This place is great! it is family owned and they have a huge selection of snakes, lizards, and other reptiles. They are reasonably priced and all animals are well cared for. They are knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely recommend this place. It's a cool place to go and check out even just to look.

Amazing people! Google messed up and showed they would be open Christmas Eve from 10-2… so I had planned on going then so it would be easier, hiding a living critter and all. When I realized they were closed I called the number and no answer, yep really closed :(Well it’s not the first time Google was wrong about someone’s hours. A while later the owner of the company actually called me back, on Christmas Eve! And offered to meet me down at the shop! Truly this is why it’s important to support real people and their businesses.

I been a customer for a while. I enjoy seeing all the animals. The staff are great. The staff knows about the animals. Prices are the best. Some of my animals I didn't get there. Big rats for my big snake. It's my go to place to get bugs and rodents

I recently went in to look around and was pretty saddened by the snakes that have to live in very small containers with no substrate or room to move. There looked to be about 50 containers on the rack. Hopefully you guys can think of a more humane and stimulating way to store the snakes until sold.

Was waiting for our pizza and the kids wanted to check it out. It was really cool! It's also a rescue with some really big and cool animals. The staff was really cool to talk to also. Gained a lot of knowledge about all the animals. If you go, pay the small fee for the rescue room tour. Was the best time I believe I've ever had waiting for pizza.

I'm not entirely sure how to start this review as there is much to say. The expertise and knowledge behind the counter is absolutely unmatched in Redding. While my girlfriend and I love the staff at both PetCo and PetSmart, we have a bearded dragon and were a little bit over our head when we first got her. They were knowledgable and informed us hey this, this and this are wrong and you should try this instead. So we did just that and we have a happy little beardie who is loving life and chasing bugs like never before. So to the staff at Redding Reptile Lizette (our beardie) says thank you.

I'm not a huge reptile fan. I went in with my family. But I can tell when a place is unbeatable in customer service. This place has knowledgeable employees/owners. I believe the folks who own it also operate it. Great selection at reasonable prices. I like to keep places like this in business.

I very much enjoy going there! It's one of the best reptile places I have been too. So other many places don't care about their animals just want them sold. Go there every week to pick up feeders for my ball pythons. The only issue I have is sometimes they don't have the correct size but that's not their fault, I do wish they were open at a later time or earlier time so I didn't have to go when feeders is out of stock.Their reptile room is awesome, loved the big enclosures for the reptiles being kept back there. It was amazing to see the Emerald Tree Boa and the Tegus, wondering if they'll ever get any in to purchase 👀They have helped me a lot when it comes to getting into breeding ball pythons myself and don't discriminate me for wanting to breed my own.Just overall they're a fantastic reptile rescue and ball python breeders!

Great customer service , experienced staff , and great prices. This place is the only spot I go to for questions or help with my snake. This is, admittedly, my first reptile but I've come in before for recommending on what I should start with, also misconceptions, and all the good information I needed. The staff also makes it comfortable to ask questions and learn without feeling like you should already know your stuff. They also take really good of the animals they sell, and make sure to fully fill you in that day . Really an amazing place!

The prices are in line with the quality of their merchandise. Staff is knowledgeable and shares that knowledge freely and courteously. Best place for reptiles and reptile supplies in the area. They also hold raffles for complete reptile setups, which is a bonus.

I’ve been in here quite a few times. I came in the first time impressed with quality and service, and then slowly each time after that I became more and more disappointed. The men working the counter, and primary owner don’t show very incredible customer service, and seem to brush many people off from what I’ve seen. Aside from that, in asking for recommendations for rat sizes for my ball python, they grossly over AND under sized them consistently (which I did not realize until I moved cities and found much more knowledgeable stores.) which often led to a feeding refusal.There are also rats on occasion that are scattered among the store because they’ve escaped their little bin (or tub) and the owners have the dog sniff and inspect for the rat’s location and encourage the dog to go after the rats.Their return policy is also intensely disappointing as I’ve had some friends buy from them, and they don’t seem willing to work with people who need a refund, and it seems like they like trying to convince people that the purchase discrepancy was their own error.Regardless, I understand people come to this store because there are still very good resources here, and I encourage people to come here still because this is a small business, but improvements need to be made.

Such a wonderful reptile store. We are lucky to have a place in Northern California where reptiles are welcome and celebrated as more than a binge buy.I have been going to their facility for a little over a year now and each experience has been a pleasure.They have an educational exhibit where new hobbyists can learn about the reptiles they want to keep, or more commonly see reptiles the majority of us will never be able to keep.Stop on by and support local businesses and the families behind them.

Best service ive ever recieved for the education of reptiler. The staff was WAY more helpful than I expected and helped me understand my pets better. Both owners were there and both were more than willing to jump in for a beginner pet owner. Im impressed and have found out new home for shopping supplies. Yes, they are a little more expensive than box stores but they care deeply for thier animals and it shows. Thank you Redding Reptile!!!

We are very inexperienced semi-new bearded dragon owners learning from internet and we went in to get crickets, the owner and her sons were so amazingly kind ! We decided after seeing their dragons compared to ours that we needed to get ours nails clipped and get some advice. Let me tell you that was the best decision we made! They were so encouraging and helped us figure out correct lighting and even helped our dragon eat some worms as he had never had live insects. They did not make us feel stupid or bad that our dragon was under weight and not getting enough UV light (I know we felt horrible) . I would 1000× over recommend them for everything reptile, they are kind , knowledgeable and helpful !

Best pet store in town if you like reptiles. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and seem to want what is best for the customer and not their wallet. They won't try to sell you the most expensive thing if you don't need it... unlike the other places. The pets here are clean and well cared for. I can't wait too see what they do next! Very highly recommended.
