This Petco specifically is the worse! I have never seen so many dead fish here. Look at my photos! There’s fish eating the dead fish. I came here to buy fish but found that many were dead. You can tell that all the tanks aren’t cleaned properly. What is going on!?The Petco in Summit is by far the most cleanest and well taken care store I’ve ever been to. I will continue going to that location because this store here in Redlands needs to be under investigation.

I haven’t been to Petco in quite awhile. It’s not as well kept as it was before and instead of having really nice aisles like in the past, it looks like stacks of things everywhere. Not appealing or helpful when trying to find something. The register area doesn’t even look like a normal register area, it looks like a desk to sign up for a 5k race. Staff was whatever. No emotion, very robotic responses, walking away while you ask them a question , like don’t ask me anything more. Customer service is nonexistent in this day and age

I made an appointment for a simple check up for my baby kitten. The person on the phone made it very clear that all it will be is a simple check up. She said that there will be no vaccines or medicine given to my pet. I was perfectly fine with that, I just wanted to use the free coupon and get my kitten checked out. Once I made it to the store, whoever was at the front desk didn’t let me get my kitten checked. She made a thousand excuses about how my kitten can’t get a quick check up. Saying “there’s not enough time.” I wasted my money coming there, I literally had no ride. Only for me to be pushed away when I made an appointment. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! Very unprofessional. How hard was it to do a simple check up for my baby kitten? I could’ve spent my time somewhere else.

Excellent customer service every encounter. 4 stars because I order store pickup and there have been a few times the vacuumed dog food was slit open causing it not to be fresh. I believe this is occurring when pallets or boxes are being open. I usually catch it, but the last pickup I mentioned it and given another bag. Me not checking it, got home and it was another bag sliced open. This has happened at least 5 times since I have been picking up and twice where I didn’t catch it. The dog food is Orejin Large Puppy Grain Free 23lbs.

They should be more concerned about the student workers they bring in. The guy I asked for help to find something for pond algae took me to the aquariums, looked at me, and never said a word. I luckily saw another employee that seemed more knowledgable.

I have never been inside a Petco, I very much appreciated it. I've always bought any pet supplies I need from Walmart or Target. I am not one that is going to buy my cats and dogs some food that needs to go in the fridge that is similar to human food I will just buy them dry dog and cat food. However for that type of owner I was so surprised to see the variety of food for the pets it was like a mini grocery store. I also like that they do have a self wash service station so you can wash your pets. It was also great to see them sell full kits for whatever pet you had a chameleon, turtle, fish, birds etc. So you know that you have everything to get started for the type of pet that you want to get.

I find this location lacking staffing and aisles could be better laid out. The n..fontana store has spoiled me; though it should be noted that the staff here do an amazing job in addressing questions and products need.

I have never had my dog turned away for aggression or anything like that at any groomer. As any dog, she was a bit fearful at first. The groomers always try to comfort her for a bit before taking her in, and they always say she was fine. This time, the lady I had the appointment with didn't even try for more than 30 seconds. My dog growled at her and she right away said she can't groom her and turned us away. This specific lady has worked w my dog before and said she was fine! It just seemed like she was in a mood today and didn't want to deal with my dogs long hair.

I always buy my dogs food from here. I love the store. My only issue is that the store needs more employees. There’s never anyone on the floor to ask a question. You basically have to wait in line and ask the cashiers if there is enough of them available. Overall the ones who are there are very nice and helpful

Never answer the phone when I call no matter how many times I do so just to ask a price on a pet they sell.. and cashier made it a point to me that the dog food i was buying was trash . Why do they sell it if it's trash?. I wonder if corporate teaches them this tactic to try and up sell us? Get it together Petco of redlands

Went here for dogfish. Staff was 5-star, helpful and nice. 2 stars is because you pay $20 bucks and the dryers absolutely SUCKS! TWO things you need for a good dog wash! SOAP and good dryers.

I am a 78-year-old male and I am diabetic the day that I shopped at Petco I needed to use the restroom that's in your Redlands California store. The store personnel would not allow me to use the restroom. However they allowed other patrons to use the restroom before me asking to use the restroom. I think that is really cold and I will definitely not shop there again

Long review (which I never do but so annoyed with my experience). Ran out of cat food, it was a rainy day so figured I would set up a petco account since they were doing a $20 off special for new customers. Ordered at 9:00 for same day delivery (expected delivery window 12:00pm-4:00pm), 4:45 rolls around so I check status and there is no update. Called customer service and was told they are not sure why it was never sent out for delivery and put me on hold multiply times to "look into it". They said to allow 24 hours for the team to get it figured out. I said I needed the order today, that is why I did same day delivery. I asked if I could just go to the store and pick up the order and was told no that I would have to wait for it to be delivered. I couldn't wait so I then placed an online order and paid again to just drive to get it. The email said to either go in to pick up or I could do curbside pick up which I loved. Drove 15 mins to the location, called the store and let it ring for a couple of minutes and ended up just going in. When I walked inside I was looking for online orders but didn't see anything. The line had about 15 people in it so I asked an employee where to go for online pick up and was told I would have to wait in line. Line was taking forever so called curbside pick up number again and you could hear it ringing and literally only 1 employee looked like he was working. He finally picked up asked for the order name and told me to pull up front and he would bring it out in a couple of minutes. Was trying to pull up front but it's a red zone and lots of traffic so couldn't just park there. Ended up having to park and get out to grab it from the employee. For a business if you can't support same day delivery then don't offer it, if you allow online orders then make a separate line for pick up and if you offer curbside pick up have a designated spot for it and not expect people to park in the red zone and stop traffic. Will never order from them again.

