If you need a key fob programmed this is the place to go. Ask for Joseph he’s super knowledgeable with vehicle programming and had me in and out within 15 minutes for $20. I bought the fob from a dealer site and was out the door with a working key fob for my push to start 4runner for less than $100. Dealers quoted me $600 and locksmiths quoted me $323! Thanks Joseph for the awesome customer service too!

We paid for ace to fix my bike because it had a flat tire. It took them over 20 minutes to replace the tube and the scratched the bike really bad. Not only that, but when they were tightening the wheel, they got a socket stuck inside the peg and it took us a long time to get it out. Not only that, but both the chain and sprocket are now extremely loose. Smh, ace, I expected better from you, it’s so bad I would rate it a 0 if I could.

So glad to have Ace in Ripon. They offer friendly service and have a really wide selection of goods. Sure, there might be occasional reasons to complain (as seen by a few reviews), but consider the drive to Modesto or Manteca during rush hour 😆. Thanks Schempers!

Very nice Ace hardware store. Usually go there for plants they are reasonably priced. Always helpful service. Today they even gave out free hamburgers and brats. Tasty

Walked in 5 minutes before closing and the staff were so nice. They didn't rush us, they didn't even tell us it was 5 mins before closing. Everybody was doing their sweeps of the store and offered to help us. We were just there for firewood. We got out of there just on time.

Friendly service. Great service. Had a sprinkler anti siphon that had a seal leak. Asked for help and received help immediately. Helped me find a quick fix for my sprinkler valve problem. Love this store! Ace is the place!

Had the proper fasteners I was looking for yesterday. Everytime I have came here for a tool or certain part I needed, I was greeted with a happy staff willingness to help. Definitely a great local business supporting the area around itself by having a younger high school aged staff. I will continue supporting this store over big box stores when applicable.

Normally I would give this store 5 stars, but after today, if I could I would give negative stars.Husband and I went to purchase 3 screw drivers, one of which was on sale from $7.52 to $3.49. However when we got up to the register it rang up at $7.52. We let the cashier know that the screwdriver had a yellow tag sale slip on it for $3.49. She called an area manager of her to verify. Turns out one of their employees put the wrong tag on the wrong item. At that point they couldn’t decide whether they were going to honor the price or not and called her a secondary manager. To which at this point she accused My Husband of taking the sticker off of another item and putting it over The original price tag where the screwdriver was hanging. Once she realized what she said, she tried to backpedal and say that a bunch of kids came in and we’re poking them. Are you kidding me? She then proceeds to tell my husband that they will NOT honor the Price that was marked where the screwdriver was hanging. This is literally a four dollar difference.We have lived in the area for over 20 years. And have been a long time customer of ace hardware. after the experience today, in the horrible, horrible customer service I will never shop at the store nor the new one they open in Manteca, nor the one in Escalon ever again. I was completely appalled that the manager had the audacity to blame us for moving the sticker ourselves.

The proverbial grown ups toy store. They not only have what you want, but have so many things you didn't even know you needed. Gram loves just wondering the store to see what she can find. For me they have everything I need for all my projects. Best selection of hardware out of them all and the employees actually know what they're doing!

Whenever I go into Ace, there is always someone there to help me. That makes my trip less stressful and I can get in/out quickly. I know many of the people now by name and they remember me too. Ace is more pricey and the selections are not as vast as Home Depot or Lowe's, but I like shopping local, small and family owned. It's also convenient if you live nearby.

Such a nice hardware store. Great customer service! I was there before the store opened (had to drop dog off at vet) stopped to check their vegetable plant selection. The fellow opening up said take these two come back and pay for them. (Which I did when I picked up my dog from the vet)

They are very knowledge and always have friendly staff available. I've come here many times over the years and have always had good service. Somebody is always willing to assist me to find even the smallest items.Just one of the many things that distinguishes them from other stores is that they actually walk with you to the item and don't just point halfway across the store and hope you find it. I've walked out of other stores before because the customer service is terrible or I couldn't find the item I was looking for.One other thing they assisted me with was recycling batteries, paint, and CFL light bulbs. They were more than happy to assist me with this, and it was nice knowing that none of that stuff went into a landfill and there was a place that I could take it to that was close to home.Ultimately, this place is certainly worthy of your business. You don't find places like this very often anymore.

Nice place, but they're still allowing people without masks on to shop in their stores, despite the window signs about wearing masks. I'm taking my money elsewhere. Sorry, not sorry!!! P.S. This store is not following the state public health mandates requiring people to wear masks indoors. It's disingenuous to claim that this business is following these guidelines by simply posting it on your doors. I saw at least a dozen people not wearing masks when I was there on a busy Saturday and no one approached these individuals. If you want our business, we have the right to feel safe in your stores!

So friendly and helpful always...if something is not in stock they go to great lengths to get it ordered for you. Competitive prices also. Best customer service of any hardware store in the area. The only room for improvement would be if they hired me. I worked as a hardware buyer/ consultant for the largest chain in the USA. But for some reason, they would not hire me. Ahh well, their loss. 😦. I still believe they are a great neighborhood store.

This was an awesome visit. They had a random part that no other hardware store carried, and was cheaper then what others were selling it for on line. The qty on hand matched what was listed on the site. The store was very organized and clean. I will definitely shop here more often.

I made an online order to pick up at the Ripon store, as the store in Tracy where I live did not have one available. They called to let me know they only had the display left which was fine. When I arrived, a sales associate helped me get it into my car and checked to make sure the instructions/registration were with it. I drove home only to find that they'd forgotten to give me the battery and charger. When I called the manager he found it, apologized, and told me he would drive it out to my house since it was their mistake. After the store closed he drove the battery and charger to Tracy so I would not have to make a return trip. You just don't see that kind of service anywhere today so I need to give them a huge shout-out both for their service in the store and their commitment to quickly making an error right.

Clean, well organized store. Had most of what I wanted, but for the one piece they didn't, a well knowledgeable young man led me to the parts I needed to improvise for an idea I was working on. In the end, all projects are complete today.

I have got to say, this was one Of the best shopping trips Ive had in a long time and gives me hope that all customer service is not dead. It Seems like every where you go these days you’re treated more like an inconvenience than a potential paying customer. We came blazin’ thru the doors at 5:53, 7 minutes before closing needing to get keys made and my kid searching for a quality fly swatter (dont judge, quarantines been rough and he found a new way to entertain himself haha). The young man who made the keys had beyond superior customer service skills and another young man who was helping my son was equally as great. When we went to pay, the young lady who was running the cash register was awesome.. and to top it off the young lady who had to open the door for us to leave was just as pleasant and friendly. When I got back to my car..I Was boasting to my 12 yr old daughter what an awesome shopping experience I had. She looked at me like I was crazy but she’ll understand one day hahaha Keep up the great work Ripon Ace Hardware!

I love this store! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to help you. I am a realtor and as designer they always have what I need, if they don't have the item you need they will let you know where to find it.

Great customer service. Not like Home Depot or Lowe's where you have to hunt down an employee. Here the employees find you and make sure you find what you need. They may not have as much as bigger chains but for the small stuff, I come here.
