Ladies are always super helpful, kind, and supportive.Lobby and PT (furry family) rooms are always very clean.They always take good care of our animals. They are always up front about the cost and care the animals should receive.

I went to this Animal Hospital based on an Emergency. Unfortunately, my regular clinic would not squeeze us in. They said they had one doctor only on Saturdays. So I took a chance and called this one. My dog was begging for air all night. They suggested that I go to an Emergency Hospital 45 minutes from where I live...down the mountain, through the snow and a long drive on the freeway with a small dog that couldn't catch her breath. In lieu of this, I called this clinic...the prices were more reasonable, the Doctor met with each client explaining what was necessary, was very thorough, and obviously cared about the animals and their owners. This was on a Saturday...what a blessing this clinic proved to be🤗🐶❣

I’ve been going here for over 20 years and Dr. Becker is an honest vet and she does not beat around the bush, which I love about her.The staff is great they know my dog and she likes them.

I can’t say enough good things about Rimforest. We’ve been coming to them for about 2 years now with all of our pets. The vets and staff are wonderful. Most recently we suffered a tragedy when our kitten died. On what was the most horrible day, we received comfort and endless kindness from the staff at Rimforest. I want to especially mention Erica at the front desk. She was so incredibly kind to us, I can’t thank you enough, Erica. I’ll never forget your kindness.

Was able to snag a cancelation appt today for my peanut and could not have been more pleased! All the staff and Doctor were just so nice, they were talking to all the people in the waiting room. Knew their pets by name, you could tell they really loved animals. They took care of my furbaby and cost was less than expected. I would recommend to anyone!

The best employee there is Robert. He's so caring, gentle and kind. Thus the reason I didn't give 1 star. He deserves 10 out of 5 stars!!Although this happened some months ago, we have not forgotten what happened.So here was our issue.Had a dog come in for a spay. Not only did we get the wrong estimate paperwork to start with, but we when it came time to pick up our dog, we received the wrong spay paperwork. And someone else received ours.Then we noticed our dog was getting an infection from the sutures. We called them up and told them there was an infection and they didn't believe us. We argued with them and they agreed to see us that morning. Upon looking at our dog, they stated that there was no infection, but did clean around the wound. They went on to even suggest that anything that was happening with our dog was due to the fact that our dog was too low to the ground. No meds were given. By 5 pm that evening the wound looked worse and we decided to take our pet to the Animal Emergency Clinic in Grand Terrace. Waited for many hours and was told that our pet indeed had an infection and that if we had not brought our pet in that night, it would have been much worse by the next morning. The gave antibiotics as well as other medication. By the next day, the infection appeared much better.I had been a customer at Rim Animal hospital for almost 15 years, for all my Animal needs. I have no idea what has changed over there.We will now be switching to Arrowhead Animal Hospital.

They are the best Animal hospital on the mountain. Wouldn’t take my baby anywhere else. The entire staff genuinely cares about the animals. They always make my pup feel so safe and secure. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a new vet.

Our dog went in as a new patient December for exam and allergy shot. All fine. Yesterday, Went to make appt for allergy shot as my dog became itchy and uncomfortable. Made appt. fine. Apparently they have no record of her past exam and so they cancel our appt with tech and we have to book out ten days until they can accommodate their busy office schedule. I asked for an exception given my dog being uncomfortable. Told To call at 8 AM tomorrow to be scheduled. Then vet herself rudely calls back and demands that we need the appt ten days out. Sorry! I’ll drive down the hill before I give you any more of our business. Terrible!

I can not say enough good things about this clinic. Everyone I mean from the receptionist to the vet tech to the veterinarian are top notch. I will not take my dog anywhere else. If you want a place that will take the very best care of your furr babies then this is the place.

I brought my Rottweiler there for a lump on back leg which was causing him a limp. Dr Shauna tested it with a needled and said she would call in a couple days. They could xray so said I needed a new appt and he would need to be dropped off and picked up later. Made another appt but in mean time my dog was still limping. Dr Shauna called me and said it's a fatty lump. I felt that was no true, took to Loma Linda he sedated my boy and xrayed with me right there the whole time and led me know he had bone cancer. My boy is gone now but I do have 3 others and I will never go back to them again. Horrible place..except Robbie and Dr Becker. Dr Shauna has ruined this place. I've been taking my dogs there sincec1996. NEVER GO BACK.

