First Time in 20+ years of reef keeping that I've had Ich in my tank, and it came from two fish that I purchased from this place. I WILL NEVER BUY HERE AGAIN. Not only did I literally flush a couple hundred dollars in parasite infested fish down the toilet, but now I have to treat my entire 250 Gallon Tank.I recommend everyone save yourself money, time, and stress, and shop for fish elsewhere. I'll be making the 4 hour round trip to Hayward from now on. Absolutely pathetic and sickening.

Great place with a lot of cool and oddball fish. Lots of salt water stuff to. I got my first monster fish, a tiger shovel nose. We got a bunch of other cool stuff like electric blue rams and butterfly fish and stuff like that. The staff great and very knowledgeable.

Aqua Life Aquarium has some of the most helpful associates and the best & broadest fish selection I have ever seen. They were willing to package my fish as if they were being shipped overnight so I could take them on the airplane with me. They clearly care about their livestock and customers. Would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area or checking out their online store (they ship country wide). The highlight of the store is definitely their extensive discussion selection.

This is the best place to get fish. I went there many times. I usally get guppies.There is good service. But sometimes some staff take the fish out of the tank with their hand instead of using a net. This may hurt the fish! Also, we sometimes don’t see beautiful fish and go to a different place.

The best Discus in the area. I drive 2 hours each way just for these fish. The owner is nice and the tanks are clean and the fish all look healthy. One photo shows the tank at the store the rest are the fish I bought and have now.

We came to pick out a betta and they had a good amount. I had to ask for help because the lady was busy, and the guy at the counter helped me fast. I needed a heater for my 15 gal but they only had 1 option and it was $20. We eneded up going to another spot for the heather.

If I were into Oscars or salt water this place would be 5 stars all day. Aquarium Depot is more fun, but I almost always end up actually buying more at Aqua Life. I would visit more often if I lived closer.

The store itself is fantastic. They easily have the best selection and care for the fish, but the service is inconsistent depending on who you get. Some of their employees are phenomenal, and take make you feel helped and some others make you feel like a burden and unhelpful. Most employees are great but I've had one that didn't listen to the specific fish I wanted, got the wrong fish, and we're always rushing me. I ended up just walking out. Other times though are great and I can't say enough good things. I even had my clown fish get brooklynella and one of the employees offered me some of his own medicine because I didn't know what to get. Worth the risk to go in and possibly get the one bad egg, for the chance to get the many better employees and give you a great experience. If not for the one less-than adequate employee I would give these guys 10/5 if I could

My almost 80 year old father has had his tank cleaned for almost 7 years by them. He would call me so excited to tell me what they brought him or cleaned every time they came. They called him 3 months ago and stated due to his distance they would be dropping him as a client. I tried desperately to call the general manager and store owner so I could speak with them and see if anything could be done. They never returned my calls. I'm disgusted that we were clients for years and spent thousands of dollars at their store but they couldn't return a concerned daughters phone call? They will never get an another dime from us.

As a complete fish dummy, Auqa Life Aquarium helped to point me in the right direction to start my new hobby. Their fish stock is healthy and diverse. Their employees are very patient and knowledgeable, and their prices are good to boot. I love going into the store!

**update**I always had good experience with this store and staff until the other day. I had bad experience with one staff member. He had bad attitude and it seemed like he didn’t want to deal with me. They also updated their rewards program which is similar to other LFS. Honestly a lot of times I would make a trip just to get points and save my rewards for big ticket items but now I don’t have incentive to drive to Rocklin. Customer service is key in retail world.Good selection of fresh and saltwater fish. Friendly staff and awesome rewards program

I have been working on setting up a fish tank for my daughter who is 2. I wanted to go to a local place to support local business. I was prepared to spend hundreds of dollars. I arrived at 10:55am. The door was open so my daughter and I walked in. A store employee then began berating me that the store was not open and that I should nott be inside. I asked him when it opened and he said 11. Then asked me and my daughter to wait outside in cold and wet conditions. He was very unpleasant and very rude. I will never come back there again. Your customer service is trash. I would give 0 stars if I could

The Aqua Life Aquarium team consistently give my Dad stellar service for his large in-home tank. Candace set up a monthly cleaning and plant replacement service, which is perfect every visit. The team are all professional, friendly and clean marine experts. Danny is Dad's favorite tech, who has knowledgable and helpful in all tank upgrade recommendations. We appreciate all of the Aqua Life Team driving the extra mile to the mountain communities to service our family's special tank.

Pretty cool place. Tanks are clean and the fish are healthy. Great selection. Prices are good. The staff are super nice and helpful with tons of knowledge. I drive 1 hour each way to shop here and it's worth it.
