The produce is not fresh. They needed more employees/cashiers. The floors were always dirty and the rest rooms were locked up, customers couldn't use their rest rooms anymore. And some of the employees were not nice when asked where something is. They use to be only 99 cents, then they raised the prices and still kept the store name as 99 cent only store. It was not just 99 cents only. Awesome finds in there yeah and I love the 99 cent store.

This is a big location. Most shelves were bare and extremely disorganized. The flow of the store seemed off compared to other stores. Household items were not in one section they were kinda here and there. You definitely had to go up and down ALL the isles to find anything. Many shoppers were in the back section, which was mainly food items. Don't think I'll make the extra trek to shop here when there are more Dollar Tree stores in the area and are better kept. With better stock as well.

I have always had good experiences at our Redding 99 cent store. Good customer service, lots of selection and store is always pretty clean. The only down side is the outside of the store is most of the time dirty and has a lot of trash laying around. The area has a lot of transit people and for some reason they trash the place.

The store is ok, but the produce section lacks a lot to be desired. The produce isn't maintained and draws a lot of fruit flies. Most of the produce is old and not worth buying. The grapes the other day were smashed to the point of being unusable and had lots of molded grapes in the bags. The ones that weren't molded were mostly old looking. All the bags, not just a few.On the other hand, three weeks ago I got the very best grapes I have ever had at this same store for a very reasonable price. They were "candy" grapes. I haven't seen the same brand since then. They still have candy grapes, but they are from a different producer, and the price is doubled. They are in a plastic box, though, so they aren't squished like the rest of the in-stock grapes, but you have to be picky because they still have the problem of being old looking if you aren't really choosy.Overall, the store is getting some great products, but their prices seem to be increasing commiserably.

So I stopped in this store yesterday and as I was walking inside a homeless gentleman asked me if I could get him something to eat. I told him sure and asked him what I should get him and he told me and I went inside to look for what he asked me to buy him but I could not find it. I came back to him and asked him to come in with me and show me what he wanted to eat and I would purchase it for him. As he walked inside with his small knapsack, the cashier told him that he had to leave his bag outside. Now it was raining and I had a bag and she did not tell me that I had to leave my bag outside. I asked the cashier if she had planned to watched the gentleman's bag while he acconpanied me to get something to eat and she did not respond. A gentleman that saw and heard what was happening offered to watch the guy's bag. Honestly, yes the homeless might steal but they are still human beings and deserve to be treated with decency and respect and as humans as well...I was very disappointed...In fact I am very very disappointed with how this city and community treats the homeless especially the hotels that are charging ridiculous prices way above what a hotel room costs in Time Square or San Francisco...and many of the persons treating the homeless badly in this city claim that they are Christians...God does not like ugly...

They have a wide variety of useful items at a good price...could use an extra cashier at times, but for the most part its alright in that area.

99 cent store is the bomb. Their prices are obviously cheap, they accept ebt, and the employees have always been nice to me. Highly recommend to anyone stopping by and need to grab some food. They also do have vegan and vegetarian options for the grass people.

No deals here anymore. Too expensive to make sense anymore. They did have a dress I loved though. I already have too many clothes though. Do have excellent gardening supplies in spring

Busy store. They do an ok job trying to help everyone but they need a better system. Then again it is a 99 cent store, what more do I need to say. Nice people mostly.

It’s an okay place !! They should have the consumer regulations department make them change there name to “ the used to be 99 cent store “ !!!! You would be hard pressed to find anything in the store that is that price anymore!! Plus there can be twenty people waiting in line to check and only one check out line open with an employee who only has one speed and that’s extra slow !!! I won’t go back there!!!

I love the new items they have that's more than 99 cents, I bought a full length mirror that hangs over the door and love it and was so easy to put up. Very nice. I bought 2 dog beds at a low price that my Yorkies love. I always buy my lactose free milk there is a better price and grade A.

Whoa!I have avoided these store for over 20 plus years. The only one I had ever noticed was Oakland and all the others, I thought they were just the same. Messy unkept shelves but wow! I was amazed and will return. This particular one was awesome

Clean store, alot of merchandise to choose from. Had exactly what we were looking for, and at a great price. Friendly sales associate. Our cashier took the time to show a older couple how to use their card in the machine. Great customer service.

I love the .99 cent store. I'm giving a rating of 4 because it was very dirty and a lot of things weren't hung up properly, I touched 3 different items and the racks actually fell out of the wall {1/4} piece of the peg board. Probably from customers. I went to one in in Modesto and it was immaculate. And had so many products you can see and touch. The stores not super bad. Some of the employees have attitudes but they're worked to death.

Nice store. Some good values. Unfortunately a lot of shady characters walking around filling their pockets. Even the cashier was telling me it was a huge problem & had 8 people just that day stealing stuff and there is nothing he can do about it. You can tell he really cared. That location should really hire a security guard or something. Other than that it was clean and tidy, had good selection, and organized.

I’m sure the store and staff are fine, but it’s the street/homeless/beg for money folks hanging around in/outside that make this a dicey spot for me.Was here for returns that my wife bought. Seeing this place now for myself… I’m asking her to not return out of an abundance of caution for her safety.I’ll gladly spend the extra $ wherever she shops if she doesn’t return here.

Shelves are a little bare and prices have gone up asking with everybody else due to cost of living. However it's still a great place to shop with great selections and I find things I can't find anywhere else. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Can always find what I need and at a great price😃

To bare of items. Never know if they'll have what you need or not . Plus the prices are more expensive than Walmart and other big box stores. I just paid 2.99 for onions and there only 1.99 at Safeway store . Noticed that a lot now. Low on so much and what's there isn't that cheap. I give it under 5 yrs to go under. Just like the dollar store. All will loose out to big box and online shopping.

Forgot my credit card and cashier brought it out quickly. I walked quickly over to her so I could let her go back to work. I haven't been there for a.long time because I just usually come to my appointments in Redding and eat there and go home. I like that they have a lot of selections.

Nuuuuuuuu!!!! I went here recently and there aren't as many funny toys as their used to be. The store used to have multiple toy isles. But can't complain because they have alot of household items now. Just bought a glue gun so I can build a popsicle stick fort for fun :)

If I could give it less I would. Everything is a scam in there. It is a whole store devoted to the impulse buy section. All the electronics are broken in package. All the food that would be a good deal is surprising discussing. And all the food at is half way decent is even more expansive than Walmart. The app is a joke. They are they only store ever to list prices with 2 decimals like gas (1.99.99). The store isn't even clean. Just go the the dollar store. That is what you are really looking for.

This store is very dirty the employees are very rude and there are approximately 5 to 10 shopping carts available. There are always homeless people hanging around the front of the store begging from customers. I would definitely not recommend this place.

I love this store. Anyone that thinks it higher than Walmart is put of there mind. And people that say it's dirty what do they want the red carpet rolled out for them. I go here about every two weeks to do my shopping and I can get everything here except meat. Plus it saves money to play with. Love you guys