I am a Deputy Sheriff. We took a perfect dog that was 9 years and had her check up at Rim Forest on 8/3. She was in Rim Forest for a simple teeth cleaning on 8/24. Dr Shauna Anderson removed two teeth and placed our dog on Previcox...after two days of this medication..**.read up on this medication.**our dog started to bleeding out...after two trips up to Rim Forest to try to save our dog. My wife was handed our precious London and told she had a tumor and to take her elsewhere. Totally wrong. Our beloved London died a week later from the day she had her teeth cleaned. Do not go to this hospital...your heart will be broken. Ethics and morals are not spoke in this office. Our dog can't be replaced. London was the best dog we have ever owned.

My kitty Dahlia has not been feeling well. We will know more tomorrow, but Dr. Shauna and Annabelle were terrific. They took their time and were compassionate. I feel very comfortable taking all my fur babies there.

We live in Big Bear & it's worth the minor schlep to avoid VCA (I have my own VCA horror story, as do many people I know). We are always treated so well at Rim Forest! They remember our names. My dogs each had a surgery there, & they were very accommodating of one VERY anxious & paranoid dog-mom (the dogs were fine; it's me), and their prices are so reasonable. As long as I'm on the mountain, they're our vet.Update: I still love Dr. Jon & he's the only reason there are still 3 stars. The tech who knows our names? He either wasn't there recently or is gone, because instead we got a woman whose approach to getting a 13-year-old dog who is confused, frightened, & in a great deal of pain to step on the scale is to yank his collar roughly. How about asking him, leading him, patting the scale, using loving hands to guide him? It wouldn't have taken any longer. I couldn't believe my eyes. We saw a new vet, one I'd never seen before, who was one of the rudest, most derisive & condescending people, vet or not, I've ever met. The only way I'll go there again is to have Dr. Jon himself do a surgery, & if we do, I'm making sure that tech isn't working that day. Otherwise, no distance is too far to drive to avoid having my dogs -- and me -- treated this way.

Amazing!!! I just moved back to the mountain and had my first emergency in six years with my seizure service dog Jasper. They made it so easy and I felt so safe in their care. Jasper is 4.5lbs with the cutest personality! I'm an over protective mom so impressing me at times of crisis given my alpha personality can be tough. 😉 They didn't push any unneeded tests or procedures and treated us both with kindness and respect. Feeling extremely relieved that I now have a vet I can trust near our new home. If you want peace of mind and to not be billed for unnecasary items, go with this office!!Also loved seeing all female staff! Idk if males work there but the females are kicking ass 👊🏻😁 Thank you so much ladies, truly appreciated all of your kindness!!!

We have for years taken all our animals to Rim Forest Animal Hospital and our families have also. Yes, it's not the newest facility and there could be more parking but having lived on the mountain for over 35 years you know that's the way it is for a lot of businesses. Especially ones that have been here for a time. It is always clean and orderly and the staff are professional and really try their best to accommodate your needs and the needs of your pets. We have trust in the Vets there and can tell they truly care. Dr. Teri Becker is who we usually see but have seen a couple other doctors there when needed. No one likes vet bills or any other bills for that matter but we don't feel that we have ever been taken advantage of there. Thank you for service!

My dog had some shots and got microchipped. I felt that the office was looking a bit 70s but the receptionist and vet techs were very nice. When I went into the doctors room the vet tech lowered the table and helped my dog on. She was very sweet and held him with me while he got his shots. She let him back down and then we decided to also get the microchip so he needed to get back on the table. doctor John picked up my dog and practically threw him onto the table. The vet tech actually said "OH JOHN!" Because it shocked both of us. It really wasn't a huge deal but honestly seeing a vet treat my dog that way with absolutely no care makes me not want to go back and I would never let this doctor operate on my dog. I used to live in Denver and had a dog with cancer that had to visit the doctor every month and usually the doctors are very sympathetic and kind to your pet. That's just what I've come to expect.

I brought my Labrador, Ellie in as she slipped and hurt her left front paw and was in definite pain. I was able to take her in the same afternoon.She was thoroughly examined by Dr. Becker, with the help of vet tech, Melanie.Both were thorough, professional, and gentle with my old girl. Dr. Becker confirmed that my Lab just tweaked it, and to increase the Tramadol that she is already receiving- no additional, expensive, or needless lab work or x rays as other hospitals would have insisted on. I was greatly impressed and will use them again.

