Im from out of town, and my dogs had a food emergency. I called, and they were very helpful checking to see if they had the dog food my 2 boys eat. I definitely would shop here if I was from the area. Nice looking store.

Took my girl, Lizzy for a shampoo, blowout and nail trim. This isn't the first time I've takin her there. This time was just like all the others. They never disappoint! Thank you Bark Avenue, for another beautiful job! 🙂

So I bought 5 dog bathings at which time when I purchased it they said that if I paid for 5 I would get one free. I used my final bathing today only to find out I owed Bark Avenue $6 because I only had $12 left on my card. At no time from the time I bought it until today was I told there is a dollar amount on the card. I've been told I have 4 or 3 or 2 baths left. This was misrepresented by the staff. I asked for a manager but of coarse there was no manager available. It's not kept very clean and the sampoo bottles might have sampoo in them or maybe not. The air coming from the hair dryer is cold so it takes a long time to dry your dog. Needless to say I will not be going back to this store. I only gave them a 1 because I couldn't give them a 0.

Considering not returning to this location. Nothing but great experiences at this store, not this time.Started to bathe the husky and for two minutes the water ran cold. Upon asking the clerk, he rolled his eyes and told me to hold on a minute. He returned and said he flipped the switch and that it would either work or not???? What?The woman standing in front of me and holding her baby, waiting ten minutes just to find out if she could pay for dog food and pick it up when it arrives, was quite clearly upset and said so.We have had Mya, a seven year old huskys’ nails clipped at this location many times. We give her two doses of CBD treats to make sure that she is calm. Your groomer, someone we’ve not seen before, muzzled our dog and tried clipping her nails on the floor, not on the elevated platform. She tried for about three minutes before bringing Mya back out and referring us to a Vet! This young woman was either unwilling to do her job or not willing to deal with typical husky behavior.

**update**Went back for the grooming with misty and our dog turned out fantastic! The pictures do way better than any words I could produce 😁1st time customer, wonderful experience. My wife and I took our 6year old corgi mix in to get cleaned up after adopting him from a local shelter.The DIY wash stations (3 of them)were so easy to use and even with my bad back it was a pleasurable time. At $15 it was quite easy on the wallet too since they provided all the shampoos/conditioners, brush to use for cleaning, ear wipes and clean towels for drying off. They also have two air drying stations to help make your furry friend looking and feeling great!The storefront was laid out very well with products easy to find and a surprising amount of variety.We didn't use the groomer yet however she did come out too talk with us and made some recommendations with out feeling like she was trying to "sell" us, very friendly and seemed knowledgeable in dealing with our breed.And shout out to Nick for being a great sales associate and going the extra distance cleaning up after our dog peed (I fully was ready to do it myself but he wouldn't hear of it)Overall we had a great experience and will definitely go back for a variety of reasons. They earned a 5 star rating!

I have been taking my dog to Ava at Bark Ave on sunrise for 2 years. She is so caring and kind to my older dog who just turned 17 years old. She takes the time to put down a towel on the table to make sure my dog doesn't slide all over; gives him breaks if he gets tired ; reassures him because he doesn't see we'll... Ava us a great dog groomer who I highly recommend.🐾

In the last year or so the grooming department at Bark Ave has had some serious turn over issues. This last time I took my 15 year old husky mix in for grooming and was told by a clearly inexperienced groomer that I cannot bring her back to Bark Ave for grooming. Not because of bad temperament. Not because of behavioral issues. Nope, I was told that she’s too old, she requires too much accommodation since she can’t jump up on the table or in to the bath tub, and takes TOO LONG to groom. The lack of care and compassion for a senior pet was heart breaking. I would say that I’m never going back there but that choice was already made for me.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!The grooming was just terrible! Whomever did the grooming doesn't know what they are doing. And for the price $$$. And no compensation for the bad work. It's not customer friendly and I have been coming in there for all my pet products. NO MORE. They have lost this customer.

Bark Avenue, is an excellent place to bring your dog for all your dog/pet needs, I just happened to take mine to get a bath for 18 bucks. You get shampoo, conditioner towles, and a blow dryer for your mutt you can't beat that folks. Highly recommended.