Alyssa choked my dog to the point that he was wheezing for air. Set aside the rude welcoming. I came early to my appointment and a child (with his dad) asked to pet my dog and Alyssa didn’t have 30 seconds of patience to allow it. If I could give a zero on professionalism I would. I brought my dog for a grooming appointment. As almost every dog, he was nervous and shy to be left alone at the groomers. Alyssa who should be a professional with dogs, was pulling and tugging with her Petco leash so hard my dog was gasping and wheezing for air. I had my dogs leash and collar on and even though at this point I’m yelling at her that I have his leash on and in control of my dog, she would not release her tight grip on my dog. I felt so uncomfortable leaving my dog here, I canceled our appointment.

Love my groomer Emma! She has worked two VERY fearful Great Danes into looking forward to seeing her and loving her. My other three are easy-peezy Danes and also just love her. She is gentle and kind with them and always takes care of them as if they were her own. Love this lady! Petco, you have a gem with her! You need to take great care of her because people like her don’t come around any too often!

Worst PetCo wash station EVER!!! It was not clean, the water was cold & the dryer! Awful experience for my Shih Tzu & me! We are from Texas and thought this would be a good idea. DO NOT use this wash station! Zero stars!

I have two cats so I can shop here as they have a rewards program. The cashier talked me into purchasing the vital care premium program. Although I thought I was paying monthly it is actually a yearly subscription. If you tried to cancel it you still have to pay for the remainder of the year! 😠 I was never told that at the cash register. In my opinion, you do not get a deal, you end up paying much more than it is worth. You can add on a second pet if you have multiple pets but the price will double.. It is actually a misleading program and I had to wrestle on the phone with customer service to get out of the subscription. A lot of misinformation to the customer was provided in the store 😠 my advice, please know what you are signing up for. Whatever the cashier tells you in the store, call customer service to verify and validate that information. You do get 10% off of all foods, and you get $15 a month in coupons.. overall I found out that it was not worth it. There is a free vital care program, I am sticking with that one.

I use to like this store but can't say I do at the moment. The last 3 times I have come to this store for feeders for my reptiles I have waited over 20 min for help. If understand if they were busy but today, 9/29/23, that isn't the case. I asked a female associate for assistance and she rolled her eyes at me and told me "one minute." 15 minutes later I watched her walk up to other patrons and even organized boxes behind the register, never once acknowledge me again. It would be so bad if there had been any carts in the front to put my baby in so I wasn't standing there holding a baby and the items I was planning on buying. I ended up leaving my items where I was standing and left to go to the PetSmart in the same shopping center.which doesn't say much since there was absolutely no selection of dog collars. 80% of the shelves were empty. Worst shopping experience I have ever had.

Went here to get my dog groomed. I had an appointment and they said he was matted. He wasn’t. They’re literally just lazy. They were very rude. So I took my dog to a real groomer and he’s fluffy and adorable. Just go to a real groomer.

Self wash is so bad. It was dirty, people were sharing supplies, tubs were not cleaned. The dryers are a joke they will not dry even a short haired dog. Not worth the money.

I find it silly that some products you can buy for half price online, but if you want to buy it off the shelf the price spikes.Anyhow, the self-wash bath station is great. They give you all the tools you need to bathe your dog (I brought my own shampoo), including an apron to keep you from getting too messy, for a fraction of the cost of a grooming. I'll definitely be bringing my dog back to bathe here. Read the instructions on the wall before you start, though. I didn't even notice them, so I ended up backtracking after I'd gotten her all soaked (mostly in regards to the green strap you're supposed to use to secure your dog into the bath).

Came in to use the grooming station. Receptionist was very nice and informative.I am giving a negative review due to the lack of effort grooming management gave to my concern about the animal dryer not operating correctly at the self grooming station.When asked about the dryer the receptionist was informed that it is set that low to not hurt my animal.When asked about the pressure being that low, no check on their equipment wService conducted to confirm if it was a malfunction or not.The receptionist at the time came up with an alternative of providing extra towels while management did nothing.I’ve been to other Petco grooming stations in Houston and the dryers from my experience at least provided enough power to do the job nothing over whelming.Honestly a waist of 20$ in my opinion. Definitely will not be using this service again.Service used: 09152023 around 4:30pm

Update Jan 2022: 🐶 Dog wash stations are great! Blow dryers, not so great... The shampoo and conditioner left my dogs coat nice and shiny. The basket with towels and a comb-out brush was a nice touch. If you HV a large dog, bring your own towels, 2 hand towels won't do the job especially since the blower is like a blow dryer on low with a cool setting, won't dry much🙄. REASONABLE, $15/dog.----------Clean and followed mask mandate and social distancing for those in line. Bummer that they didnt carry what I was looking for…
