Jason the owner is a very intelligent fish keeper. He knows what he’s talking about and gives an explanation about every single thing. Instead of just telling you a bunch of nonsense he asks you the questions so you understand the properties of certain fish and supplies. He ended up helping me buy a fish which I was a few dollars short and he’s a really cool dude. He doesn’t try to scam 50 bucks out of you like any other competitor and he gives his honest opinion about everything. He’s helped me with my uncycled tank with one product instead of trying to get me to buy all those watered down solutions like Petco or PetSmart. He really tries to get you to understand what the right thing to do is instead of following what the internet says which taught me to never follow the internet and call him instead.

Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about fish! He educated us on so much with genuine and honest consideration on our tank and fish. His shop is clean and prices list accurately reflect what is inside. It is a little further of a drive for up but we won't hesitate to come back.

Made the drive from Temecula to visit the shop today and was far from disappointed. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and holds a high standard when it comes to the quality of livestock and the shop itself. For a smaller store there was an excellent variety of coral ranging from lower end to higher end pieces at a great price (even had a buy 2, get 1 sale going on). Ended up chatting with him about the hobby in general for over an hour and he was in no way reluctant to share tons of information. Overall learned a ton and was very pleased with the visit. I will definitely be back!

So, Me and my lil brother went in today to buy a new gold fish ! And first we gotta give a shoutout to our new friend Sean/Shawn! He was soooo helpful and super nice ! He is very knowledgeable about fish and we felt good asking him for advice when it came to maintaining our fishes so that their happy and healthy . Also love this place & how it has a variety of colorful, amazing fish ! This place knows what they are talking about when it comes to fish and maintaining them in good shape ! Me and the lil brothers new place for our fish . Can’t wait to get more!!!

First time in the store today, and this was by far the BEST fish store in the county!!! Great prices, amazing corals, healthy fish, and extremely knowledgeable staff! The display tanks were pristine and very well kept along with the fish. Seriously can NOT beat the prices on coral and having a larger reef tank this makes a huge difference! Also had a great selection on frozen foods (including Rods, which is somewhat hard to find out here.) This will be the ONLY store I continue to go to for my saltwater/ reef needs from now on.

I've been coming to this place for years and Jason, the owner, is a very friendly and knowledgeable person. He goes out of his way to assist. My pump went out and Jason ordered and got the new pump the next day. He came to my house and helped me change it for no additional charge. I buy my water from him because his water is properly balanced with salt and other required chemicals. My tank looks awesome due to the water and the advice I get from Jason and Sean.

This store has clean tanks, a wide variety of saltwater fish to look at, and a great selection of both inexpensive and expensive coral pieces. After visiting all the other stores in the Inland Empire we found this one a clear favorite. The livestock is well organized so they won't kill/maim each other or get sick while in store; the owner knows what he talking about when you ask him questions. He cares about his livestock and keeps it as healthy has possible while in his care. His ten dollar frag tank can't be beat!! Great for reefers on a budget. Prices match or beat competitors in the area. Other stores are dirty and filled with disease ridden fish; and incompatible fish all in the same tank. This store keeps the fish well organized and safe from each other. Five stars, hands down the best place to buy anything saltwater in the IE.

The place has just been remodeled so the place have new display tank that are super nice and clean i just bought a beautiful hippo tang. I have been a loyal customer of this place for 5 years. Tropical reef sells healthy fish and for a good price.If you have not been here in awhile you need to stop in and see the new setup!!!!

Jason has some great African Cichlids. I bought from him a few weeks ago some Taiwan Reefs and a few other peacocks and they have colored up great in my tank!Will definitely be back for some more soon!

Jason was very knowledgeable and helpful when I was setting up my aquarium. When it came to buying a fish he inspected it before selling it to me to ensure it was healthy. I'll be getting more fish from him soon.

Nice corals but owner lies about water quality he sells acts like his salt water is the answer to all problems. Told me he adds supliments to his water and brought it home and tested it found out calcium is 380 ppm no where near what a reef tank should be nor would that solve my problems and make it so I would have to dose. I dont like a staff member to lie to me about the product I am buying and he charges alot for the water so to find out it wasnt what was promised let me down. Dont buy his water cost to much and isnt any better then others I have found.