My super cute 12 yr old little pomeranian Coco could nor get a princess treatment + pedicure & manicure bc she is susceptible to seizures and is therfore medically restricted from getting her rabbies shots. Geez how many more places are going discriminate in this world, truly sad. She has a medical note that is not acceptable by another heartless company, such as BARK PLACE. You'd never in California lose your license over this, from a 100% tipping type of person, bc of the circumstances Coco deserves a better grooming company than Bark Place. Be better in the future guys, life is worth more than discriminating against a small little 6lb doggie that has no teeth ♥In the future, just create a Liability Waiver Form that eliminates you from wrongful injury or death during the grooming process. Stuff happens in life and it's not always your fault, my little Coco is 12 years old, and I wouldn't have held anyone accountable for her passing away during a grooming session as long as she is not missing any limbs or any visible injuries. Protect yourselves, but never discriminate against disabled dogs/customers, doing that will never look good on you guys.

Great and friendly service! My kids and I rescued a dog and took her there to have her nails grinded. Their service was fast and friendly. I was able to add a self wash for our dog. Overall great visit and we will be back.

This is my second dog I’m bringing here exclusively. Everyone is so incredibly nice and helpful. My little one hates getting his nails trimmed but the groomers always do so well with him. Great selection of toys as well!! Petey and I love this place!

Workers are so kind and friendly, also very helpful. They have Self Dog Washing stations to wash your own pup, as well as a Grooming Dept if you would like them to take the reigns. Great selection of retail pet products, and in all sizes! They even had size xxxs for my Chihuahua!

This place is awesome! The customer service is outstanding. Jasmine and Tana are the best! So helpful, friendly and informative. I take my dog Lola here to have a bath and blow dry, self service, in one of their 3 huge tubs. They are amazing and Lola loves it. The tubs have a rinse and shampoo setting. They have several shampoos and conditioner you can set the settings too and they work so great! Super easy to use. They provide towels and ear wipes and if you want to lather them up several times, it’s fine. The blow dryer is perfect for Lola. She’s a doodle and curly and the dryers get her fur so soft and silky and near straight. Doesn’t get overly hot, so no worries about the dog being burned by the dryer. It’s one setting. There are 3 dryer stalls. I have seen tiny dogs being bathed by their owners here as well as the hugest dogs too. It’s a great setup and I appreciate the kind customer service. Jasmine remembered my name today when I came in. It totally took me by surprise and gave me a big smile. The fee is $15 or you can have unlimited shampoos for 2 dogs for $45 a month. Great price. I highly recommend this place.

I visited the Rancho Cordova location for the first time today. First of all the soap never came out of the sprayer but one of the employees fixed that. When it was time for me to dry my 5 pound Chihuahuas I realized the blower dryer was too powerful and they weren’t any settings to minimize it. My dogs were in extreme distress and one kind of employee suggested that maybe the groomer could help me finish drying them. They did but later on she came to tell me she sort of got in trouble for this. She kindly said they would not do this again and I told her that was not going to happen again because I realized the dog wash wasn’t equipped for such small dogs so I will not come back. As I was leaving I told the only male employee working there that I was glad the other employee fixed the issue with dryer otherwise I would’ve had to officially complain and he basically just walked away and left me talking to myself. I have no idea what his name was but he was rude and on top of that he was annoyed that the other employee fixed my issue. I am very disappointed this happened during my first visit. It’s unfortunate that I have to take my business somewhere too. I am even more disappointed that an employee that fixed things got in trouble for it.

This was my first time here. I had my dog groomed and they did a great job. While I was there I enquired about nail trimmings for my two other large breed dogs. They trimmed one while I was there and the other when I picked up my dog from grooming. Amazing service and good prices! I will be back as a loyal customer.Great place!!

Adore this place! I have a 95 lb German Shepard that I take in for a bath when I get over that way. The bath is huge so she fits in nicely and the shop supplies scrubber, soap, conditioner, towels and dryer. Its so much easier for me to reach her and wash her properly. Then Abby gets her treat Bully stick and all for under 30.00. The bath is about 15.00.

I went in the store today and asked if they have Prurina Pro. The young lady behind the counter said, we don't sell it, it's not good dog food. The other young lady said it's the McDonalds of dog food.This use to be my favorite store. These young ladies have no idea who I am or what i know about dogs and dog food.They obviously need to be trained in dog food and customer service. Their smug attitude will run people off even if they were right, but they are not. Purina use to have a bad name, but they have changed. The pro product line is highly recommended and a quality product.
