Great verity of meats and seafood, staff is very friendly, helpful and instantly greet you as soon as you walk in. And their Dawnies baked goods are absolutely delicious. Have to get one for a dessert! And they are locally owned and ran which always makes everything better. Definitely recommend!

I was in line today around 2:30 on the date of 4/30. The younger woman ringing up our items proceeded to ask me if I had naturally curly hair just to tell me that my hair looks crappy and it didn’t look good. I had some choice words for her but I held my tongue and proceeded to walk out as quick as possible. She sounded stupid. RnR this is a customer service no no. Working customer service, I had the utmost respect for my customers. Next time I come in, I hope to see her. You never know what kind of day someone is having.

Right before entering, you need to grab a ticket, and then you can order when the number is called. Extremely busy during lunchtime, but very quick to get orders out. Also, meat is high quality and has decent deals. Definitely recommended!

I fully enjoy going in to R & R. I have been going in since I was a kid with my mom, and now I go in as a 34 y/o adult. I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a loaf of their sourdough while you're there. And keep an eye on their weekly specials.Their holiday prime rib roast was absolutely phenomenal.

Excellent selections of seafood and meat, (did not check for poultry.) Smoked salmon delicious, although a bit salty. A small section for misc groceries/produce to help keep errands to one stop. Safeway really close if they don't have what you need. Good parking, convenient location, nice staff. Will definitely go back.

I live an hour and a half away from Redding. I was on my way to R & R meats and realized I was going to be cutting it close to when they close. I called as a last ditch effort to see if they would fill an order for me and I would get there as they were closing or within a minute of them closing. They were so understanding and took my order and card information. I ended up getting there a minute after closing and they were just finishing up my order. I could go to a closer meat market but R & R has always been super friendly and have great quality and good prices.

Amazing clam chowder, unfortunately seasonal. Great staff,that move quick even when busy. Lots of meats and seafood. Some stuff is seasonal only. They have bread ,rubs, and sauces. Beef,pork,chicken, in-house sausages chorizo, sausage. Lots to choose from.Go check them out if you haven't or need a selection of great stuff.

I would normally give R&R a 5 star review. I have gone into their market for several years and experienced great quality meat and the best prices around. I recently ordered 30 pounds of ground pork for a recipe I'm bringing to an event. I was told I could pick it up anytime after noon the next day. To start with the girl rings up the sale for 3.99 per pound when it was only 3.49 in the display. No big deal mistakes happen and she 'discounted' it to 3.49. The problem arouse with the quality, there was substantially more fat than usual. I air fry my meatballs and always buy the pork from r&r there was easily 3 times more fat in the tray. The meat also had an old/stale taste to it, I'm assuming from the added fat. Highly disappointed, money and time wasted.

THE best place for freshest seafood, meats and the clam chowerder is so creamy and delicious. 35 min wait to get inside and get our Dungeness crab for Christmas Eve. Staff was super busy but also very very nice and were busting there behinds helping customers. Come here all year for quality meats, seafood and service!

Great steaks, with occasional sales that are a smoking deal. Best bacon in town, thick cut and smoked. Grass fed liver, and meats are at amazingly good prices. The service is top notch, they will package your meat and slice it to your specifications. Truly Redding's best place to get meat.

This place was super busy; my first time 11/03/2020. The meat seems fresh but the prosciutto Parma does not taste right. It's $11.99 a lb.. they had Columbia brand prosciutto as well. It had a bake ham flavor more then a cure ham. I buy prosciutto a lot. I'll stick to my old location for prosciutto. But they do have a lot of other meat selections.

Best in Norcal and honestly one of the best in the country.I've been able to get swordfish/sea bass on request (during season) and fulfilled in short time. Similarly they can get fresh organ meat per request if it isnt on the shelf. Their seafood quality rivals the best butcher shops in socal/Bay area. Beef/chicken/pork quality is 10/10 and they have the greatest value wagyu in all of California. (I just need to stop blowing my paychecks on it every other time)My friends/family in socal and oregon visit me in Redding and take home ice chests full of R&R cuts every trip. That's how perfect this place is. There's a reason that the best restaurants in the region go to R&R wholesale after all...

Great selection of meats that I can always count on that's going to be Cut Above anything you would find at Walmart or some of the surrounding stores. You can even find good quality exotic cuts Like the Columbia River Steelhead that's brought in from Washington and Oregon sourced locally which is what I like. You won't find this at Walmart.It can be busy and you have to take a number and wait for it to be called because of this meat Deli Style service it works really well with people who are knowledgeable about cuts of meat and many who have tried most everything in the store so they can give you an honest opinion on what it tastes like or how it cooked up as well as really fast service when you tell them you want one pound of bacon it's wrapped up real quick in freezer paper. And on to the next thing...I thought they were going to be expensive because meat is just generally expensive no matter what time of day it is but they actually specialize in this product so it's going to be cheaper to you as they buy in bulk. Even better deals that you would get at Walmart they probably sell more than all of the local stores combined here. So now when I need to get meat I think of all the meals I need to prepare for the week and then buy accordingly at R&R and now these are great meals with good quality meat. That just keeps me a happy customer.🙂

The staff is amazing!! All are extremely hard working people and good attitudes during super busy times. Love this place. Really yummy lamb cuts in back freezer too!

Great selection of cuts at a great price for some and decent prices for others. My only gripe is that their customer service is great by the workers but not the best in one circumstance by a manager.They had a deal for 30% off a meat cut so I went in and got 2 lbs. of it. When I got home I realized the price was a little high so I double checked the weight and realized they forgot to give the discount. This isn’t a big deal since the discount was just emailed out the day before so I totally get maybe some people weren’t updated or just forgot to check. However, how it was handled next is what knocked a star off for me.I called the store explaining what happened, they connected me to a manager, and they said come in and get credit or just get another pound of that meat (so I would’ve evened out either way).So I gotta drive back out there on my lunch break, let them correct the mistake just to be back to even, and make the drive back.I feel like for the inconvenience of making a customer double the trip due to a mistake on your end means you throw something extra in. Nothing big, just something to say “sorry for the extra inconvenience since you had to waste another 35 minutes of your day.” I mean it could’ve been a $5 rub thrown in for all I care, it’s just the principle that counts. It’s like if a waiter at a restaurant forgot to put an order in for like 30 extra minutes: yes you still get your meal, but if the delay is significant enough just throw in some free drinks or fries because you’ve wasted people’s time unnecessarily at that point.I’ve read some other reviews that apparently had the same experience. So yeah overall get your meats here because it’s an amazing place still, but just something of note.This review is really only for the business owner’s awareness just to let them get a pulse on the customer experience. Once is not a big deal, especially for me, but if this happens every time a mistake is made by the R&R team it might have a greater impact overtime.Edit: Taking another star off. Just went back and the same manager as mentioned above got me a meat selection, wrapped it in butchers paper, and then just handed me the cut with meat juice on the outside of the wrap. Every other time I went AND every other person there at the time got their stuff put in a bag. Second time this manager just handed me the stuff straight with some meat juice on the outside of the wrap and no bag. Also I’m pretty sure they wrapped wearing the same gloves they used to handle the meat, which isn’t a big deal if they got it in a bag, but just makes it worse that they didn’t. I’m just surprised a butcher shop out of all places would negate this.
