One of the folks at this location replaced the neck gasket on my Kokatat dry suit. It was done very quickly, keeps me completely dry, and for a very reasonable rate. With labor, pets and tax, around $100 and I have some spare aqua seal for future repairs as needed. If you have the tools and time to do it yourself they also have the gaskets in stock for a great price.I highly recommend this shop- they also had some good advice on re-outfitting my older whitewater boat and generally just seem like nice people!

I needed to purchase a kayak paddle, and He asked if I wanted to purchase something, and he would go in and sell me the item. I was very thrilled because I drove all the way from Natomas. Awesome place to buy or rent your next kayak, trust me. I dont often bother to write reviews but i feel like this place deserved it.I didnt know much about kayaks and didnt have much to spend, but the staff was still extremely helpful and easy to talk with, very relaxed and helpful place. Gave me one on one help for like an hour on 2 occasions. I bet he would have helped me out even if i wasnt buying anything.Ended up offering me a great deal, i left to think about it and check out another store, came back a few days later to buy and he still honored the deal, in fact actually sweetened it up even more! Even though i was already buying! That shows great integrity and customer service imo.I went to another shop in the area and well, they had a completely different tone. There were no other customers and i still barely got any one on one help, i felt like i was bothering them any time i went to ask something.Do yourself a favor and start here, you wont be disappointed.

My wife and I were looking to upgrade on a tandem sit-in kayak last year. We were impressed with the service and knowledge ofDaniel. He turned us on to Hurricane which was almost 1/3rd less weight of our old Perception. Unfortunately they didn't have any in stock and we didn't want to pay a couple hundred more for shipping from North Carolina. A year later and two brand new damaged kayaks (long stories) - we were back. They had what we wanted - or didn't know - that we wanted a new #Hurricanekayaks tandem sit-on-top in mango. We still have our first tandem sit-in. Back again and Daniel was excellent and cut us a nice deal. The store is a little unassuming in an old industrial park in Rancho. The store is small, but has an amazing selection of boats and gear. FIVE STARS! We're taking it for a spin this Sunday on Lake Natoma.

Just wanted to take a second to say that I am very happy with my new Hobie pro angler 12' Kayak. I was completely new to the Kayak world when I entered California Canoe & Kayak. And the staff was great with all the help and support that it took to get what I wanted and set up in a way that would work best for me. Chris was extremely patient with the whole process as it took several weeks to get the fish finder that I wanted only to realize that it was shipped without the transducer. So another two weeks of waiting. When it was all said and done I walked out with a great kayak, and a whole lot more knowledge than I starter out with. I would recommend anyone to check out the Rancho Cordova California Canoe & Kayak. Ask for Chris, very helpful. Can't wait to put this Kayak in the water.

These guys are the hight of classy. We have purchased two kayaks previously for my folks, which are still holding up great after years of heavy use. Not only extremely knowledgeable, but I noticed something wrong about the rudder on my mom's kayak, and mentioned it. The owner (without question!!!) grabbed a new rudder and replaced it on the spot. She bought a new Hobie paddle kayak and these guys explained all the ins and outs, took the time and answered all questions. Never once did they seem like they were annoyed or didn't want to help, in fact gave us more than we asked for and even told us some places to check out. I highly recommend to anyone who is new, or a seasoned kayaker. Will absolutely be going to them exclusively for all my kayak needs.

Went in today to check out the kayaks. The sales person quoted us a discounted price for a Hurricane Santee 140 2-person Tandem because there was a scuff on the the boat - special price for us $1,399!!! Of course like anyone who has access to the internet checked the price and the MSRP for 2016 model was $1,349.00! He acted like he was doing us a favor?!? "Ill give it to you for $1,399 because I saw a scuff" Thanks - but no thanks! You just lost all credibility. This sales person has no integrity what so ever - can't do biz with you just based on that. Don't waste your time here and get ripped off. It's a nice kayak and we like it but will not be getting here....

I tried to do my own gasket repair on my drysuit several days before a trip on the Rogue River and thoroughly botched it. I thought I was going to have to cancel on the trip, but I came to CCK and they had my exact same style drysuit to rent and gave me a ridiculously good deal on the terms. Thank you so much CCK for helping me out of a bind. I will definitely be bringing my drysuit back to you for the gasket repairs!

My second visit within a week, left work early to purchase the Hobie Compass kayak with accessories a purchase of over $3,500.00 due to the total lack of interest a let’s just say it RUDE store manager of all things. Well I may need to travel further but will be worth it to not feed or reward such poor business practices.
