Rite Aid Golden Center Lane is a lovely store and pharmacy. The staff are helpful and efficient. I used to go to a grocery store based pharmacy and now I have switched, wishing I had done this long ago! Also, the non pharmacy store is well stocked with a great variety of health and household items. Overall, I value this place!!

I walked in to the store with my grocery bag from Bel Air full of groceries I had just bought and decided to go to this store for some toiletries. As I was searching for my items an employee was following me around and said I did not walk in to the store with my grocery bag. After I said I did he said no you did not. I decided to leave and handed him the items I had in my hand to purchase. Upon leaving another female employee came from around the corner and pointed at me and said “you did not come into this store with that bag!!” After a couple of exchanges and them saying they were going to review security camera (which I encouraged)!I emptied my groceries into the counter!! This is all in front of other customers. The lady employees still said they were checking security after I had proved myself. as I was walking out She apologized and said oh sorry another customer said you didn’t come in with that bag. I told her she just lost a customer. It seems this a pattern in this store as other reviews seemed to have had the same experience.

In 2024 isn't it irresponsible as heck to not sell clean needles without a prescription? State law doesn't require a Rx for needles and you can be sure it doesn't stop any addicts. It promotes people using dirty needles and spreading disease and infection. It only slows me from managing my health with supplements that are NOT illegal or scheduled like B-12. This is irresponsible conduct for a pharmacy... But yeah keep selling liquor and making your money poisoning people

I have a prescription for hydrocodone for severe migraines. I take a very little amount (about 30 pills every three months. I have filled this rx for years w/o any issues) My local pharmacy was out of stock and I was referred to this pharmacy by my pharmacist for a refill. The pharmacy refused to fill it under the basis that they do not fill pain meds for migraines and that there are several other medications I should be taking instead. After some research I feel that this is highly unethical as a pharmacist that has never seen me give medical advice. They also did not refer me to any other pharmacies once they refused which is also against policy. I have reported it to the board of pharmacology.

TL;DR, auto refill isn’t automatic. You have to call each month and confirm that things are on time. And if you have a rare med, you should probably start a relationship with a location mid-town where they stock it, instead of in the Burbs.But thumbs-up to the customer service rep who called back to calmly listen to my complaint while fixing nothing.I guess I had high expectations due to my previous experience with WGrns.

5 people working the pharmacy and there is only one person manning the pickup windows and they are very slow, despite there being a huge line behind and in front of me. It's a good pharmacy, but this is very annoying, and I'm leaving 1 star because I cannot leave zero

This is my favorite pharmacy and drug store. Convenient location, cleanliness, good stock of products, and friendly/helpful staff. I love shopping here + the rewards program is awesome.

Best service I've ever experienced from a pharmacy ever! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The pharmacist was great and really took his time to help me. He even suggested an over the counter option that was less expensive than my prescription. Very satisfied.

I walked into this store holding a broken item I wanted to return. I was holding the item in plain sight, the manager and cashier saw me walk in with it .The manager named Scott accused me of stealing, refused to hear otherwise, and refused to return my item. As a black man, I felt racially profiled. I am not the type of person to call racism for clicks. I am a God fearing, fully employed American. I have never been treated this way before. I am 100 percent sure I am on camera following the rules of this establishment. I will be contacting corporate. Do not shop here if you want to be treated with respect.

This location is terrible. Customer service is non-existent. Can’t even manage to transfer a prescription. They need to slow down, ask the right questions and actually try to help people. Nobody cares these days. What a mess.

Was in here today just to grab a quick soda but when I got to the check out line I overheard the cashier and some customers having a loud conversation that chilled me. When I say I "overheard" it, I didn't have a choice but to hear it as they were talking very loudly. I hear talk of burying democrats 6 feet under, they are all a bunch of "p words" and cry about everything and don't defend this country cause won't sign up for armed services. The first part about killing and burying democrats scared me, the last part about not defending this country angered me. My father and grandfather were both democrat veterans of two wars, and I respected them tremendously. Back to the low score for this review, that cashier should have not have engaged in such a hateful conversation at a place of business in front of other customers. Won't be going to this location again.

