Do NOT buy chicks from this feed store!!I got 6. And they all died within a 2 day period.They will not refund or let you replace the chicks. They get chicks less then 3 days old from hatch day from an unknown breeder and they get vaccinated day they ship them. There is no health guarantee on them!!Do Not buy chicks from this feed store!!!

Had the specialty food I needed for my dog and the associate was very sweet and helpful. I will be coming here for any and all of my pets needs. Great prices on everything my babygirl got a bunch of treats for a good deal.

Employees are very knowledgeable. Helpful on the phone and in person. Gave treats to my dogs personally showed me where everything was that I needed. Even though they seem pricey you're paying for the quality and the goodness for your animals. Handicapped parking.

Very disappointed in the way this place has gone down hill in the past 8 years... as a local that has been using this place for 20+ years I've found a new feed store and won't recommend this place to anyone for anything!!! I recommend everyone else in the neighborhood to go to pioneer feed in elverta!!!

I have been going there for 28 to 30 years buying dog food they have a promotion that if you buy ten bags of taste of the wild you get one free but every time I go to get my free bag they move the goal post and come up with something else honor your promotion.

Sold me a sick chick that passed away in less then 24 hours (I’ve raised chicks before and got them from other places) and when I told them over the phone, they wouldn’t give me a refund and told me “to have a good one” at the end of the call in a happy and smug manner.If I could give this place negative stars I would! Don’t buy your chicks here, you will be wasting your time and money!

This place was so helpful. We had a feral cat in a cage and Bailey helped us transfer the cat to a crate. She went above and beyond. A great location, great rates and very friendly staff. We were so thankful for the help!

I love this feed store. Good prices. Very friendly people at the counter, exceptionally helpful lads in the warehouse and yard pulling orders and loading hay bales for me. This store stocks a very specific food that my cattle dogs demand, and they keep it in stock simply because I requested it. They also sell specific salt/protein blocks and creep feed for sheep that they do NOT have at tractor supply or anywhere else local. They also have nice livestock fencing/cattle panels in the yard, propane refills, and baby fowl in the proper season. Low Cost Vet services on Sundays. If they sold soil and gardening products, I would never need to go anywhere else.

I was at River Valley Feed & Pet Supply on 1/24/21 and ALL of the employees were wearing masks and were very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe and appreciated the assistance with my purchases. This is a quality business with great prices and a wide selection. A true gem in the community.

This is the best feed store. Everyone is always so helpful and they usually have everything you need. Today I went to pick up a few things and walked in, to find no one wearing masks. None of the employees had masks nor is there anything in place like a safety divider shield at the counter. I left. It is just disappointing that they are not following the guidelines

River Valley Feed is my go-to place for Orijen Dog Food. It's $14 cheaper there per bag than on Amazon, AND they are gracious enough to offer a Military discount. I also get all my organic chicken feed and alfalfa there. These items are almost always in stock. Customer service is friendly, helpful, and efficient, and they treat each customer with respect. You can't go wrong here.

They are not careful about making sure they load all of the items you purchase. There are some seriously rude women working behind the counter, and when you return to receive the items you paid for, they will make it your fault.Be sure not to wait more than a couple days or they will REFUSE to give you what you paid for. Even if you call and they leave a note with your name, number and what you're missing.We spent hundreds of dollars at this store to be treated like dirt, apparently it is the customers job to make sure the store is on their honor system, so they don't steal what you purchase and treat you like garbage because you waited 6 days to return.Absolutely disgusting and offputting situation.After the interaction with the women behind the counter, who clearly saw the note (bought 6 bags and only received 5) and still tried to make the issue MY fault, threaten me by coming around the counter and getting in my face to make me leave when I got upset etc. I will never return. I'll take my money elsewhere as will the other people at the barn who buy EVERYTHING here.Thousands of dollars a month you will no longer receive from us because of one nasty employee named Dori.ANY rational person would be upset in this situation.GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE would have solved this issue and avoided the problem in general.Stop hiring kids that smoke weed on the job to load the feed, and stop making people with TERIBLE people skills managers, or customer service professionals in general.A nasty attitude shouldn't be the face of your company.I'll be telling everyone I know not to come here.

Asked for item and was given it, paid, on the way out asked more about the item as it was my first time using said item, found out it would NOT be for my exact use. Told employee what I needed EXACTLY from the product and she showed me the very best thing for my needs. Sense I already bought the first item I asked if I could get a refund on the first item that would go to the second item, she quickly said yes with a smile on her face. I mention this because now a days most stores I go into the employee's, whenever a situation calls for it, won't even mention a refund or return. They play the "If I don't mention it maybe they'll take the product they don't need and just paid for and leave" game, you know, when the employee plays dumb and unless you (the customer) mention the solution they'll continue to feign ignorance. Then when you do mention "return" or "refund" they get this look of absolute disgust in their face, almost like if they smelled a fart. But these girls where very courteous even as the fault was mine for not asking more questions before purchasing the product. In short, great customer service!
