I like Grocery Outlet for a quick stop to pick up something I need, or to just browse the unusual items I don’t see at other stores. It’s much for convenient to grab something quickly than a full-size supermarket.

The original "Scratch & Dent" store in its' original Redding location, it's still the best place for many food & grocery store type items. I have also bought new shirts, jackets & patio furniture at thrift store prices. Their natural competition is Trader Joe's and Safeway, not Winco or Costco. Apart from the beer & wine selection which is justly famous for variety & value, the store is full of treasures, imports, and absolute gems. Take your time sifting through them & enjoy the journey, savor the savings.DOUG out

Grocery outlet is no longer inexpensive, they lies absurdly about their elsewhere price and items are always cheaper at Winco, which is a one stop shop. Stopped going here a year or so ago

It's Grocery Outlet so you can't be picky about what you're getting or specifically where items are, but the shelves are generally well stocked and the store is clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Only downside is a lack of digital connectivity that would allow price comparisons (since that's the whole reason to shop at Grocery Outlet). I'll continue to shop here because of the savings and quantity of products! They also do have several regular items that bring us in, so good job there!

I am so sad to leave this review as this has been my go-to place to shop for years. The customer service has gone so far downhill that today was officially my last visit. After bringing it to their attention multiple times over the past 6+ months…. with no remedy, I would rather take my business elsewhere. They just don’t seem to care.There is one cashier in particular who is not only non-friendly, but actually simply rude and continues to refuse to bag anything for her customers. Even when asked. She doesn’t say “hi” or greet you when you walk up to her station, and appears to do her best to actually ignore you. This cashier is what one would see and describe as a “lazy worker,” which, on top of her rude attitude, makes for not only a non-positive experience, but a negative one. She very clearly does not like her job and does not want to be there. If you’ve been there, you surely know who I’m talking about: 20’s, glasses, black/dark hair usually in a ponytail. And always one of the only couple of cashiers available, unfortunately.I do have to say some of the workers on the floor are incredibly kind! Very much so, and often trying to be helpful. They are the reason for the two stars. I appreciate them.I stopped buying produce there months ago as it was often moldy on the shelves and, if it wasn’t moldy, it would go bad/moldy within a couple days of getting it home.A brief scroll of other reviewers will show mention of these same couple issues multiple times over.If you want a positive shopping experience (especially at check-out) and fresh produce, I would sadly suggest avoiding this location. :(

Went shopping on July 3rd and bought sweet peppers and oranges which was already in bags to come home and find mold on both! Also bought cabbage and now me and both of my children have salmonella! Do NOT buy produce from here!!!

Items are so expensive, you can head on over to winco and get a better, cheaper shopping experience. I’ve stopped going to grocery outlet. Use to go 3-4 times a week.

Grocery outlet is always a great place to shop. I bought all sorts of stuff there from sweatshirts to vitamins and juice and meat and baking goods the bread selections great beer so you got to look everywhere though.. surprising deals everywhere 🔥

I definitely like Grocery Outlets in Anderson better. Better prices in Anderson it seems to me that Grocery outlet in Redding is trying to be a Raleys. Very unsociable worker's.

I love grocery outlet my favorite grocery store the only thing they don't have is a fresh meat counter but I'll tell you what they got all kinds of wonderful food there to eat lots of delicacies things you don't seem a lot of the other markets good stuff

Always new merchandise so you can't count on the same items being available during your next visit. Decent prices. Average to good selection. My friend has found some of her favorite wines here including a seasonal chocolate merlot.

Out of all the Grocery outlets in the area this one seems to have the best product variety and availability overall. I frequently will come to town and pass one or two of the other Grocery Outlet stores till I get to this one by the post office.The organics aisle is longer than what is featured at most stores with a larger selection of craft beers, high end dog and cat food. During spring and summer they sell a variety of flowers at great prices. I've purchased over 40 flowers from this location alone.Wonderful staff and the manager is always super friendly and helpful.