This vet hospital is very run down. From the building to the people, to the equipment, to the prices.....just not even worth it. They charge you A lot and for what? Not exceptional service. I had my dog go for shots and some nail clippings and I got only the shot. It was on the paper records though. I asked about worms that my dog may have contracted and they immediately said she doesn't.......not even a look? Like can I get some concern for the animal patient here? Like what am I paying you hundreds of dollars for? Very dissatisfied. The vet in blue jay is definatly better, but, if you really want good care for great prices, go to the humane society in San Bernardino. It's worth the trip to the bottom of the hill. They are friendly, very helpful people and the facility was so clean it was surprising honestly. And they offer all the high quality services a vet can offer at the lowest price. Go there. You won't be disappointed.

If I could I would give Dr. Shawna ZERO stars.Dr. Shawana is very rude and because I do not have her beliefs she told me to shut up when I asked her a question about my dog. I do not feed kibble and that is another big issue with this vet.

Just got off a call with one of the women at the front desk answering phones. I've been here before and they handled fixing my cat beautifully a few years ago, the veterinarians are so kind. But the last thing I want is attitude and being made to feel incompetent by a staff member when I called to see about an appointment opening. I understand being understaffed right now is beyond stressful, but don't take it out on your paying customers.

We brought our dog here because he ripped off his toe nail, first visit they said we will wrap it up here's some antibiotics and hopefully it heals(didn't work). So they removed the toe nail and gave us another round of antibiotics.they had us come back a few days later so they could look at it, they looked at and changed the bandage and had us come back again a few days later, when he was brought in a technician came out removed the bandage and told us looks good keep the bandage off. 2 weeks later toe isn't healed and now swollen so we sent pictures. Doctor said oh yeah looks infected... she says he will need another round of antibiotics and to keep a cone on him because he maybe licking it. We told the doctor the tech never said to put a cone on him after removing the bandage and she basically went off saying we have gave you free this free that blah blah and DOCTOR told us don't bring our animals here anymore. I will surly never bring my animals here again and I will let people know how terrible this place is. If you need to take your pet to a vet in lake arrowhead go to blue jay animal hospital

Rim animal hospital is handling things very professionally. You sit in your car and they come out (wearing masks) to speak to you and take your pet into the hospital. They take care of your pet, bring them back to the car with a printed invoice. They take your card inside for payment and return it to you momentarily. Give you follow up advice and you are done! I highly recommend them. Parking can be challenging at times but that is the only drawback.

We just got back from a visit to this Veterinary Hospital and I was so impressed that I decided to write a review. My dog's eye was giving her some trouble. When I called to make an appt. they said they were filled for the day, but when I told them her problem, they worked to get me in that afternoon. I got there at 4:00, we waited only a few minutes and were seen. The staff is very friendly and the Veterinarian was kind, thorough and professional. I could not have been more pleased with the service. By 4:30 we were on our merry way, with prescription in hand and the cost was very reasonable...Thank you Rim Forest Animal Hospital!

Dr Shauna Anderson did a great job taking care of our dog who inhaled a foxtail in her nose (on the weekend). The staff at Rim Forest was super accommodating and helpful and fit us in same day. Highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants caring, accommodating vet service up in Lake Arrowhead area!

I brought my 15-year-old dog here after I caught her eating a dead poisoned rat. She was on prednisone for lymphoma which increases hunger. I immediately called my veterinarian in my home town of diamond bar 60 miles away. She advised me I had 30 minutes to get my Kaydee to a veterinarian. My neighbor suggested I go to rim Forest. I rushed there immediately but was turned away because I did not have an appointment. I was told to go to an emergency clinic down the mountain and they gave me the phone number. The emergency clinic would not even be open for another hour and a half. I advised the staff at this and they could care less. I would never ever recommend this place of business to anyone that loves their animals. I was absolutely incredulous other complete lack of concern. Luckily I remembered The veterinarian next to Jensen’s in blue Jay. I could barely see the road I was crying so much. When I got there they rushed me in and gave my pup medicine necessary to vomit. I had also brought the rat with me. The doctor actually did a necropsy on the rat and compared it to the amount that my dog had consumed. They actually called Home Defenders who I knew was servicing one of my neighbors. They called and found out what kind of poison was being used. They also called my Veterinarian in diamond bar to request all my dogs records. My vet immediately faxed over everything.Arrowhead Animal Hospital saved my pets life. They wanted to monitor my pet, even though they had closed for business by this time-it did not matter to them. Saving my Kaydee was more important. I will never forget the kindness they showed me and my sweet Kaydee!