I have shopped at this Rite Aid for 3 years and I have my prescriptions at this store. Today I purchased $50.00 in misc. items for a trip I will be taking. They were busy putting out new Christmas merch. I went to the only register. I choose the cash back for $40.00. The when it went through the cashier said I don't have $40.00. Okay, so what do I do. He said the guy might have it in his register when he comes back. Okay....so what now. He said cancel the purchase with cash back and just for the amount of the purchase. So when we were done I said that wasn't very helpful. Then I saw the other man come up the way and I told him I my situation and he said our system won't allow us to do it. I said they it shouldn't be given as a choice. He said you can use the ATM over there. I said is there a cost involved? He said I don't know I don't use it. I was flabbergasted. Jimmy seemed rude in his delivery and not at all customer service friendly. Seriously our system won't allow it.i will not be shopping at this store any more except for my prescriptions.I do not live another rite aid.

If I could give zero I would!! Two years ago, I reviewed, got a call from the then, manager and was told, the "filthy, dirty" bathrooms were going to be remodeled. Today they are even dirtier, than two years ago!! It had nothing to do with covid...the dirty, stinky bathrooms, began way before covid!I have lived in Rancho Cordova my whole life and supported Rite Aid, as a local, hometown business, but will NOT any longer. John, the "position supervisor", is so rude, makes no effort to help customers, and makes no eye contact, always walking around with his head down!Today, mid afternoon I was in line to make purchase, when a 2 for $4 purchase rung up at non-sale price. Even though it seems like no big deal, I was still being overcharged $1.00. When questioned about it, cashier had to call John up front. He came back, not looking or talking to me, but to the cashier, told him nope, not 2 for $4. I heard him, jumped in and said, "I checked the sale tab on shelf"...he, again told clerk... "regular price"! There was only one cashier, I looked back and there were about 5 people in line. So I told the cashier to cancel my order, I can easily make my purchase elsewhere, and will!! My total purchase was over $30! John, didn't say a word!Returning home, I looked up sale ad, to find the item was on sale 2 for $4!! Zooming in on ad, date is 8/15-8/21!!! Today is 8/14...so that is why register didn't pick up sale price. Wrong date!!! SO WHY, in early afternoon, day before next week's sale prices are in effect, have all the shelve sale tags been changed already??? Hmmmm, price scamming, no doubt!! How many people per day are wrongly charged??How much does Rite Aid rake in ringing customers orders up incorrectly...and how many folks don't see it and realize it once they are home, if they look at their receipts?? And, how many are going to go all the way back to the store, to get overcharge corrected??? Rite Aid, BENEFITS!! Not from my family anymore!! Shame on you RA!! P.S. I have a feeling Rite Aid will not be part of our "Hometown " stores much longer!!P.S.S. If I have time tomorrow, I'll head over there, take photos of the bathrooms and post!!

I recently moved a few mile away from my former address. There was a CVS Pharmacy near my new home. My experience with their Pharmacy department was horrible !! They lost my prescriptions, lost the information I provided 3 weeks earlier when I transferred my prescriptions and said Rite Aid had not transferred information, when they had 2 weeks prior. Needless to say even though I have to drive a few mile more, I returned to the Pharmacy team at Rite Aid, Gold River to have my prescriptions filled. The entire staff there is Friendly, professional and courteous along with being very accommodating. From Bill, Noora and Ray to Beth. Zora, Olga and all the other fantastic team members in the Pharmacy Department doing an outstanding job on a daily basis. I just wanted you to know what a good job your team is doing at this location and how much better than your competition you are.Thank youRick Kurianowicz

