowed to shop there. 0/10 do not go the blonde lady in checkout unless you want to be completely disrespected because "she doesn't want to lose her job". Stores fine, just get some better employees who don't yell and discriminate against customers.

I was refused bags for my groceries. I used my EBT and explained users aren't to be charged for bags. I was offered a small box which the clerk snipped it's free. Food Maxx said they get in trouble if they give away bags even though legally they must to EBT users. It was a big inconvenience for this senior citizen as I had to carry out my groceries in a cart and place baggless in my trunk then carry armfuls into my house.

One checkout line and self check only tonight. Looks LIKE ONLY 3 EMPLOYEE IN STORE. Clerk said they do not have enough employees. Stayed in line with 30- 40 other shoppers for 10 minutes without moving, so left and went to Safeway.

Great place to shop I was looking that day for turkey breast or legs or a small turkey couldn't find it anywhere else but here they had turkey legs which was perfect for my turkey pot pies. Steve who is the manager there is a great guy he's helped me out many times in the past while I was making my jellies. I don't shop the store all the time but I do recommend it great prices they have pretty much everything you would need.

I usually shop at grocery outlet and safeway, but decided to come here because I was in the neighborhood. I was able to get about 2/3 of my normal shopping list done here. The prices were comparable. I had expected them to be a little cheaper, but with the sales that I get at Safeway my bill is usually cheaper there. I don't anticipate coming back often but if I were in the neighborhood I would certainly stop in. They had a very nice selection of produce and everything looked fresh. As a vegetarian I was a little disappointed in the frozen section, and I didn't find any alternative milks. The staff were pleasant. They did have Christian music radio playing on the loudspeaker, so that was a little unexpected. All in all, it was okay.

Great prices. Huge produce department. Only complaint is the older blonde woman who seems to be a manager of some sort. She could definitely be more friendly. I've never felt like I was such a pain in the ass in my life as I did while getting rung up by her.

I just got out of the store. I am not sure I will.go back usually have a good experience but I was in self checkout and needed 3 bags so o asked the lady watching over self check she said they would be 10 cents I tried to explain to her that I have ebt and they are supposed to be fee she got very rude and said that not here and asked if I wanted the or not I need to put my groceries somewhere so I had to buy them. I work at a grocery store so I know you and not supposed to charge so I am pretty upset that I had to buy the bag and the way this lady treated me . In a time like this when you can't bring your own bags in most store are not even charging at all.

Thanks for your response, honestly I like shopping at this store, but the quality of the fresh produce changed compared to the first Time I walked in the week before Thanksgiving. I asked few others to come and shop from your store from Petaluma and they all loved your store's variety of products and great prices. But in my few recent visits I noticed the rotten veggie around the others cause the rest to go bad sooner. But it can be due to winter season too. I shop a lot of veggies and I think there is a room for improvement and it's easy to say than to actually done. still I like your store. And staff are friendly.

It's a big store takes awhile to get around. But when I got to the checkout, I got the most sweetest young lady her name was Sonia and she was so polite helpful. Give the girl a raise she's worth every penny

I have grown to love this store. There is such a great selection of items stocked at all times. I love the expansive produce section. Everything is always fresh, and there is plenty to choose from. I would and do recommend this store to anyone who would like to shop and get a lot of bang for their bucks. Awesome!

Their canned food prices are very competitive. The produce was marginal as was the meat department. Some of the liquor prices were some not so much. I would continue to shop there for essential items. Special items not so much

They have really low prices but the quality of the product could be a little better. Also maybe not having the employees play hella loud music on there Bluetooth speakers , while the other employees had a in depth conversation at the checkout. with only one checkout lane open and a line a mile long.

They really must add more cashiers. The self checkout is not as blatantly obvious to use as people think they are. It took me over 10 minutes to finally figure out that I was not the problem but that the system for ATM was down! A human cashier would have known long before I figured it out.

This store is well stocked and has great prices. It is wonderful if you need to meal prep or buy items for kids school lunches. You always find something you could use even if you didn't intend to buy it for a low price. I know for a fact that the items i purchase at my regular grocery store are always lower in price at Food Maxx. The $100 i spend at food maxx is better than the $160 it would be at my usual store. Sometimes i get more of the product!