Wow, is this place a reef store? I couldn't tell because it seemed like some guy's dirty garage or basement to me.Most of the tanks were empty, clown fish (he probably breeds them at home himself) and some leather corals (again, probably frags them at home himself) are about all he has in stock.Tanks and store are dirty, owner is rude. Don't waste your time, your average corner pet store will probably have a better selection of fish, corals and products and more helpful people.

This is my go-to store for my 6 year old reef tank. I get my water here- both RO and pre-mixed salt, which Jason always helps me load into my car. Unlike some stores where people will sell you stuff that you don't need or might hurt you or will just die (beautiful but cold water snails or venomous fish or useless chemicals) Jason is honest and does his research - he will find what you need to know and show it to you in his books right there at the store. Jason keeps me updated on local reef events, and when I need something he doesn't have in stock, he orders it for me. His hours are great, and I have gotten some excellent fish and corals from him. As previous reviewers mention, I have also gotten pods to seed my tank and coral skeletons from him as well! I know hat if I ever need help with my tank, he is who I will call. Definitely recommend this store.

I came to this store. I asked Jason several questions about reef aquarium, he corrected me in a lot of errors I was making, now my tank is at 100% keeping consistency maintenance and all thanks to Jason. Now I buy my RO/DI water and Saltwater from him only. Thank you Jason for all your good advise you earned another loyal customer...

Found this place on Google. Lots of Saltwater tanks and some frag tanks. Excellent place to find your cleaner crew if you have a reef tank. Good prices on frags to get your tank going. I go there for my hermits and snails. He gave me the best price I found on a powder blue tang. Not only that, its the only one that has actually done well in my tank. He answers all my questions and always greets me at the door. Turned me on to the red algae for my tangs, and if you have a refugium he has chaeto. I'll keep going back.

Great fish store !! Jason and Sean always have lots of corals in stock at awesome prices .. it's also my favorite place to go for designer clownfish and LPS corals .. They are also one of the only shops around that uses Red Sea Coral Pro salt for there shop mix .. if you haven't used their saltwater you might want to .. Your tank will thank you later !!

Do not waste a trip to this store..This strore screams neglect. Looks like the proprietor has called quits on tank husbandry and is going down with the ship. This place is dark and 99% of the tanks are empty and filthy. The few fish that are condemned to living there are in dirty tanks also. Coral selection is beyond poor and the frag display tanks are dirty as well. Most corals are the color of mud..

Nice looking shop, prices are average to high. Customer service was poor. Asked a few questions and was answered with sarcasm and just seemed short and some what rude. Will shop elsewhere for better service. BTW owners / employees it doesn't hurt to :-) and it goes a long way. Just some + feedback.

I love these guys! I'm a designer & artist & called asking for what I didn't know was an uncommon name for a plate coral I needed pictures of, for my painting template course to teach people how to paint these things, & instead of hanging up on me not knowing what I'm talking about, the guy asked what a different scientific name it might have, what it looks like, & even looked it up on the web right there.I then came in to the store and he GAVE me 2 plate coral skeletons that I could photograph myself & use in my instructional videos as well, & told me how to clean them up!! Now I don't have to travel the world wide or deal with paying someone for use of their copyrighted plate coral photo!Plus my friend that came with me, discovered a new possible hobby he could get into that I've been trying to get him to take up some interest that would enrich his life. He went home all excited about starting up a fish tank.

There is very little fish selection and coral selection. Live rock had aptasia , and tanks have not been cleaned in a . Looks like their main display crashed since all I saw was sps skeletons. The store could use some maintenance. On their small coral selection they did have more than fair prices though.

After being to 100's of stores the guy working there is the most knowledgeable person i have ever met. Extremely helpful and wont sell you stuff you dont need. Saved me from losing 1000s in fish with a simple phone call. Excellent

When I first started with reef tanks I was buying water from another reef store who used filtered sea water. I was having bacteria problems my corals were not happy, and dieing off. Switched to his water and my corals doubled in size within a month. And these guys are real, they don't mess around and take their job seriously.

Only place in the Inland Empire you should be buying corals from. He has helped me fix and understand multiple problems with me reef aquarium. He has also been able to get equipment for me that i was unable to find at other places quickly.

Jason's a boss he has everything you need and anything he doesn't have he can order for you and have it the next day pumps as well as fish cause why is he gunna have a bunch of fish that people aren't gunna buy if your serious about your tank you would know that this store is sweet I sold my tank and miss going there