Went in for some ice cream with my 8 year old. To give him a confident booster for all his hard work that week. When ordering the young man by the name ifOf Richerd stated they had no cups. Well because of spills in the car, I asked if we could buy a cup, and he place the scoop in the cup. He proceeded to tell me no. So with another bright idea, I decided I would still buy the cup, and he can put the cone in the cup, I said to my son. And that moment, Richard did like that for what ever reason, and proceeded to tell my son and I he is not going to help us. AND WALKED AWAY FROM ME. I looked at my son with confusion in his eyes, and I said well thats not going to stop us from having ice cream. So I proceeded to the cup isle, and then the freezer to get out ice cream. (Also remembering that there was a self check out, he didn't need to help us) As my son and I approached the self check out, I overheard Richerd speaking to a co-worker and a customer about what has just happened. Inwas embarrassed for him and proceeded to ask him to not discuss my personal business with other customers, as that makes him to be very unprofessional. What ever he said to the ladies then allowed AAAAAS to chime in, as she proceeded to call me names in FRONT OF MY CHILD. AS STAFF JUST SAT THERE AND ALLOWED FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I think that young man needs a lesson in professionalism and customer service. Although, through self serve did we get our ice cream, he took the whole smiles from our faces. What a uneasy feeling the way some of the younger generation treat others. Thank you Richerd for showing my son how not to treat somebody, and hopefully RiteAide will provide Mr. Richerd some people skills.

Do not ever go here. NEVER EVER. One of the workers WHOSE NAME IS CHRIS racially profiled my mom and accused her of stealing when she walked out with nothing. The alarm went off when she entered the building AND when she exited, clearly indicating that the monitor was BROKEN. He checked her bag and everything, which PROVED that she stole nothing. He still belittled her and embarrassed her in front of a bunch of customers and told her to never come back. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Just know that I will be contacting the manager as this behavior should never be tolerated in any public facility.

I have been a Gold River resident for over 26 years and have heard nothing but negative comments about the Riie Aid Pharmacy. I did not believe the comments I have heard over the years until I experienced it myself. Rude, obnoxious, unprofessional and mean doesn't even begin to cover their behavior. They all need to be retrained if they were trained in the first place. The Gold River community is to special to have such a unprofessional business in our neighborhood. Shame on them. Switched to Walgreens. Huge difference. Highly professional, kind and knowledgeable.

This has been my family's pharmacy for years. I've shopped here weekly for a long as can remember. However I will no longer be doing business here because of an employee named Jimmy. He is the laziest, rudest man I have ever come across. I will be giving my business to CVS.

Worst customer service ever. No one was in line in front of me. Regardless, three employees were in a group hug for at least 20-30 seconds as I stood there. Then, I stood in front of a register, and someone asked another employee what register to ring me up at. A young woman with a piercing below her lower lip (I don't care about appearance) helped me and LITERALLY SCREAMED to her co-worker "HI VICKY" without turning her head. Like literally screamed 3 feet from my face, and loudly. Then she proceeded to reach in her shirt and scratch her breast while she rang me up. Unbelievable, jarring, rude experience. Clearly their socializing is way more important than customer service, or even being remotely polite.

Staff member scott make you feel unwelcome to the store, I understand we all have bad days but after several occasions being rung up by him I feel that he's not comfortable working for Rite Aid . This location is convenient for many reasons and scott being unprofessional as he is does not share said company values.

The pharmacy is a joke. Call in your scripts and the computer says that they will be refilled. But when you show up the next day not all scripts are refilled. The pharmacist says sorry that’s all we have, so I called the pharmacist and ask if they would fill the other scripts, she ask me if I had the number and I told her no, I have tossed the bottles .After fifteen minutes on the phone she finally ask me if I would like my available scripts filled. REALLY what do you think?

I have used the pharmacy at this location for nearly 10 years; and exclusively for 8 or so. I'm always impressed by their organization, prompt attention, and especially their kindness. They provide a community atmosphere that is often lost these days - they greet customers warmly, often recall names, and express a sincere interest in the well being of their customers.

My wife and I are treated very well by the pharmacys staff. The store staff is very good except the new manager. He needs additional training to understand ordering proper amounts of what is needed in the store and making sure the customer service is as good as it was before he took over.

I purchases a prepaid card that hadn't been activated properly on their part, and Im unable to get a replacement or refund it! The value of the card was $140 and I couldn’t get a refund? What kind of nonsense is that? Anyways I cant stress how disappointed I am... and that wasn’t even the first time that they had activated a gift card improperly!

Telephonic pickup request is often not fulfilled. As you go to the store 30 minutes after the requested pickup time, they may say they have not received the request or are still working on it.
